It's the morning after the night before for Justin (Chris Fountain) and Becca (Ali Bastian), but romance isn't in the air for long. It looks like Becca may have got away with last night's indiscretion but can Justin keep quiet about what went on? O.B. (Darren Jeffries) and Max (Matt Littler) need a dynamite idea for New Year's Eve. They hit the internet and find the answer: Clare Devine (Samantha Rowley)! Craig (Guy Burnet) and Steph (Carley Stenson) get to work in The Dog, desperate to prove they can handle Jack's (James McKenna) busy schedule. Mandy (Sarah Jayne Dunn) is feeling tired after a fitful night with Antonia when Dominic (John Pickard) turns up.

Justin (Chris Fountain) is left high and dry after the ecstasies of Christmas night: surely Becca (Ali Bastian) feels the same way? Tony (Nick Pickard) and Mandy (Sarah Jayne Dunn) are still concerned about Antonia's weight, and are paying little attention to Uncle Dom's (John Pickard) continued bad mood. Craig (Guy Burnet) and Steph (Carley Stenson) pick up a list of chores... only to discover it's six feet long! And Max (Matt Littler) arrives for work dressed to the nines, only to find O.B. (Darren Jeffries) suited and booted too. It looks like Clare Devine (Samantha Rowley) is going to be popular! But she has a few questions of her own...

Jake (Kevin Sacre) is keen to make the most of what's left of Becca's (Ali Bastian) holiday, but can't help feeling shut out. Alone with Jake, Mandy (Sarah Jayne Dunn) is forced to admit Becca has post-wedding blues; little does she realise a tearful Becca is listening in. When all else fails to impress, Steph (Carley Stenson) organises a gig to entertain the Dog punters. Dominic (John Pickard) and Tony (Nick Pickard) prepare for the Il Gnosh booking, but there isn't much brotherly love in the kitchen. Nicole (Ciara Janson) can't believe Nancy (Jessica Fox) was staying with Becca over the Christmas holidays. Why didn't she call her? When Sarah (Loui Batley) and Hannah (Emma Rigby) drop by, the girls decide to make the most of New Year's Eve and smuggle themselves into the Loft party.

The girls set up a makeshift catwalk as they plan their outfits and exactly how they're going to get into The Loft on New Year's Eve. It's Tom's (Ellis Hollins) sixth birthday, but Max (Matt Littler) is more interested in finding a babysitter for New Year's Eve to give him a fighting chance with Clare (Samantha Rowley). Steph (Carley Stenson) and Craig (Guy Burnet) work hard to succeed in their role swap with Frankie (Helen Pearson) and Jack (James McKenna). And Liz (Andree Bernard), Mel (Cassie Powney) and Sophie (Connie Powney) arrive home from Greece, but Mel is apprehensive about coming back to the house as the horrific memories come flooding back

It's New Year's Eve and everyone's up for a party. At the stroke of midnight, Hannah (Emma Rigby) is stuck in the toilets with a sick Nicole (Ciara Janson), Rhys (Andrew Moss) comes face to face with Sarah (Loui Batley), and O.B. (Darren Jeffries) thinks he's won the battle as he kisses Clare (Samantha Rowley); but little does he know she's also kissing Max (Matt Littler)! Becca (Ali Bastian) and Jake (Kevin Sacre) spend New Year's Eve in the flat with Mandy (Sarah Jayne Dunn) and Tony (Nick Pickard). At the stroke of midnight, Nancy (Jessica Fox) makes her move on Justin (Chris Fountain), but Justin's eyes are firmly locked with Becca's. Mel (Cassie Powney) tries to lay off the booze, but the thought of spending New Year's Eve at home with Sophie (Connie Powney) and her mum isn't that appealing. She passes out in the Jubilee Gardens in the freezing winter temperatures... will she survive the night
