Louise coming back?

Now that Louise has sold her share in the B&B, is she still coming back to Emmerdale later this year? I see her name (Emily Symons) has been removed from the Soap Mover section on Digital Spy too. Looks like she is staying in Australia longer than initially planned.

Emmerdale star Alex Carter has revealed that he would like to see Emily Symons return to the soap.

The 27-year-old's character Jamie Hope was involved in a relationship with the actress's alter ego Louise Appleton during her final months on the show. However, problems in their romance led to Louise leaving the village behind in late 2008.

Carter has now told Inside Soap that he would be thrilled if Louise made a comeback to become a love rival of Gennie Walker (Sian Reese-Williams). However, he conceded that the plot twist is unlikely to happen because Symons is now living in her native Australia again.

"I'd love Louise to come back and stir up things between Jamie and his new girlfriend Gennie. It would be a great story," Carter explained.

"But I don't think Emily Symons would fancy the commute from Australia, where she's living now. I didn't know Symo, as I call her, until we started working together but we became really great friends. I miss her absolutely loads."

The actor also discussed which celebrities would be ideal guest stars on the Yorkshire-based programme.

He said: "Bill Murray or Steve Coogan, I reckon. Or even maybe Morrissey - there's a rumour going around that he's a fan of Emmerdale and I think our producers did try and get him on the show."

I thought Emily left for just one year but obviously is not going to return now.

I don't think there's really any need for her to return to be honest, shes had her time on the show. I've barely noticed shes missing.

Didn't the actress leave because of personel problems, like someone in her family was unwell and she needed time to spend with them, but maybe the situation is longer than expected.

The character has not been missed, only when we want to get rid of Jamie:lol:

I would love to see her back as her and Jamie made a nice pairing but if they didn't get these 2 characters back together what use would she be? She has sold her interest in the pub and B&B

There is really nothing for her to return to, I think her problems in Australia are keeping her there for much longer than they could explain her absence in Emmerdale. Hope the actress is ok :)

BTW was Ray's body ever recovered and is it Terry who only knows the truth?

OMG Ray was the man that was tormenting her all those years ago?
Only Terry knows her secret along with Diane from what I remember. I can't think if he was found or not.
