INT. IQBAL AND MARCUS' FLAT - DAY

The house phone rings, the flat is empty.

Sanjita and Ruby come trough the front door, having been shopping.

Sanjita: I'll get it...

Sanjita turns off the burgular alarm then heads to the phone.

Sanjita: Hello?

Ruby looks on as Sanjita speaks on the phone.

Sanjita: Yes...ok... I'll be there...

Sanjita puts the phone down, looking suddenly worried.

Ruby: Mom...what is it?

Sanjita: It was the doctors, they said my results have come back...I've got to go and fetch them tomorrow...

INT. BACHELOR BOYS HOUSE - DAY

Tom: I want an explanation now Luqina!...and it better be good!

Luqina takes a nervous gulp...

Tom: Well!? Cat got your tounge all of a sudden!? You seemed to be talking quiet openly to this Sergio, whoever the hell he was...

Luqina: Tom... I'm so sorry... I didn't mean for this to happen...

Tom: No, you're just sorry that the truth came out! So you're not denying this happened then!?

Luqina: He promised me a career Tom... he said he'd make me the next top supermodel...

Tom: Oh, and that's meant to make it all okay is it!?

Luqina: Tom...

Tom: Like he actually meant it... he saw you and thought of the perfect oppurtunity to make some money and get a bit of knookie on the side! You're not the first and probably not the last... your so bloody gullable!

Chris seems uncomfortable hearing the confrontation.

Chris: Look...erm...I'm just gonna go get a newspaper...

Tom and Luqina look at Chris, annoyed at his choice of words.

Chris: Erm... some beer then...

Chris leaves. Tom sits down in disbeleif.

Tom: When it comes down to it... you just lie you way around anything don't you... you cheat people, use your sex...

Luqina: Tom... that's not true!

Tom: Yes it is! It's so obvious now... christ how could I have been such a fool for all this time eh!? Good old gullable Tom! To think I believed you over Romeo! You've conned me good and proper!

Luqina: I never wanted me and Sergio to be an item...I was just going to do it the once! To get my career...to do the best for me and you!

Tom: Sleeping with another man is not the way to go about it!

Luqina: Look, I know I've been foolish but please...just give me one more chance!

Tom gets up and stares her in the face, looking at her with disgust.

Tom: I could do the over the top dramatics, throwing you out kicking and screaming, telling you how much you've hurt me...but do you know what? You're not worth the effort...

Luqina starts to cry, practically on her knees in front of Tom.

Luqina: Tom...please...I'm begging you...

Tom: I'm going out, when I get back I want to see you gone...for good...

Luqina: Where am I going to go...I have nowhere...noone!

Tom: It's not my problem, you should have thought of that before you slept with that bloke... goodbye Luqina... hope you get what you want in life...

Luqina: But it's you I want Tom! A future with you!

Tom: Bye...

Tom leaves the house, holding back the tears. He closes the door. Luqina is on the floor on her knees, in tears. Her eyes move over to the locked cabinet...

Lets hope Tom means it. How does she think shes going to cash that cheque though if she gets into the cabinet - isn't it made out to Tom??

So Tom has finally found out what Luqina really is...i am so relieved!! :cheer: I hope Sanjita's test results come back ok.

EXT: RED RUM PUB- Day

Luqina walks past the pub, clutching a bottle of Vodka. She stops, and sits on a wall, sipping from the bottle. Val walks out the pub, and gives her an evil look. She walks on by, then turns and storms over to Luqina...

Val: You know what? This has to be the best thing that Tom has ever done. Finally got some sense and seen what a munipulative bitch you are!

Luqina: Leave it out, Val!

Val: Want to drink yourself into an early grave? You're right, thats a good idea, for all of us!

Val storms off, satisfied about what has happened. Romeo walks along the street, past Luqina...

Romeo: Has Queen Bee been found out?! What a shame... i'm just so... heartbroken :rolleyes:

He walks off. Luqina sobs into her hands. She wipes her eyes, and staggers to the bus stop, crying her heart out

EXT: BREAST CLINC- Day

Val walks up to the gates of the clinc, and reads the sign. She looks at the building, and sighs deeply. She walks up the to door...

INTERCUT-

INT: BREAST CLINC- Day

Val walks tentively into the examination room

Nurse: Mrs. Andrews, before we carry out the examination, would you fill in this short questionaire for me? Its about your family history etc. Thanks.

