Evelyn trying to sell her out of date stock to Rita. :D
I was expecting our Rita to warble out an old ditty with it being VE Day, I am glad she didn't.
David is better off without Shona, stay well clear.

If Shona actally fancied Platt I feel sure she would show some interest
Rita reeally annoyed me when she said that everyone thought it was all over on VE day. The many thousands who had husbands and sons stil fighting or being held prisoner in the far east did NOT think it was all over
Did Rita say she was 13 on VE day, is she really 88?
That's true, I thought it was a bit thoughtless. It wasn't as if the Luftwaffe was still carrying out a bombing campaign of any significance on Britain. The closest thing that had happened to that was the V1 and V2's and by the time the Allies crossed the Rhine the vast majority of those sites were neutralised.
It seems that often the war in the East was forgotten. The only reason I could think of was when Rita said "the end of a great evil", she meant Hitler and his deputies specifically.
Peter was very dashing in his navy suit
Why can Daniel join a grieving widows support group, continuation from his grieve retreat in Scotland, get friendly with Roy, talk to him as both lost wives to cancer
how can daniel afford the hooker
Seb was displaying ridiculous lockdown hair last night - even before he had to spend a single day in lockdown!
Platt claims that he could have any woman in the street. I guess that it must be in Mr Shepherd's contract.
did ray get his wallet back
I don't think so, but it couldn't happen to a nicer guy, bar Geoff.
I liked the references to older characters who aren't with us any more, like Betty and her old boyfriend Billy who she was re-united with on the 50th anniversary of VE Day. This was shown on Classic Corrie only a few weeks ago.
kinda want them to go back to yas and geoff, sick of shona and seb
Pretty much, the Geoff and Yasmeen story has been going on and I'm just not interested about any Seb story just now.
I want to see Geoff nailed, preferably literally to a wall.
I wouldn't say I have zero interest in this story, but I have zero interest in this Seb story. These sort of "will they, won't they" stories involving possible romances get dragged out too long. While the Geoff/Yasmeen one has been long running its a lot more compelling.
I don't know as well, I find the way Leanne talks to Oliver with her voice higher pitched a little irritating, I know they're showing her as concerned, which is fair, and I'm not saying she should never do it, it just seems to be overly done.
Interesting to see Tracy being more sympathetic, while she'll never be Miss goody two shoes, it seems they have been making her a bit better lately.
Looks like the Geoff and Yasmeen storyline will be coming back this week, which will make things more interesting. I've no interest in the Seb/Alina/Emma storyline either. They had to make Tracy more sympathetic in this context as making her usual catty comments to a worried mother would be taking things too far, even for her. One thing I like about Leanne's storyline is that it's given her more scenes with Steve. They get on with each other better than they do with their respective partners.
when did imran and toyah decide on fostering, surely ryan's drug past will go against him living with a foster kid
Leanne's reaction to Oliver's diagnosis might have been more powerful if she had acted out of character - just staying quiet, trying to take it in etc rather than ranting at the doctor.
has steve being calm just accepted his son is dying or just that the actor simon cant act another similar storyline
i just find steve gormless carefree calm, simon isnt the best actor for emotional scenes
good scenes with emma jenny and peter nick
seb and alina could leave
The whole Seb/Alina thing just seems as if it's going nowhere fast.
I also notice nothing is ever mentioned of Seb being HIV+ nowadays, at all. That is if I'm remembering his story right.
Really also disliked the way Nick was at first with Peter but at least they seemed to make up.
I am not liking the attitude of Simon Barlow
Was it really necessary for Toyah to cancel the fostering ?
I hope that Chesney and Gemma got the sausages
