Geoff is certainly arrogant dropping the SIM card from Elaine's phone down a drain in the middle of The Street, in broad daylight. Altho he checked no one was about did he check for "Curtain Twitchers" someone could have seen him. We don't have drains in the middle of our roads, our drains are in the gutter, easier for dropping things into without being noticed. He would have been safer throwing the whole phone in the canal.
I don't think Geoff has killed Elaine, but if Sally or Alya are so worried about her disappearing have they thought to look in the ginnel, where she was last seen.

Alya has some money but not enough, Sally offered to give her the rest. Business dealings in Soaps rarely compare to reality, which is why they are often vague and don't mention the actual amounts involved. I can't remember where Geoff actually got the money to buy into the business in the first place. Does he get paid as a hospital DJ, are these positions not usually voluntary? Judging by how much money he was taking out of the business for escorts, dresses and to give to Tim and Sally for their wedding, Speed Daal must be worth quite a bit. Business values in Soaps seem to rise and fall to suit the script.Quote:

I think originally when Speed Daal open it was owned by Zeedan and Imran who invested when Rana's parents pulled out. Imran later sold his share to settle his divorce. Alya bought it by selling her shares in Underworld. She was sole owner until Geoff and Yasmeen bought in as partners, not sure where the money came from, if it was all Yasmeen's or if they remortgaged her house. Can't remember if they own equal shares, or if Alya owns 50% and Geoff and Yasmeen the other 50% between them. Even if Yasmeen owns a quarter she may not be able to give it to Alya if there is a clause in the contract giving Geoff first option.Quote:
