Toby decides to withdraw the allegation against Ben, in this visit to Casualty. In his naivety, Toby thinks this will make things better, but it doesn't. Ben, however, is furious. Later, at the staff party, he drunkenly insults his colleagues and makes a life-changing announcement.

On his way home Toby becomes trapped in a rowing boat, which starts to sink. Unable to release his foot, there is no one around to hear his cries for help.

Jessica, meanwhile, confesses to Sean about Adam and is relieved when he forgives her. However, she later discovers that forgiveness was the last thing on his mind and that he has hatched a plan to abduct their children.

The hit-and-run charges against Zoe are dropped, but she loses her new job, nonetheless. Ruth struggles to bond with her team-mates and looks into an opportunity in another department.



So... Toby travels home in a rowing boat, Sean convinces Jessica that he's okay that the baby might not be his & Zoe's storyline seems to be over already...:rolleyes:

Sean won't get away with abducting the children.
Even if he does, Adam will probably find out where they are and save them.
Either way, Adam & Jess are likely to get together :wub:

& what's the new job that Zoe has and then loses :searchme:

Also I was hoping this Toby and Ben storyline would be better.. like they get together or something.

Saturday 3rd January

Toby fights for his life in the river as memories flood back of past mistakes, as the medical drama continues. Jay, who is on a passing party boat, spots Toby in the water and dives in to try and save him.

Toby later comes round in hospital, where his father tells him not to throw away all his years of training. But Toby is adamant, and tells his dad he's gay.

Elsewhere, as a car heads towards a level crossing, the driver, David, realises the brakes don't work. Unable to stop, however, he throws himself from the car – causing an accident in the process.

Jordan, meanwhile, tells Toby he can't leave immediately as they are stretched to the limit. Where Toby struggles with the pressure, Ruth methodically deals with her patients one by one. Toby is put under more stress when the driver who caused the accident asks him to lie. His day goes from bad to worse when he misses a crucial scan and Jordan agrees he should leave immediately.

Katie, a little girl cut badly from the train crash, causes havoc and violently lashes out. Finally, Ruth turns to Toby and asks him not to leave because she needs his help. Toby succeeds where everyone else has failed, and gets the little girl to open up.

Ruth and Toby share a moment together at the end of the frenetic day – they have been through so much together. Ruth is sad to see him leave, but Toby encourages her to stick with it, and he tells her she's cut out to be a surgeon.

So, I'm guessing he does :(. But at least he doesnt die:cheer:
