Chrissie woke up in Alfie's bed. What had she done? She felt awful. She sat up. Alfie was buttoning his shirt. He glanced at her. She smiled shyly and pulled the duvet tighter around her almost bare body.
"What happened was a mistake. I mean, you're Jake's girlfriend and I know he loves you." He said, sitting on the bed.
"Yeah and that's why he proposed so soon." She said sarcastically.
"Well why do you think he did it?" He said. His voice softened, "Listen, he's probably regretting what he did. He's never been in a serious relationship. He doesn't know what he's doing."
She sighed thinking about it.
"I'd better get dressed." She said.
"Alright." He said and left the room.
She picked up her clothes off of the floor and began to get dressed.

Chrissie was sitting in the cafe. She felt so confused. She rested her head on her hand. She closed her eyes and listened. She could hear people shouting outside on the market. She could hear people coming in and going out. She listened more carefully. She could hear the radio in the kitchen.
"..and now we're gonna play the next single from their album, Taller in More Ways. It's the Sugababes with Follow Me Home." Said the DJ before playing the record.
The music filled the room.

Chrissie stood up. She was no longer confused. She walked out and headed for the club. Jake was sitting at the bar trying to do the order form. He looked up from the clipboard and dropped the pen.
"Chrissie." He said as he walked over to her. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it to happen. I just-"
"It's ok. I've realised who I want to be with. And it's you." She whispered.
He pushed a stray curl behind her ear.
"Sorry. I just got so wrapped up that I didn't see how fast we were going." He continued.
"It's ok." She said as she stroked his cheek.
"If what you want is to take things slow, then we can take things slow."
She nodded and kissed his lips gently.

Danny walked into the club. Chrissie looked at Jake, wanting to get out to avoid some stupid sarcastic comment from his brother.
"Jake could you give me a hand with some crates please." Chrissie said, smiling.
"I'll help you in a minute. I still haven't finished the orders." Jake said, tapping the pen on the table.
"Jake. Now." She said, raising an eyebrow.
"Oh right." He whispered. "Yeah I'll help you."
They went into the store room.
"Thankyou." She smiled.
"And do I get a reward?" He hoped.
"Of course." She said, edging closer to him.
He captured her in his arms and kissed her. Their lips parted.
"What's the date?" Chrissie asked.
"17th. Why?"
She put her hand over her mouth and gasped.
"My period was due 2 weeks ago."
"What? Wait a minute.." He said, adding up the facts. "You don't think you're.."
"Maybe."
She couldn't think straight. What if it wasn't Jake's baby, and it was Alfie's?