The Nurse walks over to the curtain, and disappears. Val looks down the form, a few stick out...

Is there a family history of breast cancer in your family?
Are you on any medication?

She begins to fill it in, when the Nurse reappears, and sits down at the desk.

Nurse: Thanks for filling that in for me...

Val: So it really is Cancer then?!

Nurse: Thats what we're going to find out for you, sweetie. I'm going to do a triple assessment of you today...

Val: What does that mean?!

Nurse: A Mamogram firstly, which is similar to an X Ray. We'll do this at different angles, to get a greater picture...

Val: (Jokingly) Of these old things?! What would you want that for?!

Val forces a laugh, and sighs deeply...

Nurse: I'll then take a sample of your tissue, and send this off to the lab, to find out if theres any abnoralaities with this.

Val: So thats what... a needle?

Nurse: Yes. I'll use a small needle first of all, then use a local anesthetic on the breast, and use a larger needle. A Fine Needle Aispiration Cytology and a Core Biopsy.

Val: Ok...

Nurse: Have you got any questions, before we start?

Val: Why has this happened to me?!

The Nurse gives Val a comforting smile..

Nurse: I can understand how you feel. If you would go behind the curtain and remove your top, then we'll get this over and done with, so you know for certain, yeah?

Val nods, and walks to te curtain, terrified

INT: DOCTORS SURGERY- Day

Iqbal and Sanjita walk into the Surgery, and sit down opposite the Doctor...

Sanjita: I can't stand this any longer...

Doctor: I've received the results from your examinations. Are you sure you dont want to know in ... private?

The Doctor indicates to Iqbal..

Sanjita: No. Whatever it is, you tell us both.

The Doctor opens a file, and flicks through the papers..

Sanjita: Is it AIDS? Please... tell me its not AIDS...

Doctor: Its not AIDS. Or HIV.

Sanjita breathes a sigh of releif, and looks at Iqbal positively..

Sanjita: So i'm in the all clear?!

Doctor: In a way. You've not got any STIs, Sanjita. But... you're pregnant

Sanjita looks at the Doctor in shock, her eyes welling up with tears...

Sanjita: Oh my God...

The Doctor turns around, picks up a "Termination" leaflet, and gives it to Sanjita

Doctor: Its fairly common for rape victims...

Sanjita sobs into Iqbals shoulder...

Doctor: I realise this is a shock to you... i'm sorry...

Iqbal: Erm... thank you..

Iqbal helps Sanjita out of the office...

Oh my gosh! Sanjita is pregnant! :eek: Poor Val! :(

Nice one Val and Romeo - give Luquina some jip, though I hope this is the last we've seen of her, but I can see her exit being slightly more explosive than just leaving on a bus....:hmm:

Oh poor Val!! Why did she do this alone again?! Why did she not take Amy with her....

I was wondering that Siobhan - could it be a case of who's the daddy as it could be Iqbal's.... What a decision to have to make though..

I for one would like to give a great cheer to Abi's scene treating Val's breast cancer, that really was one of the best written scenes this year for DS :clap: :bow:

INT. BACHELOR BOYS HOUSE - DAY

Tom is sitting alone, devastated. Chris is unsure of how to react around his friend.

Chris: Do you want a beer or something?

Tom: I've lost the love of my life, what use will a can of beer do?

Chris: I'm only trying to help...

Tom: Yeah, sorry mate...it's just...you know...

There is a knock at the door. Chris goes to open it.

Chris: Romeo... I don't think it's the right time to be speaking to Tom...

Romeo: Don't worry, I've just come to collect the rest of my stuff...

Tom gets up and sees Romeo standing in the hallway.

Tom: Romeo...

Romeo: Look I don't want to start an argument, just let me get my things then I'll be out of here...

Tom: Look I want to aplogise, for how I've been with you since you got back, I should never have been such a fool and believed her...Can we forget all that's happened...start afresh?

Romeo: (Unsure) Erm...I don't think so...it's too late for that Tom... my trust has been betrayed...you didn't believe me... and a friendship without trust isn't a friendship at all...

Tom's heart sinks as Romeo delivers these words to him.

EXT: DOCTORS SURGERY- Day

Sanjita and Iqbal walk out of the doctor's surgery and towards the car park, having just learnt that Sanjita is pregnant as a result of the rape.

