2651: The new students arrive
Airs on Monday, September 21 2009 at 18:30 BST on Channel 4

The new freshers arrive in halls. Charlotte can't believe that her friend Dave has manage to wangle himself a place in her halls. Dave, meanwhile, starts his university life as he means to go on - with two cases of beer and a trip to the union to party!

Josh arrives at halls with his mum in tow but he's desperate to get rid of her as she starts embarrassing him in front of his mates. Hayley's not happy to discover that Josh has moved in and the atmosphere's slightly uneasy after everything that's happened between them.

Meanwhile, new student India doesn't get off to a good start. She's been drenched in beer on her way past the union and inadvertently exposes herself to the whole bar. The lads like what they see, though, when she finally arrives at halls.

As they all get to know each other, India's put in the spotlight but there's an uneasy silence when she manages to offend everyone. Isolated from the group after Hayley snaps at her, India finds comfort in Archie, while the rest of the freshers challenge each other to dares. Charlotte wears her pyjamas in public, Hayley steals Myra's underwear off the washing line, Dave pulls a moonie at the bus stop and a reluctant Josh - who knows his dad will kill him if he finds out - steals the moped from Mobs.

Charlotte and Hayley try to get India away from Archie, knowing full well what he's like, but India's having none of it after the way they've treated her and happily heads off with him. India's heartbroken, though, when she realises that she was just another notch on Archie's bedpost.

Meanwhile, Lauren's upset when Frankie has a go at her as she's convinced that the youngster knows where Newt is. She's shocked, though, when Frankie reveals that Gaz is still alive.

Upset after her confrontation with Frankie, Lauren tells Calvin that Newt's missing and explains that they all had an argument before he ran off. Calvin insists on speaking to Frankie but is slightly alarmed when Cheryl takes over and marches Lauren round to the house to fight her corner.

After saying her piece, Cheryl finds herself comforting Frankie as she breaks down in her arms. At that point, everyone decides that it's time they all pulled together. Lauren goes to see Gaz in hospital and is relieved when he reveals that he can't remember anything about what happened…

Elsewhere, Gilly enters a radio competition and is thrilled when he wins an adventure holiday of a lifetime. When Gilly finds out that it's Fernando's birthday and that he hasn't told Steph for fear of making her feel bad, Gilly reluctantly offers to take him for a pint.

2652: Elliot receives a warning about the money
Airs on Tuesday, September 22 2009 at 18:30 BST on Channel 4

Elliot's frantic when he receives a letter from his solicitor regarding the charges against him. The arrival of Detective Constable Ged Paxton from Dee Valley Police sends Elliot and Zak into a panic, especially when he quizzes them about the money. Paxton accuses them of drug dealing and their obvious paranoia makes them look guilty.

Just as Paxton's about to search the flat, Calvin turns up. Paxton makes his excuses and leaves which arouses Elliot's suspicion over his legitimacy. Zak, however, tells Elliot that he's being paranoid.

Later in the SU Bar, Elliot spots Paxton enter. Fearing his degree and future career may be at risk, he decides to have a word with him in the hope of rectifying his predicament. He catches up with Paxton outside but unsuccessfully attempts to explain the situation. Paxton, however, decides to drop the act and much to Elliot's shock, admits that he's no policeman - he is called Ged but he's actually an old acquaintance of Warren's.

Ged tells Elliot that he wants his money back and they have 24 hours to get it to him.

Meanwhile, India's still shut in her room after her embarrassment with Archie the previous day. Hayley's annoyed when Josh nominates her to be the one to show her around the village. Hayley reluctantly agrees but is rattled by Josh's concern for India. Dave proudly shows off the scooter they stole from Mobs, although not everyone finds the new hall trophy so funny.

At the SU Bar, Hayley's efforts to cheer up India fail miserably. Hayley soon lets slip that she, too, has slept with Archie. India's horrified as Archie enters and they watch on as he heads straight over to a group of girls.

Thinking she's doing India a favour, Hayley shouts over to Archie and warns the girls about how he treated India. India, however, is mortified and flees the bar just as Josh and Dave arrive. Back at Halls, a jealous Hayley misconstrues an innocent hug between Josh and India as something more amorous.

Elsewhere, Gilly's not feeling his best after celebrating Fernando's birthday with him. Without thinking, he lets slip to Steph why he was out drinking. Steph's mortified that she forgot her boyfriend's birthday and snaps at Gilly for not telling her. She later returns with an apology for Gilly and a present from Fernando. While Steph's writing Fernando's card, Gilly peeks in the bag and is horrified to see that Steph has bought Fernando some novelty animal underpants.

