I'm glad he's not going to die as I really want him to face justice for what he's done. Killing him off would be too easy at this stage and it would mean he would die unrepentant. Let's hope it doesn't become a Phelan type storyline which goes on forever and gets more and more far fetched.

Yes, that seems to happen a lot in Soaps. The story as originally envisaged probably has a finite life and is sketched out in advance. However, the story (or the actors involved) get a lot of good feedback and the producers are very reluctant to let the story go, so they spin it out beyond credulity. We saw it in Corrie with Pat Phelan and in EE with Deano Wicks, amongst others. They then get to the point where, as you say SoC, they have to make it up as they go along.Quote:

Good to see Gail and Audrey having a funny, yet touching scene together. Audrey was a bit annoying at first but it was a lovely reminder that although she wasn't a great mother she has been making up for it for the last three decades, having been a counsellor, employer and babysitter to three generations of the Platt clan.