Iqbal: How are you feeling?

Sanjita: How do you think?

Iqbal: Ok...stupid question :rolleyes:

Sanjita: I'm sorry...but you know... I don't even know how I'm feeling at the moment...shock mainly...

Iqbal: No one is going to think any less of you if you have an abortion you know...

Sanjita: An abortion!?

Iqbal: Well it's the common option for ra... for well you know...

Sanjita: I'm not having an abortion, it could be yours just as much as it's... his

Iqbal: Yeah but it could be that scumbags, could you live with that?

Sanjita: I'll have to...but I wouldn't be able to live with having an abortion...it's not fair on the baby... we just have to do the best for it...

Iqbal: I suppose so...

Sanjita: Are you ok with this?

Sanjita gets into the passenger seat. Iqbal walks towards the drivers seat, an unhappy look on his face.

Keep supporting her Iqbal, its gonna be hard, but this baby could be yours!

Totally understand where Romeo is coming from - Tom didn't want to know when Romeo wanted to show him what she was like...lets hope they can patch things up again in the future though - like the saying goes...love is blind.

INT: BACHELORS HOUSE- Day

Chris feels uneasy, and slightly guilty. He walks into the kitchen to get another beer, leaving Romeo and Tom alone.

Romeo: You've seen sense, i'm glad about that. She could've taken you for everything you've got, but she hasn't. Finally, you opened your goddam eyes!

Tom: Can't we draw a line under this then?!

Romeo: Like i said, that isn't going to happen. I'm glad you left her, but thats all. Things have happened that you can't take back. Just be glad that shes out of your life, and didn't take a single penny.

Tom has a look of realisation across his face...

Tom: Oh my God...

Romeo: What?!

Tom looks in the sidedraw, and slams it shut...

Tom: She has... shes taken it...

Romeo: Taken what?! Spit it out!

Tom: I had a cheque... well, we had a cheque. It was meant to go into my account, but i just thought... what with the marriage that never was... i thought it would make a nice start for us when we did get married. So i got it written out into our joint account...

Romeo: How much are we talking here?!

Tom: A lot, beleive me.... a lot...

What a cow! can't believe she took him for everything

Iqbal, support Sanjita as much as you can, she needs you more than ever. Surely now with the baby if it is not Iqbal, they have DNA to find the rapist

INT. EXETER AIRPORT - NIGHT

Amy Winehouse's Rehab is played as we see close ups of a woman walking trough an airport, carrying a large sports bag as hand luggage.

Close ups of her designer sunglasses, expensive earrings and bright red lips. She grins. She takes off her sunglasses, it is Luqina.

Danilo, her "ex" husband is standing in the depatures lounge.

Danilo: Have you got it?

Luqina: Every penny...

She unzips one of her bags and shows a bag wedged with £100 notes.

Danilo: How did you get it so fast?

Luqina: I have my ways...:p Look all that matters is that I've done what I promised you... I always told you I'd get us a small fortune off that man...

An anouncemnt for people to board the flight to Portugal can be heard.

Danilo: Here's to us...my beautiful clever wife

The pair kiss each other, and head off with grins on their face. In the background Tom and Chris are running towards them.

Tom: Luqina! Give me back my money you robbing bitch!

Behind them security guards grab them.

Chris: Security! Stop that woman she's a theif!

Security: And you haven't paid for a ticket, now get out!

As Tom and Chris are escorted away they look at Luqina with utter disgust. She smiles and blows them a seductive kiss, before walking away with the money.

THE BITCH BOWS OUT - THE END OF AN ERA

EXT. BAYMOORE BINGO HALL - DAY

Nick walks up to the bingo hall and puts up an anouncement.

THIS BINGO HALL WILL BE CLOSLEY PERMANATLY AT THE END OF THE YEAR FOR NEW VENTURES, REGARDS THE MANAGEMENT

Val walks by reading to go to work.

Val: Nick! How are you!?

Nick clearly doesnt want to have an argument with Val over the poster.

Nick: Erm...I'm not too bad thanks Val...look I've got a lot on so I need to shoot...

Val: What's that you've put up?

Nick: Oh nothing...

Val: Doesn't look like nothing...come on what are you hiding? :p

Val pushes past him to look at the anouncement.

