Corkhill Closes In
FORMER Brookside star Dean Sullivan — who played badboy Jimmy Corkhill — wants to buy all the houses on the set and revive the soap.
Yesterday Dean revealed he was hoping to get a loan for £600,000 to buy the 13 houses at auction next week.
Dean, 53, said: “I have it on good authority that Brookside is coming back.”
The actor was also seen out to dinner with his some of his former co-stars, including screen wife Jackie (Sue Jenkins) and Sinbad actor Michael Sweeney.
A drop in viewers made Channel 4 pull the soap in 2003 after 21 years.

That would be great if it came off :cheer:

I wont hold out any hope. Without the backing of a tv channel it wouldn't get far. Doing online wouldn't really work.
-
As much as I would love to see Brookie back on. I don't know were Dean is going to get that kind of finaincial backing as many of the Brookie stars have been on the telly since the show ended.

they've left it too long now unfortunately.
no one even mentions it anymore :(
-
It's a shame because it was such a good soap.
-
sue jenkins would prob be interested in it though cos the royle family is not on the screens anymore and she is jimmy corkhills other half and you only need a few of the same faces and then some new faces
-
yeah but Sue Johnston is doing Waking the Dead as well as other dramas.
I think they have left it too long, but you never know.