Fernando arrives just as Steph realises that the pants are a bad idea but before she can tell him that she hasn't bought him a present, Gilly hands them his adventure week tickets, telling Fernando that Steph had ordered them. Fernando's made up with the tickets and Gilly can only watch on as they kiss.

Airs on Wednesday, September 23 2009 at 18:30 BST on Channel 4

Zak, Elliot and Archie anxiously discuss what they should do with the money, fearing that Ged will make a return. They agree to take their shares and go their separate ways, leaving Hollyoaks for good. But when the problem arises over what to do with Kris's cash, they decide to stick together until they're clear of Chester.

With time ticking on, Archie goes to source a getaway car from a friend, while Elliot's entrusted with the money and takes refuge in The Dog with Zak. They find themselves hiding among the throngs of party-loving freshers and they realise how hard it'll be to leave, especially without being able to say goodbye to their loved ones.

He menacingly reveals that he knows about the money and wants it back - or Archie's a goner. Darren's annoyed at Cindy's extravagance, telling her that it's a waste of money. Already irritated by Josh's fresher ball success at The Dog, he envisages that their plan failing - Neville won't want to sell the pub and Tony won't have any money left.

Realising that Darren has a point, she reluctantly encourages Tony to cut back on costs. Now excited and going overboard with the plans himself, Tony's adamant that Cindy will have her dream day. Cindy, however, assures him that marrying him is enough and they agree to compromise. Cindy sadly mourns the loss of her dream wedding.

Elsewhere, the students excitedly look forward to the freshers' ball until Hayley breaks the news that it's been cancelled. Dave's determined to solve their problem and approaches Neville in an attempt to persuade him to let them hold the ball at The Dog. With Dave and Josh promising that the event won't get out of hand, Neville agrees and gets into the spirit by suggesting a disco, much to Josh's embarrassment.

At halls, Hayley's convinced that someone's stealing her food and calls a house meeting. No one's really interested in resolving the issue and Hayley's already decided that India's the culprit. Josh tries to stand up for India, which further angers Hayley and fuels her jealousy.

Out of spite, Hayley neglects to mention that the dress code for the ball is now less formal and enjoys the sight of India turning up in a ball gown! Despite sticking out like a sore thumb, India still manages to catch the attention of both Dave and Darren.

Dave leads the freshers into wild rebellion at the pub, helping themselves to pints and wreaking havoc. An irate Neville soon disrupts the antics, though, and tells Josh that he must pay back every penny that's been lost. India apologises to Neville and Suzanne and offers them £200 to cover the costs, which Neville willingly accepts.

Josh is grateful to India and they embrace, while an envious Hayley looks on. Hayley loses loses it and sends India fleeing. With the night in tatters, Josh and Dave abandon a shamefaced Hayley and resolve to make up for it by heading out on the lash.

The students return home in the early hours and bump into Neville. Dave quickly suggests that Josh enter the competition to win it back.

In a bid to try and catch her out, Hayley contaminates a pizza from her fridge shelf with laxatives and awaits India's 'outing'. At the car competition, India starts to feel the effects of the laxatives but endeavours to hide her discomfort for as long as possible. Josh is determined that one of the group must win the car and they all find themselves bonding over the experience, with Hayley even trying to break the ice with India. Lydia appears fragile and upset but apologises for moving their relationship too fast. Sarah declares that she's moved on but Lydia begs her to meet for a drink. Feeling sorry for Lydia, Sarah apologises for being unsympathetic and they kiss. Lydia reminds her of the chemistry they used to share and reassures Sarah that she wants to take it slowly this time. Nancy shows up and sees the newly-reunited couple together. Sarah, however, doesn't look completely convinced.

Elsewhere, Zak and Elliot are in full-on panic mode and as they await contact from Ged, they worry about Archie's wellbeing. They're soon disturbed by someone entering the flat - it's Kris returning from his trip. Kris carries a bag that's been left outside into the flat in with him and the lads fill him in on recent events. When they look in the bag, they find Archie's t-shirt soiled with blood, along with an address written on a piece of paper - they must deliver the money in order to ensure Archie's safe return.

Ged instructs that Zak hand over the money, before he'll release Archie. Zak begins to have second thoughts about parting ways with the cash and tries to bargain with him. Archie's soon freed on the condition that Zak surrenders the money, but he hesitates and Kris rushes forward from outside and grabs the bag.

Elliot goes into hiding, while Ged knocks into Zak to chase after Kris, sending Zak flying. With Kris on the run from Ged, Elliot and Archie are left wondering if Zak is dead or alive.
