Connection
Hi,
I've been reading loads of the scripts on here and i really like them so I've been inspired to write my own. It's my first one so I appologise if it's no good!
It's about Sam and Phil from the Bill.
Chapter One
Phil miserably put down the phone. It was great to hear his little girl’s voice again but it broke his heart every time he had to say good bye to her. He wished he could see Madison more often but Christine and Maddy had moved away so he had to live with the odd phone conversation at the moment.
“Right guys can you gather round please.” DCI Meadows had just come in to brief them all for the day ahead. Phil would have to put Maddy to the back of his mind for now.
“Mickie and Zain, could you get you selves down to the Cole estate please. There have reports of a shooting but I’m afraid little else is known. PC Hunter and PC Valantine are down there at the moment taking statements.”
“Guv,” replied Zain and Mickie.
“Sam, Jo, we’ve just received a call from someone who lives in the Nashgrove estate. He’s worried as his wife didn’t come home last night. It’s probably nothing but I need you two to pop round and check it out anyway.”
Sam and Jo nodded, “Guv.”
“Right that’s it for now. Thanks everyone.” Jack returned to his office.
Great that means paper work for me then thought Phil glumly.
“Hey Sam,” he grabbed her arm just as she was heading out, “you and Jo need any help?”
“Don’t worry we’re fine,” she replied.
“Are you sure?” Phil pleaded; he’d do anything to get out of paperwork.
“Seriously Phil, the guy’s probably just being paranoid anyway. Bet his wife just stayed at a friends or something. Now you just sit here and have fun with all your paperwork.”
And with that she gave him a cheeky grin and left.
“Thanks!” Phil shouted after sarcastically.
I'll post the next chapter soon, any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Chapter Two
Sam and Jo arrived back at the station and headed up to CID. They’d spoken to the guy who’d phoned the station earlier, Mr Harrington, and the poor man still seemed really worried about his wife. Apparently she had never stayed away over night since they’d been together and they’d been married for 5 years. Sam and Jo had promised that they would do everything that they could to locate her.
As they walked into CID Sam couldn’t help but let out a small laugh as she spotted Phil slumped across his desk looking absolutely bored stiff. She couldn’t help but feel sorry for him, especially since she’d heard him on the phone to Maddison earlier and knew how sad it made him that he couldn’t spend more time with her, especially with Alfie gone as well.
“Sarg, Sarg you listening?”
“Yeah sorry Jo.”
“I was just saying that if it’s all right with you, I’ll go phone all of Lisa Harrington’s friends, from the phone book that her husband gave us. See if any of them know anything.”
“Sure that’s fine. Especially try and contact her friend Emma Mills as that’s who Mr Harrington said she was out with last night.”
“Will do, I’ll let you know if I find out anything,” replied Jo and she wondered off to her desk.
Sam walked over to Phil, who had barley moved, and perched herself on the corner of his desk.
“Alright?” she asked, even though she pretty much knew the answer.
“Never better,” he replied, the sarcasm in his voice obvious.
“Over heard you talking to Maddison earlier, how is she?” Sam asked.
“She’s great, sounds so much more grown up every time I speak to her.”
Sam gave him a sympathetic smile.
“Anyway...” said Phil trying to change the subject, “how was your morning?”
“Not bad, this guy seems really worried about his wife though.”
“She’ll probably turn up later absolutely fine.”
“Yeah, probably. Well now I’ve got the thrilling job of sifting through hours of CCTV footage to try and trace her whereabouts last night.”
Phil jumped up eagerly, “I’d be happy to lend you a hand if you want.”
“Alright,” agreed Sam, “it would be nice to have some company. But are you sure the DCI won’t mind?”
“I’ll just go clear it with him but I’m sure he’ll be fine about it as I have been doing this paper work all morning!”
“OK, I’ll see you in a minute,” said Sam.

Chapter Three
“So where’s the footage, that we’re actually looking at, from then?” asked Phil.
“Varsity night club,” replied Sam, “it’s where Mr Harrington believed his wife intended to go last night. Jo and I called round there this morning but no one remembers actually seeing her. However with so many faces in the club, there’s not much chance of that any way so the manager has given us all of their CCTV videos from last night.”
“How many cameras do they have?”
“6, one outside each of the toilets, one by the door, one by the cloakroom, one by the bar and another on the dance floor.”
“So this could well take a while then?”
Sam nodded, “you know you don’t have to help if you don’t want to,” she said, secretly hoping Phil would still want to stay as the job would go along a lot quicker if she had a friend to do it with.
“I’m staying, I said I’d help and I will,” he assured her, “anyway how could I deny you the pleasure of my company now when I’ve already got your hopes up by promising you.”
“Well there is that of course,” Sam said sarcastically with a smile.
They started to watch the videos. Phil was asking Sam for her opinion in his ideas for birthday presents for Maddy so the time went past fairly quickly.
Phil and Sam had been watching the footage for about an hour when there was a knock at the door.
“Come in,” said Sam.
“Sam, I’ve spoken to Lisa’s friend Emma Mills and she didn’t see Lisa at all last night,” Jo told her, “Apparently they never had any plans to meet up.”
“I wonder why she lied to her husband,” Sam wondered.
“Maybe she was meeting another guy,” Phil suggested.
“Yeah, maybe. Have you been able to get hold of any of her other friends, Jo,” Sam asked.
“I’m about half way through the address book. Nothing of any help so far,” Jo replied.
“Alright are you alright carrying on with that for now? Phil and I haven’t found anything from the CCTV footage yet but we’ll keep going.”
“Serg,” Jo nodded and headed out of the door.
“Sam, how about we pay a visit to Emma Mills. Even though she wasn’t with Lisa last night, she might still be able to suggest where Lisa may have gone,” Phil suggested.
“Alright, yeah, suppose she might know whether or not Lisa is having an affair,” Sam agreed, “we’ll have to see if there’s any uniform who might be able to continue looking at this footage. Although I think its probably unlikely she’ll be there anyway as she lied about who she was meeting so probably lied about the place as well.”
On their way outside, Sam and Phil passed PC’s Honey Harmen and Emma Keane and asked them to look at the CCTV videos for them.
i'm not sure when i'll be able to do the next chapter as its near the end of term so i have loads of uni work to do at the moment
