Airs on Monday, November 9 2009 at 20:00 GMT on BBC One
As Peggy pins up a 'Happy Hour' poster outside The Vic, she spots Archie watching her. Returning inside, Peggy asks Roxy if she's around for the brewery delivery. Roxy agrees to be in for the delivery, while Sam tries to pin up a banner. With that, a drenched Roxy runs down the stairs shouting for Ronnie as the kitchen pipes have burst. Peggy's unhappy that her happy hour can't go ahead, but Ronnie assures her otherwise. Owen walks by and claims that he's a qualified plumber but Ronnie dismisses his advances. Peggy, however, invites him inside to survey the mess. As he does, Ronnie hands him the tools and he questions her indifference towards him. Ronnie says that what he did to Libby is no secret and after she jokes about throwing him out, he admits that he's previously attempted to commit suicide.
Later, Roxy asks Owen to look at one of the beet pumps and when Denise walks in to talk about her wedding reception plans and sees him behind the bar, she questions his presence. Frustrated by Denise's attitude towards him, he angrily returns to the job at hand, splitting a beer pipe in the process. Upstairs, Ronnie sees a soaking Owen looking at a photo of Danielle in The Vic's living room. Handing Owen one of Phil's shirts, they head off to the kitchen where Ronnie quizzes Owen about his feelings for Denise, before asking him about his suicide bid. Talk then turns to Danielle, before Owen goes to leave. As he does, Ronnie takes his hand and says that she doesn't want to be alone. With that, the pair share a kiss, before heading to the bedroom.
Downstairs, Peggy's delighted with the happy hour turnout but she's rattled when she spots Archie and quickly tells him that he's not welcome. Later, Peggy goes through the receipts with Max for the insurance as she's desperate to know when they'll pay out. Peggy leaves Tracey in charge and heads over to see Archie. Pleased to see his wife, they share a kiss and head upstairs…

It's early morning and at Ronnie's request, Owen sneaks out of The Vic. Outside, Denise spots him and comments on how early he's up and about. Pat, meanwhile, is disappointed to hear that Peggy's had to cancel her lunch plans due to work commitments. Peggy, however, is at Archie's house dressed only in one of his shirts. Ryan collars Janine on the Square and informs her that Archie was the one who stopped the fire at The Vic but it soon becomes apparent to him that Janine knew all along but insists that it was her idea. Ryan, however, counters that Archie could have outwitted her all along in order to become the hero of the hour. Peggy returns home and after lying to Roxy over where she was the previous night, she panics when Roxy claims that 'somebody's had sex'. Uneasy, Peggy follows Roxy to the bathroom to see the evidence - the toilet seat has been left up. Roxy quickly presumes that it must've been Ronnie.
Catching up with Archie in the Square, Janine confronts him over his plan to become Peggy's knight in shining armour on the night of the fire. He insists that her plan was rubbish and that he has a better one - but he's not telling her what it is! Having heard that The Vic's not really busy, Pat's mind goes into overdrive as Peggy cancelled their lunch as she had to work. She sees Archie and asks if he's seen Peggy but he lies that he hasn't. Later, Peggy chats to Max about The Vic's insurance and he states that the loss adjuster will visit the following day. Peggy's confused as she thought they'd simply pay out. Archie, meanwhile, looks on with interest.
Pat confides in Roxy over Archie's earlier comments about Peggy and on Peggy's return to The Vic, Roxy quizzes her about cancelling her lunch with Pat. Peggy spins another lie and states that she's meeting up with Aunt Sal. Peggy sneaks back to Archie's house and uses his phone to rearrange her lunch with Pat. Curious, Pat dials 1471 and redials the number. She's shocked, though, to hear Archie on the other end…
Elsewhere, Roxy warns Owen to stay away from Ronnie; Whitney's family help her with her proposed T-shirt business but she's upset when she believes that they're only helping her because Tony's trial is looming; Max takes an ominous phone call; Lucas tells Owen that he has a week to leave; believing that Syed attacked him, Lucy tells him that she's not frightened by his actions; Denise confronts Ronnie about Owen; Jay takes Lucy to a self-defence lesson with Owen; Whtiney's made up when she sees that someone's placed an order for 500 T-shirts, while Ricky's face falls; Abi and Jordan continue to raise money for 'A Tree for Trina'; Syed tells Lucy that she's crazy when she confronts him again; and when confronted by Ronnie, Denise denies still loving Owen but he's left puzzled when he overhears their exchange - could Denise still love him?