Val: What the hell is this all about!?

Nick is about to speak but Richard pulls up in his car and gets out to speak to Val.

Nick: Erm...

Richard: As the notice says Val, the bingo hall is closing down...

Val: And you never thought of telling me!?

Richard: We were going to this afternoon...

Val: Why are you closing it? It's always busy...you can't just... get rid of it!

Richard: I'm sorry Val but we need to cut our losses... start up a new venture...

Val: But...but I'll loose my job!

Richard: I'm sorry Val, but it can't be helped...

Val storms past them both.

Val: Wait until everyone finds out about this! They'll let you close this down over their dead bodies!

Val storms off in a mood.

:eek::eek: Oh my god.. never saw that coming. So was the whole Sergio thing a fake setup by both of them for tom to kick her out?

EXT. CAFE ROUGE (TORQUAY) - EVENING

Sergio is sitting at a table outside, looking out onto the Torquay beach. He is reading the newspaper about him and Luqina, he has a grin on his face. Someone sits down opposite him.

Sergio: Job well done then eh?

The camera cuts to reveal Romeo, who has a grin on his face.

Romeo: Certainly... I owe you one mate...

Sergio: Any time, we both won...I get 100k and you get that bitch out of your mate's life...

Romeo: She may be gone, but she had the last laugh...

Sergio: How do you mean?

Romeo: She robbed Tom before she left... rotten timing...

Sergio: What can I say mate, you win some, you loose some... at least she's out of his life...anyway I have things to be doing, model to be bedding :D

The pair shakes hands and say their goodbyes. Sergio leaves. Romeo picks up the paper, thats turned to the Luqina/Sergio article. He gets up and throws it in the bin.

Romeo: In with the rubbish, where you belong...so long bitch...

Romeo heads off. The camera pans in to the smiling face of Luqina.

hohoho!! this gets better. So it was Romeo.. poor tom, no girl no money.. Emma get in there now

Wow! Luqina's exit was absolutely fab!! Loved Romeo's line at the end of that last scene! Shame she nicked Tom's money but atleast she is out of his life!

EXT: BAYMOORE BINGO HALL

Val pulls up outside the Bingo Hall with Plackards. She joins a group of women from the town...

Val: Right, here they are..

Amy: Good job, Val! Can't beleive they think they can shut this place down, and leave you out on the street without a job!

Val: They just care about money, and nothing else. Though, not my money it seems, just their own! :rolleyes:

Sanjita walks over, in a world of her own...

Val: Good to see you, Sanj...

Sanjita: Whats it for again?!

Val: My job! This place!

Sanjita sighs, thinking about other things, and reluctantly joins Val and the others...

:eek: Romeo set it up!!! But then she did fall for it, so good on ya mate!!!

EXT. BINGO HALL - DAY

Val, Sanjita, Amy, Vicky, Mandy, Annie, Josie and many others are standing outside the Bingo Hall holding up plackards.

All: (Chant) Save our bingo hall! Save our bingo hall! Save our bingo hall!

Richard drives up to the crowd, as he gets out of the car they all begin to surround him, continuing their chanting.

Richard: Ladies! Ladies please! Will you just calm down!

Val: It's not just a local service your getting rid of! It's people's livliehoods!

Richard: If we want to close it down that's our choice, your mini protest isn't going to change anything!

Annie: This is not on! You can't just take away our bingo hall! It's been here for years!

Richard: Which is why I'm sad to see it go...but it has to go...if Baymoore is to survive...

Mandy: Survive!? By closing down local ammenities!?

Richard: No! By improving local services! I want to build a lesuire complex on this site...

Annie: What's one of those when they are at home?

Richard: A pool, a spa, a gym, a beauty salon, a restaraunt, think of the buisness it will attract and the jobs it will create! Surely that will compensate for a small bingo hall and a couple of bingo callers?

Val: Yeah but us bingo callers have been loyal to you, I don't deserve to be sacked like this!

Richard: And you can have a job Val... as the manager of the beauty salon...

Val: Really...well...I don't know what to say! Thanks! :D

Annie: You might be able to make up for Val's job loss, but what about our loss? Our bingo hall!?

Richard: Like it or not ladies the bingo hall is no more, and you're all just going to have to get used to that...

