2481: Justin comes to blows with Matt

Hannah's thrilled when Matt turns up at The Dog full of his usual charm. Still fancying the pants off him, she's delighted when he tells her he's doing a uni tour with one of the bands he's producing and asks her to join him in the SU bar. Justin, meanwhile, isn't completely happy with his relationship with Leila and can't help feeling a pang of jealousy when he sees Hannah walking into the bar with Matt. When he later sees Matt embracing another girl, his hatred for the two-timing love rat grows.
Not wanting to see Hannah get hurt, Justin tries to warn her against him but she can't help wondering why he's being so protective. There's a moment between them but Justin realises he's said too much. Matt continues to wind up Justin and a fight soon breaks out between them. Ash comes to Hannah's rescue when she gets hit by Matt in the melee and Leila's left wondering why Justin's so interested in Hannah?
Zak and Michaela only have eyes for each other but are still keeping their romance under wraps. Archie's onto them and Zak's forced to admit their relationship, but insists it's just casual and he can take it or leave it. Meanwhile, Michaela's on cloud nine and is enjoying being the centre of attention as Sasha tries to guess who's putting a smile on her face. But Michaela doesn't want to curse her relationship when it's going so well, especially as she's yet to tell him how she really feels.
After watching Cool Hand Luke, Archie challenges Zak to the pickled egg eating contest. The boys struggle to keep the eggs down but they're determined not to give in and let the other win. Michaela can't bear to be away from Zak and decides to introduce Sasha to her new boyfriend. Sasha can't believe it's Zak and is disgusted when he's almightily sick on her new shoes. Michaela's left crushed when Zak denies all knowledge of anything good between them in front of his friends.
Russ' day doesn't get off to a good start when he's late for work and walks straight into the head. Gov's not impressed and gives him a warning which makes him re-think his teaching style. Gaz taunts Theresa in class and Russ is none the wiser when he gives them both detention for causing a stir.
With his new-found teaching vigour, Russ tries to set Gaz on the right path, but he's unaware of the misery he's causing Theresa right under his nose. As he ends the detention and Gaz legs it out, Theresa's angry for what Russ has put her through. Russ' confidence is knocked when Theresa flees the room in tears after an angry outburst towards him.
2482: Zak tells Michaela that he loves her

Zak and Michaela regret their outbursts towards each other yesterday but try to act as if they're not bothered. But it's quite clear they are, as Sasha and Elliot have to listen to them both going on about each other. After talking to Elliot, Zak makes the first move but Michaela's not willing to forgive and forget so quickly and walks away. Sasha's forced to endure Michaela talking about Zak until she talks herself into meeting him in Il Gnosh.
Things don't quite go to plan, though, when she accuses him of insulting her family and storms out. Unable to cope with Michaela's self-pity, Sasha forces her to meet Zak in the SU bar and Michaela's delighted when Zak finally tells her that he loves her.
Russ is determined to be a good teacher and lead Gaz on the right path. When he catches Gaz passing an offensive note to Theresa in class, he keeps him behind and tries to get to the bottom of his behaviour. Russ is a little out of his depth but Gaz seems genuinely upset as he talks about his home life and Russ turns a blind eye, convinced he's got through to him. But as soon as they’re away from school, Gaz threatens Theresa and Anita and tells them they'd better start watching their backs.
The girls are scared but distract themselves with the gorgeous bag they've seen on the internet which they're ten pounds short for. When Ash refuses to let them work for him, Anita lands herself a job cleaning the toilets in the SU bar. Justin's oblivious to the effect he's having on her as he shows her what to do, but all Anita can do is gaze dreamily at him. Gaz overhears the girls talking about the money they've got to buy the bag and corners a terrified Anita, forcing her to hand it all over.
Justin's annoyed when Ash winds him up about what happened in the SU yesterday and makes him feel small. He feels protective towards Hannah and doesn't like the way Ash thinks she's fair game now Matt's out of the picture. Leila's feeling a little insecure about her relationship with Justin after watching him defend Hannah last night and over-reacts when she finds out he's got her little sister cleaning the toilets and she's covered in bleach.
Justin realises Leila's feeling a little neglected but he can't do right for doing wrong when he tries to make it up to her. Hannah's a little coy when she thanks Ash for helping her yesterday and invites him for a drink if he's ever in The Dog. Hannah's pleased when Ash turns up, not really expecting him to, and decides she's got nothing to lose as they flirt with each other.
2483: Zak's sister Hayley arrives in Hollyoaks

Anita's anxious when Russ pairs her up with Gaz in class, unaware that he'd mugged her yesterday. Gaz acts the picture of innocence but quietly continues with his racist attacks towards Anita. Russ is oblivious to what's going on but he's in trouble with the head once again when Gov passes and sees his daughter's upset. Russ collars Gaz and tries to understand why he's constantly getting himself in trouble but he's shocked when Gaz tells him his dad's ill and he's the sole carer.
Determined to turn Gaz's life around, Russ insists he's going to do what he can to help him. But as Russ persuades Gov to give Gaz a second chance and not exclude him from school, Gaz is torching Relish.
Michaela's on cloud nine after Zak told her he loved her but she's a little miffed that he didn't tell her it's his birthday and everyone's got him a present, except her. When she spots a bag in the village with a Liverpool shirt inside, she can't believe her luck, until a girl in a wheelchair thanks her for picking it up and tries to claim it back. Michaela's not willing to hand it over so easily and gets more than she bargained for when the girl grabs the bag back and throws a punch, sending Michaela sprawling to the floor.
Zak's shocked when his younger sister Hayley turns up in Hollyoaks and desperately tries to keep her hidden from his friends. But it's too late when Michaela and Hayley come face to face and Michaela realises the girl she had a run in with earlier is actually Zak's sister. Zak's torn between defending his sister and his girlfriend as the pair have a go at one another. However, Hayley's hurt when she realises Zak's denied ever having a sister - Zak's got some work to do to put things right between them.
Leila wants Justin to get on with her brother and organises a lunch date for him to meet Ash properly. She decides to make it a foursome and asks Ash to invite Hannah. He's only too pleased to oblige, even though he'd rather have Hannah to himself. Justin's not happy about having lunch with Ash but reluctantly agrees to keep Leila happy. Justin hadn't realised Hannah would be joining them and hates Ash for making him look stupid as he splashes his cash and acts like the perfect gentleman.
The atmosphere's tense during dinner as the topic of conversation turns to Gaz, the school bully. Reminded of how he used to be, Justin thinks Gaz should be given a chance but Ash doesn't agree and continues to put Justin down. As their argument escalates, Justin refuses to sit and listen anymore and exits in a huff, leaving a worried Leila behind.
Leila and Elliot volunteer to take over Kris' radio broadcast. Kris is suffering from man flu and feeling sorry for himself - if he doesn't feel better soon, he's going to have to cancel his show. Leila and Elliot offer to stand in for him and although he's a little wary at first, the show must go on, and he agrees. But Kris is horrified when he listens in and rushes down to the media lab to get them off the air!
2484: Zak catches Archie and Hayley in bed

Zak's shocked when Hayley announces she plans to stick around. He's spent so long pretending she doesn't exist that he's not sure he can deal with her being here. Hayley wants to get on with her life and get onto a course at HCC but she's upset when Zak tries to talk her out of it. Zak's frustrated and annoyed with himself for upsetting his sister and snaps at Michaela when she starts having a go at him, thinking Hayley's trying to turn him against her.
Hayley soon forgets about her run in with Zak when Archie chats her up in the SU Bar. But it's all too much for Zak when he finds Hayley and Archie in bed together. In a fit of rage, Zak drags Archie out of bed and attacks him.
Ash discovers Relish has been torched. He knows exactly who the culprit is but he's got no evidence. Hannah arrives and instantly cheers him up when she invites him for a drink. Sparks fly between them and any doubts Hannah had about Ash are gone when he apologises to Justin for his behaviour towards him yesterday. Hannah's completely taken by Ash and doesn't realise he's only apologised for her benefit - he couldn't care less what Justin thinks of him.
The more Ash talks, the more Hannah melts as he says all the right things. Leila's worried she hasn't been able to get in touch with Justin since Ash upset him yesterday and tries to track him down. Convinced he's no good for her, Justin's ready to end their relationship until Leila persuades him he deserves to be happy and he realises he can be with her.
Russ arrives at school to find his classroom has been trashed and tries to get a confession out of Gaz, but Gaz knows exactly how to sway Russ and protests his innocence. Russ relents but he's not so sure the head will be so easy to talk round. Gaz is excluded from school and Russ is devastated when he realises how gullible he's been in believing Gaz's lies.
Elliot's convinced he's seriously ill when he starts seeing strange colours around people. He goes to the doctors but returns in even more of a panic when they're unable to find anything wrong with him. He's that worried that he's booked in for an MRI scan next week. Leila can see he's anxious and talks through his symptoms with him but she's delighted when she realises he's not got a brain tumour – instead, he's seeing auras!
Elliot refuses to believe as it goes against any possible scientific explanation but Leila's buzzing with excitement as she tries to convince him they do exist and open his mind to new possibilities. A troubled Elliot uncharacteristically gets drunk as everything he believes in is challenged.
2485: Zak and Hayley discuss the past

Hayley refuses to be judged by her brother when he realises she's spent the night with Archie, but Zak's finding it hard to deal with the fact that his little sister doesn't need looking after any more. Hayley tries to sort things out between them but when Zak hurts her feelings, she packs her bags to leave Hollyoaks.
Michaela senses something has happened between them in the past and curiosity gets the better of her when she sees Hayley at the bus stop with her suitcase. She's shocked when Hayley reveals Zak abandoned her when she ended up in a wheelchair. Seeing a part of herself and her family in them, Michaela encourages them to sort things out.
The guilt eats away at Zak as he admits he has a problem with her disability and Hayley reveals the painful truth about how hard it was for her when he cut her out of his life. As they talk things through and make some way to resolving his past mistakes, Zak and Hayley head to the pub and re-live their care-free youth…
Russ struggles with the responsibility of being a teacher. He wishes he was still young and a student again but realises he has to grow up. After failing miserably in his attempts to connect with his class, Russ heads down to the SU bar to try and get some of his old life back.
Newt's sympathetic towards Russ when Lauren humiliates him in front of the class and he doesn't like her cavalier attitude to hurting people's feelings. Lauren doesn't see what the problem is and wonders why Newt seems so distant with her when they're back at their den…
Nancy and Hannah decide it's time to find Sarah a man. Sarah's getting sick of listening to her friends go on about how good their relationships are and the girls decide it's time to find her a man of her own. Sarah's not keen on the idea - claiming she doesn't need a man to make her happy - but the girls aren't going to let it drop and come up with a list of eligible lads from their courses.
The girls head to the SU bar on a mission but it turns out to be a complete waste of time as one by one, all the names are crossed off the list. When Archie turns up, it's very awkward between him and Sarah but it's obvious they both still fancy each other. Archie tries to make amends with Sarah and sends her a video message, hoping there's no hard feelings between them.
