40th Anniversary Storyline

Emmerdale has released a special trailer to promote its 40th anniversary week next month.

To be screened on ITV1 from now until October 15, the preview features the soap's popular characters lined up on the stormy Dales.

Major characters featured include a smug-faced Cain Dingle and couple Jai and Charity Sharma.

Chas Dingle and Dan Spencer stand alongside Debbie Dingle and Cameron Murray, while "evil" Carl King stands forlorn.

Finally, Declan Macey and Katie Sugden are seen kissing to the disgust of Declan's half-sister Megan.

Emmerdale's birthday week will also feature an hour-long live episode, for which both a birth and a death have been confirmed.

I think it IS adam. Only one to comment on character leaving trying to throw folk off scent. Also he has to have a comeuppance because of the blame that Aaron took for what Adam tried to do to Cain. I think it all fits quite nicely. Also remember reading ages ago that the Bartons were supposed to be going - all of them - with possible exception of Moira. Again - this would fit nicely. So for me - it's Adam or Carl.

BTW I love that trailer. The confetti explosions are a novel idea.

I dont want it to be Cain or Carl or even Zak or Ashley (I know Zak and Ashley are not hunks but outside bets as well I think it could be)

Maybe our definition of what is a hunk is different from theirs: ie Maybe, in their deluded minds, they consider Robbie to be "hunk material" in which case Robbie would be in the frame for death.

The actor that plays him - he'd be moved a lot!!!

The should crash a plane on the Dales again get rid of quite a few :p
