With Deirdre Barlow's on-screen death about to air, an official book focusing on the character has been announced.
Deirdre: A Life on Coronation Street will follow her over the 42 years Anne Kirkbride portrayed her on the cobbles.

The book, published by Century, will include storyline details, never-before-seen photographs, trivia and behind-the-scene reminiscences.
Anne Kirkbride passed away in January after a short illness.
A memorial service was later held for her on May 30, where tributes were paid by cast and crew including Ken Barlow actor William Roache, Beverley Callard, Elle Mulvaney and executive producer Kieran Roberts
Deirdre: A Life on Coronation Street will be published in hardback on October 22, priced at £18.99.
