Chipmunk has prevented The Saturdays from scoring their first number one single.

The 18-year-old rapper, who hails from Tottenham in north London, debuts in the top spot this week with 'Oopsy Daisy'. His previous singles, 'Chip Diddy Chip' and 'Diamond Rings', peaked at numbers 21 and six respectively earlier this year.

The Saturdays, meanwhile, have to settle for second position with 'Forever Is Over', the lead single from their upcoming Wordshaker album.

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys slip to three with 'Empire State Of Mind', while last week's number one, 'Break Your Heart' by Taio Cruz, falls to four.

Meanwhile, Whitney Houston makes her first appearance on the singles chart since 2002 after debuting at 12 with 'Million Dollar Bill'.

Notable gains outside the top ten come from Tinchy Stryder, who climbs from 32 to 14 with 'You're Not Alone', and Jordin Sparks, who advances from 18 to 15 with 'SOS (Let The Music Play)'.

Forever Is Over isn't that great though, I think they should be glad it managed number two! Oopsy Daisy is much better.