Richard begins to head back to his car, but he catches a glimpse of Jared Ashworth, whose car is parked behind Richard's. He stares at the mini rebellion with a devious smile....

EXT. BINGO HALL - DAY

Richard storms over to Jared, looking annoyed.

Richard: What are you looking so smug about?

Jared: Oh nothing...it just seems that everything is going against you at the moment...

Jared pushes past Richard and towards the group of protesting women.

Jared: Ladies! Ladies! Could I have your attention for a moment...

Annie: I suppose you're a friend of Richards? :rolleyes:

Jared: Heaven forbid! I would just like to tell you all that I'm building a new holiday complex just outside of Baymoore and I'm delighted to announce it will include a luxury bingo hall...

The women sound impressed.

Jared: So there's no need for this protest, as soon as it's open I will put an ad in the paper...good day to you all ladies...

Jared walks back towards his car, Richard storms after him in protest.

Richard: Oh have very noble of you! You had no attentions of building a bingo hall until just now!

Jared: Well there appears to be a demand since the evil Mr Taylor deprived these women of a spot of Bingo... you just can't seem to win anymore can you Richard?

Richard: Why do you persist on ruining me Jared!?

Jared: Becuase I can... look it's all about giving the punters what they want... I admire your attempts at challenging me... but you should prepare yourself for a fall... you WILL loose...

Jared get's into his car and speeds off. Richard is fuming.

Richard: We will see about that! :angry:

EXT. BAYMOORE BEACH - DAY

Tom is sitting on the beach, on lifeguard duty, looking clealry depressed. Emma walks up to him and sits down beside him.

Emma: Hiya Tom, got a smile for me?

Tom: I haven't even got a smile for myself at the moment...

Emma: It's best to think positive Tom, at least she's out of your life now...

Tom: I know, and that's what's hurting me...the money doesn't matter so much...but I've lost her...the love of my life...

This comment hits Emma in the heart.

Emma: She didn't deserve your love...

There is an awkard silence between the pair.

Emma: You know we are all here for you, Chris, Romeo, me...

Tom: Thanks...it's nice to know some people care...

Emma: I erm...don't suppose you wont to go out for a drink some time?

Tom: Not at the moment...I need time to get over everything...

Emma: Ok :) I'll leave you alone then... you know where I am if you need me...

Emma gets up and leaves Tom alone. He stares into space, ignoring everything that is around him. There is a muffled shouting from Marcus.

Marcus: Tom! Tom! Tom!

Tom shakes out of his daze and stares at Marcus, unaware of what the panic is.

Marcus: Tom! Quick! Someone's drowning!

INT. MANSFIELD'S HOUSE - NIGHT

Vicky has just opened to door to Kyle, who is brining Daniel back after a day out.

Daniel: Hi mom!

Vicky: Hey big man! Had a good day!?

Daniel: Yeah it was cool!

Kyle: Go in and see your gran Dan, I need a quick word with your mom.

Daniel runs off into the living room. Vicky is clearly not impressed at having to speak to Kyle.

Kyle: It'll only take a minute Vicks...

Vicky closes the door and leads him into the Kitchen.

Vicky: Well what is it then?

Kyle hands Vicky a couple of leaflets.

Vicky: Well what are all these about?

Kyle: They're about paternity tests...

Vicky throws them into the bin.

Vicky: No way...

Kyle: Whether you like it or not Vicky I want one taken before the baby is born... I have a right!

Vicky: Well you can stick your rights up your ****!

Kyle: (Tuts) I was hoping we could do this amicably...but if not, then it's going to be a very unpleasant nine months for all of us...

Kyle leaves, with Vicky dwelling on what he has just said.

EXT. BAYMOORE BEACH - DAY

Marcus: Tom! Quick! Someone's drowning!

Tom gets up and runs towards the sea where a girl is drowning. He dives into the sea and begins swimming, as the girl screams for help.

Tom looks around in a panic and cant see her anywhere, he dives underwear and sees the girl floating just below the surface. He picks her up and comes up for air.

Tom coughs and splutters and gasps for air. The girl is not breathing, he shakes her but she does not respond. He panics and begins to swim back to the beach.

An ambulance pulls up and the parademics run down towards the beach where the girl is on the floor. Tom is trying to give her CPR. Her father is looking on, scared and angery.

