Jodi Picoult Handle with Care is half price at Waterstone's :D
I'm not allowed to read any books until after exams. :( I've been banned.
i read a book on the lyceum theatre for my essay, got quite interesting near the end lol!
now ive finished all my work for this year, ive started reading "nineteen minutes" by jodi picoult, ive read over half of it already and its really good. its about a boy who goes into his high school and shoots and kills 10 people, then it goes back in time so you can sort of understand why he did it. dont really know how the ending is going to be that interesting though, cos normally wth her books it revolves around the court case and if the person is guilty or not, but seeing as we know from the start that the boy shoots them, im looking forward to seeing how she ends it
Yes, I haven't read it yet - don't have time! :(
I was going to wait until it came out in paperback but it was half price so around the same price. :p
I've just bought the second book in the Kathy Reichs series. :D 1p off amazon! (Plus the postage though!)
My next aim is to get the rest of the V.I.Warshawski books. They're pretty cheap too.
I don't know if anyone read the Adrian mole series but I found his last one that i didn't know existed "Adrian mole and the weapons of mass destruction".. I got it for €3 in a sale... so happy and it is still brilliant like the rest of the series
Hey everyone i just started to read PS, I love you on saturday and i am nearly finished. I am really enjoying it so thankyou to everyone who suggested it.:cheer:
Anyone got any good suggestions for my next book :)
finished reading "nineteen minutes" by jodi picoult today, it was really good, i really would never have guessed the ending! some of the chapters were almost 100pgs long though!
now im gonna start reading "thanks for the memories" by cecelia ahern
Totally. :D
The only books I'm currently reading are British Foreign Policy 1919-39 and OCR Double Applied Science A2.
I'm having so much fun.
I'm currently trying to read wuthering Heights but i don't know it confuses me a bit but i think i'll just carry on reading it then i can say look i've read it lol.
The Catcher and The Rye for a 2nd time around as the first time I didn't get it!
im currently reading "Life With My Sister Madonna" by Christopher Chiccone.
It's written by Madonna's brother, and it's his memoirs and in it he kind of exposes the real Madonna, and what a bitch she was to him over the years, it's a really gripping read, and if it's true (im sure some is made up) it's made me think of madonna in a whole new light!!!
I have read that.. it is really good book.. I am in 2 minds about it too.. it kinda makes me question Madonna (and I love the woman) but if what her brother has written is true, then you can forget everything you have read about Madonna so far... he said she made up stories to release to the press like moving to New York with like 3 dollars in her pocket is bull ****
I'm going to buy My sisters Keeper and Angels and Demons on Monday not sure which one I'm going to read first.
I finished the Balckwater lightship, it was good even if a bit depressing and was a bit different as apparently i have seen the film. I was thinking half way through i am sure i have read this before! and then realised.
Now need to find another book to read now. Any suggestions???
Finished Handle With Care. Man I'm so mad at Jodi right now. The ending. Wtf. Why. :thumbsdow
:rolleyes:Spoiler:
I am reading The Color Purple by Alice Walker and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a book to read at the moment. It is in a letter format but you soon get used to it.
I am thinking about doing a MSc in Management of Research and Enterprise at Southampton - I will start out just doing the Post Grad Cert first so I guess my reading is going to slow to a stop for a while....
Go for it Trin.
I bought My sister's keeper and Angels and Demons today.
I have read Angels and Demons, found it fascinating and difficult to put the book down :)
I want to read some Jodi Picoult books, which should I start with?
just finished The Lovely Bones by Alice Seabold and My Sisters Keeper (saw the film on Friday and the book is so much better)
I have started reading my sisters keeper today.........
I agree My Sister's Keeper and Nineteen Minutes are good ones to start with, also Tenth Circle is really good.