As a troubled-looking Denise wanders through the Square, Owen looks on and notices her unease. The pair lock eyes and Denise turns away, while twiddling with her engagement rung. When Patrick lets her know that Lucas wants to talk about the wedding, Denise wanders off in frustration. Patrick's confused by Denise's reaction and asks if she's unhappy about the wedding going ahead with the plans that are being made. Denise reassures Patrick that she's fine and noticing Ronnie and Owen, she heads inside. Returning home, Denise spots Lucas greeting a pastor and quickly walks in another direction. A concerned Lucas eventually chats to Denise but an argument ensues and Lucas heads out to the community centre. Denise then settles at the table where Lucas's wedding plans are laid out. Owen looks on as the commotion between bride and groom-to-be unfolds.
Later, Patrick walks in on Denise frantically cleaning. When confronted, Denise reluctantly admits that she's jealous of Ronnie and Owen's seemingly blossoming relationship. Denise goes to the café with Patrick but she's uneasy on seeing that Owen's there. Trying to follow Denise, Owen's stopped by Patrick who tells him to leave Denise alone. Owen ignores Patrick's warning and finally catching up with Denise, he asks whether she really wants to marry Lucas or whether she wants to rekindle their relationship. Fighting back the tears, Denise rushes inside. Owen goes to apologise to Ronnie for bolting from her earlier in the day and when Liz asks him about his relationship with Ronnie, he denies that anything's going on.
Liz hands Owen a postcard from Libby, which says that she can't wait to see him when she next returns from university. Liz then assures her son that he's most definitely a changed man.
Meanwhile, Peggy tries to sneak out of The Vic but on remembering that it's Amy's birthday the following day, goes to help Roxy prepare for the party. Pat soon turns up and confronts Peggy as to why she was with Archie the previous day. Backed into a corner, Peggy admits that something's going on with Archie but it's just "a bit of fun". Pat, however, warns her against the idea. Peggy then tries to tell Roxy about rekindling her romance with Archie but Roxy's distracted. Peggy confides in Archie that Pat knows that they're back together and feeling like she's betraying her friends and family, tries to call everything off. Archie, however, is having none of it and tries to kiss her, prompting Peggy to walk out. Later, Archie turns up with news for Peggy and claims that he knew their relationship wouldn't last as his cancer has returned…

Airs on Friday, November 13 2009 at 20:00 GMT on BBC One
Archie's seemingly preoccupied as he combs his hair, while Peggy stares into the mirror and sighs, clearly thinking about Archie. It's baby Amy's birthday and Peggy walks into the room to find Roxy singing to her daughter. Likening Amy to Archie, Peggy's saddened when she thinks back to his revelation the previous day that his cancer has returned. Later, Pat tells Peggy that Archie playing the 'I'm dying' card is despicable. Peggy quickly draws a comparison to Frank and insists that if he ever wanted Pat to be there, she would have been - and more to the point, she's convinced that Archie's telling the truth about being ill. Peggy goes to confront Archie about his cancer and he reveals that he's going back to the doctors but he's almost certain it's back.
Later, Peggy hears Archie telling Roxy that he'll pop in to see Amy during her party and that he can always talk Peggy around. Overhearing his claim, Peggy insists that he tell his daughters about his condition. Archie retorts that she should tell them that they're back on. With that, Archie heads off to the doctors. As Roxy and Jack argue about Amy's birthday present, Ronnie storms through with Peggy in tow. Ronnie tells Roxy about Peggy's reunion with their estranged father. The argument over Archie spills out onto the Square and as she apologises, she insists that it's all over between them.
Later, Archie's in his flat having prepared a meal for Peggy. Noticing the time, he realises that Peggy's not intending to show. He dons his coat and heads outside. In The Vic, everyone's singing happy birthday to baby Amy.
