Big Brother: Racism, bullying or fair play?

Having seen yesterdays shouting match between Shilpa and Jade do you think that Jades remarks are racist? Up to yesterday I thought it was plain bullying with undertones of xenophobia thrown in for good measure but now I definitely think that Jades remarks were said in a racist context.

I don't care if its reality television and 'the people knew what they were getting into', there is absolutely no excuse for bullying and racism. I saw Channel 4 BBBM (or BBLB?) last night where they had a psychologist say that Shilpa scored low on the manipulative personality test and then went on to hint that Shilpa was possibly the one who orchestrating it all! Pathetic attempt by Channel 4 to play the blame game.

What?? How can you blame Shipla for been bullied and having racist remarks thrown at her?? How can someone set themselves up to be bullied on purpose?? I don't get that at all

Initally, from reading all this, is was just bullying with racist remarks. Jade et al has no right to talk to anyone they way they talk to her.. it is a disgrace.

I don't think Jade has done her 'career' any favours. Looking at the tabloids it looks like she will be crucified when she comes out of the house. The irony: don't bite the hand that feeds you.

Unfortunately this is just more publicity for the Nonentity that is Jade Goody. Nothing can excuse her disgusting behaviour. Its time the plug was pulled on this rubbish programme

Jade is a bitch, before her entrance all was fine in there, shilpa was well liked. Jade is loudmouth, channel 4 knew her entrance would stir things up! They should do the decent thing and get her out now! But they havent, she is up for evicton and they know people in their hundreds will be voting her out, making lots of lovely dosh for themselves.

before last night i thought it was just female bitching, but after watching it in the news and again watching it back, i do think Shilpa is being picked on because of where se comes from!

It will be interesting to watch when jade is evicted, will jo and danielle be nice again to shilpa, how will it change!

Jade is now nothing, who is really going to want her working for then now!

When Jade was in the house the first time, everyone laughed at her stupidity but now she has shown her true colours that she is nasty bitch and I hope she get what she deserves when she come out of the house. I'm not a huge fan of Shilpa's either but the BB environment is totally different to what she is used to as she has servants to look after her when she is at home, so it's bound to be a culture shock. But she does not deserve the treatment that Jade and the others are given her. Jo and Danielle are not much better although their comments have not been as harsh they have sat there and smirked and they will probably do a U turn and be so nicey nicey to shilpa when Jade goes, personally the three of them should go on Friday and not give them anymore airtime. All three of them deserve to have their careers go down the pan they may realise that they cant get away with bullying someone intentionally or not just because they are a CELEBRITY. If there had not been all the drama that happened this week and Shilpa was put up for nomination I would have voted her out just because she is not one of my favourite housemates, but watching BB the last few nights Jade has to go. Let her go back to the scabby housing estate she came from and take her nerdy mother with her.

Kath, I agree it is a culture shock for Shipla.. but it was the same for David Gest in "I'm a celeb" and he wasn't attacked or bullied. I don't know which is worse Jade or the girls.. You know Jade will brush it off saying "oh I didn't realise that was racialism (or some equally stupid made up word)", playing the idiot but the other two girls should know better and stop her.. Are they afraid she will bully them? She can't bully them all and I am very disappointed with Jade.. I thought she was better than this after all the crap she got when she was in the house

I know it's like she has had a loss of memory on what happened to her when she was in there the first time or maybe she is planning to play dumb and say that she didn't remember saying things like Danielle did. We all know there is going to be confrontaion in the house at some point, there has to be. But if Jade and Shilpa had a blazing row and they threw bitchy comments at each other it would have been accepted as it probably blown over by now but since last Friday when Carole was evicted Jade and Danielle were arguing with Shilpa then and they haven't stopped. They should have been called to the diary room and told they were up for eviction for bullying. Get the three of them out, because if Jo and Danielle get away with playing any part in this and go on to win CBB then what kind of behaviour are we approving.

Yes that is what normally would or should happen but c4 don't think she is been bullied and they are saying "oh she hasn't said anything so it can't be that bad" plus they have 3 million increase in viewers so they are not going to evict them.. this is good for them but bad for the nation as a whole. India are not to pleased and feel that this is a representation of UK.. do you want Jade as your ambassador???

Hasn't Shilpa complained today that she feels she is under a racist attack?
