Great episode ... can´t wait until tomorrow
Yeah.. I don't think it was a great episode at all.. Went bit too far in my opinion. Great for Halloween though!

emma is bats to the wall crazy but i like her could be as i like gillian
Is it just me who has not been too overly fond of this week's episodes so far, I was expecting much better maybe the ending of No Return week will be better
Emma Barton's breakdown had Emmerdale fans gripped last night - but it turns out that not everyone was so impressed by the dark scenes.
Gillian Kearney's unstable character has taken her craziness to new heights recently, which was enough to get some fans contacting Ofcom to complain. As usual.
In a homage to Stephen King's Misery, Emma has been holding her husband James captive in their own home after discovering that he'd cheated on her with his old flame Moira Barton.
Wednesday's visit to the Dales saw the action escalate as Emma put on her wedding dress from the '80s in a desperate bid to remind him of happier times.
It was all pretty unsettling, especially when the gown ended up blood-stained because Emma had just slaughtered a chicken outside on the farm. Which she then proudly held up to show James that a lovely dinner was on the way - chilling!
Things also got pretty violent when James attacked Emma with a bottle, then finally knocked her unconscious when she hit her head on a wooden chair. But whoever said that Emmerdale's version of Misery would be easy viewing?
Ofcom has confirmed to Digital Spy today that it's received 7 complaints from viewers who felt the scenes were unsuitable for the show's 7pm timeslot.
Those fans objected to the violent and scary themes - including threatening behaviour, an attack on an animal, torture and imprisonment.
An Ofcom spokesperson told Digital Spy: "We will assess these complaints, before deciding whether to investigate or not."
Let's just hope those 7 viewers are prepared for the horror in store tonight (October 20) when a massive road pile-up leaves lives hanging in the balance...
Emmerdale airs tonight at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.
groundhog day for ashley
Hard to watch but well done! If only it was Emma that died.. Would have deserved..
that crash was epic, not looking good for paddy and james
I'm surprised Ashley is quite ok after that!! Well played by the actor.
Took quite a long time for robron to get out..
robert going back to save lachlan surprised me, thought he hated him
He went back as he thought he was tied /taped in the boot. Would have raised suspicion if they found him in there. I don't understand though that when he realised that lachlan wasn't in the boot anymore, why did he keep on searching for him?
Just caught up with Emmerdale tonight and to sum the episode up in a nutshell:-
FANTASTIC/AMAZING STUNTS
RIDICULOUS OTT STORYLINE
I may be in a minority of one, but being honest it didn't do alot for me, can't wait to get back to normal. The problem we have is itv insist on having a massive storyline on the anniversary which falls in October. It is the same with Coronation St and BGT week. I suppose you could say the same for EastEnders with their storylines over Christmas and the New Year.
IMO it doesn't help the life and the health of a soap.
Why wasn't Dan in the scenes?? I thought he was the local paramedic, would have been his chance to shine!
Wish the rest of the stunts build up had noy begun in ashleys episide as i thought the whole gapping in his storyline last night was brilliantly thought out and portrayed. My dad died of alzheimers and vasc dementia this june and for the first time i felt someone had given me a small insight into what his life must have been like daily. Fantastic plot throughout for ashley and family but fear he will be the death in the woods from a dementia related stroke.
Yes, he kind of said goodbye too, although I would imagine with a long time character like Ashley they may want him to be able to say proper goodbyes in the hospital and then die.. It would be more realistic though and maybe even beautiful.. if they just let him fall asleep and pass away in the woods. Ashleys part was well written, he deserves it. Great actor. Will miss Ashley definitely.

What a coincidence all those characters being on the same road at the one time and even more coincidental that when James fell/was pushed off the bridge he should hit the windscreen of another emmerdale resident.
To think I used to think DEeadenders was far fetched.
Did Emma have something to do with Holly's death?
Surprised that James is still alive. Emma certainly looked worried!
No surprise there, James gone, RIP
I hate it if Ashley will be charged for this! Wasn't there eyewitnesses other than him who saw them two on the bridge??! I remember cars colliding with ashleys so someone must have seen them!!
brilliant week with a fantastic climax yesterday but I did not want John Barton to go. Thought he was a brilliant character and was loving the story with him and Emma.
I was thinking whether Ross would arrive to hospital at the right time and see his mom killing James (which she didn't have to then..) - as Emma tried to kill Ross when he was just a baby..
