Prince William has visited one of the oldest women in Britain to apologise on behalf of his mother the Queen.

The prince surprised 109-year-old Catherine Masters by turning up at the Grange Care Centre in Stanford in the Vale, Oxfordshire, for tea.

The pensioner had written to the Palace to complain that the monarch always wears the same yellow dress on her official birthday cards, The Sun reports.

Masters said: "It was a shock to see him there saying he had come along to explain. He was a delightful young man. I said it would be nice to see the Queen in blue or white."

Senior nurse manager Wendy Mead said: "We received a call and within five minutes, Prince William had arrived. It was a total shock, and Catherine was speechless.

"Prince William came in and she asked if he was real. She squeezed his hand to check."

Masters has now been invited to a garden party at Buckingham Palace on July 7.

The former Charlie’s Angels star looks weak and exhausted in the intimate scenes – released last night.

The moving documentary footage shows pained Farrah lying in her bed and receiving treatment.

Her long-term lover Ryan O'Neal praised Farrah’s courage for appearing on film.

The actor said: “There were times where she got terribly ill and started to vomit. She didn't care.

“She was possessed, you know?

“She's been on film all her life, I guess, since she was 19 or 20. She didn't care.”

Farrah, 62, began filming her treatment in January last year, after her cancer returned.

The 70s sex symbol was diagnosed with the disease in 2006.

She was given the all-clear after initial treatment but the deadly disease struck her down again.

Her condition has now deteriorated so badly that she is bed-ridden and has lost all her hair.

She first began to record her trips to Germany as she sought the latest medical treatment, taping her doctors' words so that she would remember everything she was told.

The footage was then turned into a documentary with the help of NBC.

The show is due to be screened in the US on Friday.

Singer Pink has said that she and her husband, Carey Hart, have reunited.

The singer confirmed the rumour in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres which is due to be broadcast today in the US.

People reports that she tells DeGeneres she finds it funny to perform her song 'So What' in which she is very critical of Hart. She says "He's in the audience so when I sing, 'He's a tool,' now that's my favourite line."

The pair married in Costa Rica in January 2006 but announced they were going their separate ways last year. However they did not divorce.

Gordon Ramsay's alleged mistress has made an appearance on the season finale of Hell's Kitchen.

Sarah Symonds, with whom Ramsay is accused of having a seven-year secret affair, appeared on last night's finale of his US reality show.

Symonds can be seen dining alone before filling out a feedback card. Her appearance was filmed in 2008, during the period in which the alleged affair took place.

Earlier this year, a report claimed that Ramsay and wife Tana are planning to renew their wedding vows.

Vinnie Jones has been found not guilty of assaulting a man during a fight in a South Dakota bar.

The British actor, 44, had claimed that he was acting in self-defence when he punched Juan Barrera at the Sioux Falls lodge last December after being glassed in the face by one of his friends.

An attorney for the star had added that Barrera was mocking his voice and accent during the altercation, saying: "Vinnie Jones used very reasonable force in an attempt to protect himself when he finally could."

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph following the verdict, Jones said: "We came here today and told the truth, and the people of Sioux Falls saw through that. They saw through Barrera and his antics.

"I stood up for myself that night and I stood up for myself today. And justice has prevailed."

Jones, who was forced to seek hospital treatment following the brawl, had previously told the court that his "nose was hanging off" as a result of the attack.

Beyoncé has reportedly recruited Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton to help improve her driving.

According to The Mirror, the 'Halo' star and husband Jay-Z became friends with Hamilton after meeting him in Monaco ahead of this weekend's Grand Prix.

"Beyoncé's so excited to be learning from him. And Jay's even worse. He's ready to put on his helmet and get in the fast lane himself," said an insider.

The singer, who recently dismissed speculation that she is ready to start a family, reportedly travelled to Monaco from the Cannes Film Festival to support younger sister Solange, who is playing a gig there.

Mel Gibson is expecting a new child with his girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, it has been reported.
According to TMZ, Grigorieva is currently in her second trimester.
Gibson officially divorced his wife Robyn in April after 28 years of marriage, before dating Grigorieva later that month.
The 39-year-old Russian musician already has an 11-year-old son with her former partner, actor Timothy Dalton. Gibson also has seven children from his previous marriage.

Woody Allen has reached a settlement in his lawsuit against clothing company American Apparel, it has been reported.

The 72-year-old will receive $5 million from the company for parodying an image of him in an advertisement without asking for his permission, says Access Hollywood.

In a statement, Allen said that he hoped the settlement "would discourage American Apparel or anyone else from ever trying such a thing again".

Dov Charney, the brand's president, has told reporters that it wasn't his decision to settle, saying that American Apparel's insurance company "controlled the defence" in the case.

"I'm not sorry of expressing myself," Charney added.

Wish they would use my image without my permission if I can then get this kind of settlement fee :lol:

Hayden Panettiere has sparked speculation she has moved on from ex-boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia after she was spotted getting close to U.K. TV presenter Steve Jones on a yacht in Cannes, France.

The 19-year-old Heroes star called it quits with actor Ventimiglia last year, and gossips speculated the split was caused by the couple's 12-year age difference.

But now the actress has been linked with an even older hunk - 32-year-old Welsh celebrity Jones, who has previously been linked to Halle Berry and Pamela Anderson.

Panettiere was first seen with Jones at London's Nobu Berkeley restaurant last week (begs11May09) - and the pair was snapped together again on Monday, sunbathing on David Furnish's yacht while in the French Riviera for the film festival.

US rapper Dolla has been shot dead outside a Los Angeles shopping mall after a fight reportedly broke out.

The rapper, whose real name is Roderick Anthony Burton II, was shot in the head at the Beverly Center mall and later died at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.

Police said a "person of interest" was detained on Monday at an LA airport over the incident.

The 21-year-old was in LA recording his debut album which was due to be released this summer.

The artist was killed while he and another rapper, DJ Shabbazz, waited outside the mall after a shopping trip.

Although a motive for the killing is unclear, police officer Karen Reyner said the victim and the gunman had been arguing before the attack. After the shooting, the gunman fled in a silver Mercedes-Benz.

The up-and-coming rapper caught the attention of R&B singer and producer Akon at the age of just 12 as he performed with friends at showcases around Atlanta.

The two collaborated on Dolla's first single which also featured rapper T-Pain.

Another single, Feelin' Myself, also featured on the soundtrack of 2006 dance film Step Up.

The rapper's publicist, Sue Vannasing, said a funeral service, to be held in Atlanta, would be announced later.
