Actress Sunetra Sarker will be joining the cast of CASUALTY as new female Consultant Zoe Hanna.
Sunetra, best known for her role as nurse Anji in Channel 4's 'No Angels' will be onscreen from the New Year.
Her character has been described as 'ruthless and dynamic'.
Sunetra's other previous TV appearances include The Chase, Ideal, New Street Law, Mobile as well as a guest stint in HOLBY CITY back in 2004.
I like her, its funny she always plays nurses or is in the medical profession, in Brookside. No Angels, The chase and now casualty.
I love this actress, ever since her days in Brookie.

Casualty has offered a first look at Zoe Hanna's exciting return this weekend as she heads back to the ED to see her estranged husband Max Walker.
Digital Spy exclusively revealed last year that Sunetra Sarker would be reprising her role as Zoe for one episode only, having originally left the show back in 2016.
The BBC medical drama will be revisiting the relationship between Zoe and Max (Jamie Davis) in Saturday's episode, which kicks off when the popular doctor arrives back in Holby unexpectedly.

Zoe seemingly turns up at the hospital to support her struggling friend Dylan Keogh, but it quickly becomes clear that her true motive is to attempt a reconciliation with Max – who is adamant that he wants a divorce.
After a difficult reunion, Zoe finally admits that she misses Max, but is left stung when he retaliates by asking her to sign the divorce papers.
As Zoe fights for her marriage, will Max decide to give her a second chance? Or are the pair about to part ways forever?
Casualty airs these scenes on Saturday, January 13 at 8.25pm on BBC One.
