The X Factor star has laid down about 20 tracks for her follow-up to 2007's Spirit, due later this year.
"I'm really, really positive about it. This far in, I'm feeling it even more [than last time]," she told DS.
Lewis also confirmed that she has been working with Justin Timberlake on several tracks for the as-yet-untitled record.
"He's so awesomely talented. He's been producing and he's got vocals on some my tracks too," she said.
Leona 'planning massive two-year tour'
Leona Lewis has revealed plans for a massive world tour after releasing her second studio album.
The star confirmed that she will kick off a series of live dates next year and expects to tour well into the following year.
"I'll be touring in 2010 and through to the year after. I just can't wait," she told the Daily Star.
The 24-year-old added that the direction of her second album will perfectly complement her live shows.
"The music has a different feel this time. It’s more of a live, heavier sound with a lot of real instruments. It's something that I'll be able to perform live," she said.
Leona Lewis is 'Echo'-ing back
Simon Cowell protégée Leona Lewis has decided on a title and release date for her new album. Echo, the follow-up to Lewis' platinum-plus 2008 debut, Spirit, is due Nov. 17.
"An echo describes a big, organic sound," Lewis says of her choice.
Lewis is recording in various cities, including New York and Los Angeles. Though one track called Don't Let Me Down has leaked online, neither the lineup of songs nor the list of contributors has been finalized. "I'm working with incredible songwriters and producers, and my music has really evolved," Lewis says.
Ryan Tedder, who co-wrote and produced Lewis' chart-topping breakthrough hit, Bleeding Love, is one confirmed collaborator, and a number of top artists have joined her in the studio, including Justin Timberlake, Ne-Yo and producer Timbaland.
