Having turned Shelley into a quivering jelly of insecurities, Charlie turns his beady eye on Violet. And when Shelley overhears the pair getting on a little too well for her liking, she storms downstairs and sacks the pretty barmaid.

Charlie quickly springs to Violet’s defence and forces Shelley to make a humiliating public apology - but he soon begins to regret his actions when Shelley withdraws all bedroom favours.

Elsewhere, Twisted Tracy returns and proceeds to lead Steve a merry dance - welcoming his attentions one minute, refusing to let him see Amy the next.

Later, she tells Ken and Deirdre that she’s come back for one reason: to wreak revenge on the man who scorned her. Be afraid Steve... be very afraid.

Meanwhile, over at the Peacocks', Fred gets cold feet over his proposed boxing bout with rival butcher Marvin, and volunteers Ashley's services instead. After Marvin disrespects Claire, Ashley agrees to take up the challenge, but is less that impressed to discover that Fred has lined him up with a side of beef as a training partner.
