Coleen Rooney is pregnant
Coleen Rooney is three months pregnant, the Sunday Mirror can reveal today.
Coleen 22, and footballer husband Wayne – Man of the Match after scoring twice for England against Slovakia yesterday – are said to be “absolutely thrilled”.
The baby is due at the end of September and so far they have only told family, close pals and Wayne’s bosses at Manchester United.
A friend of the couple – who are jointly worth £30million – said: “Coleen and Wayne couldn’t be happier.
“Their families are the biggest thing in their lives and Wayne has always said he wants at least three or four children.
“Coleen has always maintained she wants a family when the time is right.
“They don’t know whether it’s a boy or girl yet… they don’t mind either way.”
Friends point out that Coleen has been “lying low” for the last few weeks, saying she has a cold.
In recent weeks she has left a series of tantalising clues as to her condition.
In her February diary for a magazine she gave advice to a women who was three months pregnant.
She wrote: “Make the most of being small now as you’re only going to get bigger.”
And twice this month she praised TV presenters Holly Willoughby and Tess Daly’s maternity wear, saying: “It must be so hard to find stylish dresses every week.”
Pictures of Coleen at a Lionel Richie gig in Manchester nine days ago show her wearing a loose satin top.
Since then she was snapped emerging from a restaurant in Liverpool covering her tummy with a black pashmina and handbag.
After finishing filming on her TV show Coleen’s Real Women in January she has been out of the public eye.
She immediately flew to Barbados with her family for a holiday, complaining how much she missed Wayne, 23, who was being treated for an injury.
And her usually-hectic diary has increasingly consisted of “lazy weeks” in front of the sofa.
The new arrival will want for nothing. Baby Rooney will have a specially-converted nursery in the couple’s £3.5million mansion in Prestbury, Cheshire, which has a cinema, gym and £30,000 of security.
Coleen is the eldest of four children to brickie dad Tony and nursery nurse mum Colette. Wayne is the eldest of three.
The first picture of their new baby could sell for £1million – a UK record, even eclipsing that paid for photos of Posh and Becks’ baby Brooklyn.
Wayne and Coleen’s spokesman said last night: “These pregnancy rumours have been too numerous to comment on and we gave up doing so a long time ago.”
Congratulations to them both :cheer:
