Yes no id for Northern Ireland as it's part of UK Dan was going to The Rebulic of Ireland which is still in the EU.

yes dan was going to a dingle in donegal unless came in by NI then drove there as it up the north of ireland very near NI, derry

Nowadays you will need a form of ID to travel almost anywhere by flying or ferry. Flying from London to Scotland it is required, and while technically a passport is not needed, some airlines and ferry companies will only accept a passport as proof of I'D.

Dan travelling alone with a young girl and a baby would almost certainly have been stopped and checked to make sure this was not a case of child abduction.

Thats what made me think his quickest route would have been Cairnryan to Belfast and he would have been in Donegal in 2 hrs or less. Otherwise its 3 -4 hrs from Dublin and all those identity checks

Agree with all that but I mainly blame Liam who was her boss. If she wants to stay as a nurse she will need to find somewhere who do not need to see her qualifications
