Oliver was celebrating the birth of his third child today — another baby daughter — named Petal Blossom Rainbow.
The chef was by wife Jools' side as she gave birth at a London hospital in the early hours of this morning.
A spokesman for the couple said: "Jamie and Jools Oliver are delighted to announce the arrival of Petal Blossom Rainbow this morning at 2.46am.
"Petal was born at the Portland Hospital in Central London, weighed in at 6lb 10oz and both she and Jools are doing well.
"The Olivers would like to thank midwives Linda Ordish and Elaine Porter and also obstetrician William Dennis for their wonderful help and support. "
Jamie, 33, received text updates from the hospital while he cooked dinner for world leaders at Downing Street on Wednesday night.
Mobiles were banned from the banquet but Prime Minister Gordon Brown pledged to keep Jamie in touch "minute by minute".
Yesterday he took time out from his hospital vigil to call American Idol host Ryan Seacrest in LA.
He told Seacrest’s breakfast radio show, as Jools was being induced due to high blood pressure: “We’re talking about the most stressful 46 hours of my life I think.
“My wife was due yesterday - actually on the day that we did the big dinner for Barack and the other 20 leaders of the world - but luckily it didn’t happen yesterday.
“But she’s got high blood pressure so she’s being induced as we speak.”
The couple already have two daughters Poppy Honey, seven, and Daisy Boo, five.
When Jools fell pregant Jamie said: "It would be great to have a boy, as I am in a totally oestrogen-filled house. But I really don't mind as long as it's healthy."
But their spokesman said today: "Jamie and Jools are both completely smitten with Petal already and Jamie is looking forward to two weeks paternity leave to spend quality time with his four beautiful girls."
Jamie married former model Jools in June 2000. The couple met in 1993.
Congratulations to them :cheer:
POP queen MADONNA was "furious" today after a judge in Malawi today sensationally denied her bid to adopt little MERCY.
Madonna was told she could not take the tot back with her to the US because the singer was not a permanent resident of Malawi.
Sources close to the star said she was "spitting blood" after the judge defied the Malawian government to deny the adoption.
But the judge launched a stinging attack on high profile celebrities flying in to poverty-stricken countries and adopting children.
The ruling said: “Put simply courts do make law by the process of precedence and Miss Madonna may not be the only international person interested in adopting the so-called poor children of Malawi.
“By removing the very safeguard that is supposed to protect our children the courts by their pronouncements could actively facilitate trafficking of children by some unscrupulous individuals who would take advantage of the weakness of the law of the land.
“Anyone could come to Malawi and quickly arrange an adoption that might have grave consequences on the very children that the law seeks to protect.
“Having considered this then, at the end of the day I must decline to grant the application for the adoption of the infant CJ.”
Court registrar Ken Manda told reporters Madonna’s bid to adopt a 4-year-old girl, Mercy James, had been rejected because the singer was not a resident of Malawi.
More than 100 rights groups have accused Malawian authorities of giving Madonna special treatment.
Malawi’s government, which came under fire after Madonna adopted David Banda, said on Thursday it would support a second adoption.
The judge said: “According to information from global media the petitioner jetted into the country just days after making the application.
“I take judicial notice of the reports in the media that the last time that the Petitioner was in the country was in 2008 at the time of the final adoption order for David Banda.
“In my considered opinion this would completely remove the Petitioner from the definition of a resident as defined by the Oxford English Dictionary.”

When she adopted David we were told that he would always have a connection to Malawi and know his roots. When he arrived there this week he met his dad and said,'Who are you?'. In English, he no longer knows the language of his birth, as his father doesn't speak English they had to communicate through an interpreter.
Farrah Fawcett's anal cancer has spread to her liver, but she is "doing fantastic," according to a producer speaking for the actress.
The former Charlie's Angels star is currently hospitalized for abdominal bleeding after undergoing aggressive treatments in Germany to address the cancer's spread to her liver, producer Craig Nevius told The Associated Press. Initial reports said Fawcett, 62, was in critical condition, but Nevius said the actress is "not at death's door."
"She's on the mend and will be going home very shortly," Nevius said. "She's doing fantastic. Her fight goes on. ... She's not going anywhere anytime soon."
Fawcett's physician, Lawrence Piro, said the star suffered a hematoma after flying back to the United States following a procedure in Germany. He said recent photos of her in a wheelchair were misleading.
"Actually, it was painful for her to walk, which is why she was in that wheelchair. And that pain, which was coming from the hematoma, had nothing directly to do with the cancer," Piro told People. "She's able to walk. And she remains in good spirits with her usual sense of humor. She's been in great shape her whole life and has an incredible resolve and an incredible resilience."
Fawcett was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006. She was declared "cancer free" in February 2007, but the cancer returned months later, prompting her to seek alternative treatments in Germany.
Speaking on Fawcett's behalf, Nevius said Fawcett wants to address the recent reports in "appreciation for her fans, who have offered their constant support throughout her fight. ... Farrah has hope, and she hopes that others will continue to hold onto theirs."
Gareth Gates and his wife Suzanne have reportedly welcomed a daughter.

The former Pop Idol contestant is starring in the West End production of Joseph And The Amazing TechniColour Dreamcoat.
Congratulatins to them :cheer:
Redmond O’Neal has been arrested for drug possession in a prison parking lot.
O’Neal, the son of Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal, was charged with possession of a controlled substance on jail property, the New York Post reports.
O'Neal was visiting a friend at Los Angeles County’s Pitchess Detention Centre and was detained after a routine security check, during which he admitted to having drugs on his person.
He was charged with two felony counts - suspicion of possession of narcotics and bringing narcotics into a jail.
The 24-year-old is being held on $25,000 bail and will appear in court on Tuesday.
In February, a bench warrant was issued for O’Neal on a missed arraignment relating to a 2008 drug bust involving his father.
His mother, 62, was admitted to the hospital last week and is undergoing treatment for cancer.
What an idiot - taking drugs into the prison

Chris Brown has pleaded not guilty to felony charges stemming from a domestic incident involving his then-girlfriend Rihanna. The singer, 19, was arraigned Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Brown pleaded not guilty to one count of assault and one of making criminal threats. Rihanna was not present at the hearing.
If convicted, Brown could face a sentence of up to four years and eight months in prison, CNN reports. His lawyers have also been in "serious" plea-bargain negotiations with prosecutors and are "close" to a deal, according to TMZ.
Rihanna's lawyer, Donald Etra, told TVGuide.com that there are no updates regarding the deal, but confirmed that Rihanna would be willing to testify if the case goes to trial.
Neither lawyers nor reps for Brown were immediately available for comment. Brown's next scheduled court appearance is a status hearing, set for April 29.