Father: Why the hell wasn't you watching her eh!? Why wasn't you doing your job!?

Tom: I'm sorry...I'm sorry...

The paradeics continue the CPR on the girl.

Father: If she dies then I swear to god I will kill you!

Tom has a look of concern, for both the girl, his job and his life...

INT: MANSFIELD HOUSE

Vicky and Nick are cooking Dinner. Nick isn't talking, and just walking around Vicky..

Vicky: Whats wrong hun? You're being very quiet tonight...?

Nick: Nothing...

Vicky: Come on, dont be like that. Talk to me..

Nick: Its just... nah, forget it...

Vicky: Is it the baby, Nick?

Nick: I just thought we'd left Kyle behind us, but whenever i turn around, he's there, after us...

Vicky: I'm not going to let him get involved, you know that. And he'll get the message soon enough, he's got common sense, even if he is an arsehole.

Nick: But if he's the father... he's got to be involved. And then i'm going to have to remember... what happened, for the rest of my life... How will i be able to move on then?!

Vicky: Well, what can i do?! You told me to keep the baby!

Nick: Yeah, well, maybe that was the wrong thing to do...

I thought you couldn't get a DNA test safely until the baby is born:searchme: so how are they gonna find out who the father is until after junior arrives?! :searchme: Could be wrong, but thats what I thought - nothing conclusive till after baby arrives.

Hope the girl doesn't drown - Tom shouldn't have been at work if his mind wasn't fully on the job, although the father of the girl could have been watching his daughter aswell - if I take any of mine swimming, I'd get to them before anyone else would!

As far as I know Em, you can get a DNA test done during pregnancy. that is what Tiffany done in EE to find if the baby was Grants or tony's. You can get tissue samples from the womb.

Again, the Father should have been watching his child. I don't let my kids out of sight for 2 seconds when I go to the beach

Yes so that is why a lot of people wait until the baby is born. I think this is also how they test for Downs.. taken tissue samples from the unborn child, hence a lot of women won't do that test.. not so sure on that thou

I hope the girl doesn't drown! :eek: Poor Tom, he shouldn't have been at work if he is struggling to get over Luqina.

INT. TORBAY HOSPITAL - NIGHT

Tom enters the hospital, holding a teddy bear and a large bar of chocolate. He looks into the ward and can't see the girl anywhere.

All of a sudden the father appears and pushes Tom against a wall, the teddy and chocolate fall to the floor, Tom is left gasping for breath.

Father: You killed her you *******!

Tom: What!?

Father: My little girl is dead! And it's all your fault! You killed her!

Tom: (Stunned) I'm...so...sorry....

Father: Too damn right you're sorry! So sorry you ever lived! Because by the time I'm done with you your life wont be worth living!

Chris enters the hospital, having parked the car. He sees Tom in trouble, and grapples with the man to get off Tom.

Chirs: Lay off him will you!?

Father: My daughter is dead becuase that idiot couldn't do his job properly!

Chris: Well maybe you should have kept an eye on her in the first place!

Father: How dare you make out it's my fault! It's his job to make sure everyone is safe on that beach! Not mine!

Tom: I'm so sorry...

Father: I'm gonna make you pay for this you murdering scumbag! You're gonna loose you job and every penny to your name!

The father storms out of the hospital, leaving Chris with a stunned and emotional Tom.

INT. RED RUM PUBLIC HOUSE - NIGHT

Nick is sitting alone at the bar, having drunk a few pints to drown his sorrows.

Nick: Another one in there when you're ready Patrick...

Nick doesnt hear a response, he looks up and sees Amy standing behind the bar, arms folded looking at him with a look of disaproval on her face.

Nick: Amy :rolleyes: ...

Amy: Drowning your sorrows...you seem to be doing that a lot recently...

Nick: Since when have my drinking habits been any bloody concern of yours!?

Amy: When it effects my best friend it has everything to do with me...come on what have you two fallen out over now?

Nick: I'll give you a clue, it's not even born yet...

Amy: Look Nick I can't help what's happened...nor can Vicky...it's how you both go about dealing with it that's the main thing...

Nick: Oh Please Amy, spare me the lecture...

Amy: You need to sort out your act or you WILL loose her, the woman you love...

Nick: Really?

Amy: Yes really...look everyone makes mistakes and you have decided to forgive her... so snap out of this and support her...
