Shattered Dreams (Shannis One-Parter)
Hey guys, i was bored last night and i wrote this, urmmm its kinda different but i hope ya like it!
Very long one parter!

I turn over and I see Dennis lying there sleeping, he looks so peaceful. The sunlight from outside has crept through the hole where the curtains are supposed to join, the light highlights his gorgeous face.
I stroke his cheek, but he stays still, asleep, peaceful.
I silently slide out of bed, I keep looking at Dennis, and my eyes don’t leave him.
I walk into the kitchen and flick the kettle switch on; the sunlight is shining in this room too, I walk over to the window and pull open the curtains and light fills the room, I gaze out onto the square, it’s a gorgeous summers day.
I can see all the market traders setting up, Martin and Sonia having another tiff, Mo setting up shouting at Stacey who’s still nursing her hangover from last night and dawn who’s throwing herself at Jake. I chuckle to myself the Walford Life!
I then feel his hands on my shoulders, he kisses the top of my head and then wraps his arms around me and starts kissing my neck, I spin around to face him, we kiss, I then pull away
‘Dennis, I love you’
We kiss again
‘I always will, forever’
I go to kiss him again but Dennis pulls away and starts walking backwards.
‘Dennis? Where are you going?’
He keeps walking, still facing me.
‘Dennis, please’
There were tears in his eyes and I could feel mine welling up.
‘Please don’t leave’
A tear escapes and rolls down my cheek; I can hear something faintly in the background.
‘Dennis don’t leave me, you can’t, no don’t, please’
‘I’m sorry darling, I love you, forever’
I blink and he’s gone, I look around and he isn’t there, I shut my eyes hoping he’ll be there when I open them.
I open my eyes and I look around, I’m in the square gardens, I look down and he’s lying in my arms all red and sweaty, trying to breath.
‘Dennis, Dennis’
I move my hand away from his stomach and my hand is covered in blood,
‘Dennis, your bleeding, what’s going on?’
‘I, I, I, they, they, he, stabbed, been stab, bed’
He couldn’t talk properly, he couldn’t breath properly,
‘Sharon’
He lifted his hand and placed it gently on my stomach.
‘Look after mummy for me, ok mate’
He then looked up to me
‘Dennis, your going to look after me, and together me and you are going to look after this baby, our baby’
‘Babe, I, I, won’t ma…’
His eyes were welling up.
‘You will be fine,’
Tears fell down my cheek.
‘Don’t you dare say anything like that your gonna be fine.’
I run my hand through his hair, he shuts his eyes.
‘Dennis, Dennis’
I shake him.
‘Don’t you dare leave me, not now, Dennis please.’
I rest my head on his chest
‘Ple, please don’t leave me’
I look up, into his gorgeous green eyes.
‘Sharon, I love you and not, nothing is, is, will e, e ever change that.’
He closes his eyes again
‘Dennis I love you, Dennis please.’
He raises his hand and strokes my cheek, and wipes away a stray tear, I lean down and kiss him,
‘Forever’ I whisper,
‘Forever’
He kisses me again, I feel his arm tense up, he gasps for air then suddenly everything drops, his eyes shut, he stops breathing,
‘Dennis’
I kiss him on the head.
‘No, baby, come back to me please,’
I cuddle into his chest.
‘Don’t leave me please come back’
I can feel people’s presence behind me and I can hear whispering, and a baby crying.
‘I love you baby’ I say.
I wake up suddenly, and sit up in my bed, its dark, there is no light shining through.
‘Dennis’
I look to my side and no-ones there, I was dreaming again, I always seem to have that dream, its us all happy and then I remember that night, and the dream turns into a nightmare and i relive all those horrible memories. I stroke the bed where he should be lying, I’m crying again, I can’t help it, I try and stop but I can’t.
I can hear the baby crying. It seems to get louder and louder, pausing now and then for him to catch his breath.
I crawl down to the end of the bed where the cot is, I lean in and stroke his soft brown hair,
‘Its alright Dennis baby, mummy’s here’
I lean in and pull him out; I cuddle him and then hold him tight, close to my chest.
‘Shhhh, darling, mummy’s here, mummy’s here.’I lean down and gently kiss his head. I then rock him and place him back down into his cot; I stroke his soft hair again,
‘Mummy’s here Dennis, shhhhh and Daddy’s watching over you baby don’t worry’
I turn and look to the photo of him, of us, on the table.
I pick up the photo and kiss it,
‘Forever’ I whisper
I then place the photo in the cot with baby Dennis.
‘Forever’
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal
