Mark (Maxwell Caulfield) is clearly agitated about Faye (Kim Thomson) and is taking it out on the rest of the family. When he makes the decision to cancel his golfing trip, Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) isn’t happy and demands he stop acting as though he’s jealous. Mark covers that he’s concerned for Ryan and when Natasha asserts Faye is only toying with him, he hesitantly agrees to go on his trip. Later, Natasha confronts a defiant Faye in The Woolpack toilets, telling her she’s pathetic and that Cain (Jeff Hordley) will use her for whatever he can get and then toss her aside. Back at the bar, Cain tells Mark, in front of Natasha, that he is welcome to Faye – she’s nothing more than a clingy tart. Mark rises to the bait and furiously follows Cain out of the pub, ignoring Natasha’s order to stay put. Faye tells him she knows he’s jealous and that he loves her, he’s just not man enough to admit it. Mark is unable to deny it and she leaves him tormented when she tells him she’s not sure that she’ll still be there when he gets back from holiday.
Meanwhile, Ryan (James Sutton) reluctantly covers for Debbie (Charley Webb) when she goes to meet Michael (Jamie Belman). However, when Cain spots Michael’s car in the village, he’s determined to find them. Debbie pales as she realises they’re about to be caught and Michael quickly sneaks to his car. Cain angrily confronts him demanding to know why he’s in the village. Michael brazenly states that he doesn’t have to answer to him and he’s not seen Debbie for weeks. When Cain asks if he thinks he’s an idiot, Michael goads him and doesn’t back down when Cain tells him to leave the village. But he’s murderous when he warns Michael never to come back and leaves him shaken. Has Cain scared off Michael for good?
Elsewhere, Zak (Steve Halliwell) tells a depressed Paddy (Dominic Brunt) that he’s still family to them and he can push them away all they likes, but they won’t give up on him. Feeling miserable, he goes to the pub to drown his sorrows. Will he ever get over Chas’ betrayal?
Also, Jai (Chris Bisson) and Nikhil (Rik Makarem) continue to disagree over decisions in the factory and Nikhil is quick to remind his brother who’s boss.
Katie (Sammy Winward) is still disappointed with Ryan (James Sutton) and is annoyed when he tells her to get over him.

Tuesday 22 September
Paddy (Dominic Brunt) is hung over from the night before, and is still feeling down in the dumps when a hopeful Aaron (Danny Miller) arrives to take Clyde for a walk and suggests he move back in with him. Paddy is incredulous and reminds him that he’s no longer living with Chas, so why should he have to live with her teenage son - he’s her responsibility not his! Aaron’s hurt and tells Paddy it’s not his fault - he warned him about his mum and he should never have gone on that course and ruined everything. He storms out leaving Paddy feeling guilty and worried. Arriving at the Dingle’s to check he’s okay, Paddy panics when Shadrach (Andy Devine) tells him he packed all his bags and left. Paddy finds him at the side of the road hitchhiking and admits he does care for him and doesn’t want him to leave the village. Paddy agrees to let Aaron move back in with him until he finds somewhere more suitable. How will Paddy cope having Aaron back in the house without Chas? How will Chas react when she finds out?
Ryan (James Sutton) once again agrees to cover for Debbie (Charley Webb) as she goes to meet Michael (Jamie Belman). She tells him he’s mad coming back to the village after Cain’s threats yesterday but they enjoy a morning in bed together. Cain (Jeff Hordley) arrives home and finds him in the house, but Michael is defiant. As Cain berates Debbie, Michael defends her but when he pins him up against the wall, Michael realises he’s serious when he threatens to kill him if he ever comes back. Debbie is fuming with Cain as Michael flees. Is this the last she’ll see of him?
Meanwhile, Katie (Sammy Winward) is worried she’s never going to find a man who treats her well and is disappointed Ryan turned out to be just like all the others. Maisie (Alice Coulthard) urges her to give him another chance, but she’s worried about getting hurt. Is it over for Katie and Ryan?

Wednesday 23 September
Debbie (Charley Webb) is still furious with Cain (Jeff Hordley) for attacking Michael (Jamie Belman) and is relieved when he finally calls and arranges to meet her. She’s gutted when Michael tells her this was meant be a good thing – enjoyable/exciting for them both but if people are going to get hurt, perhaps it’s gone too far – it was going to have to end at some point anyway. Worried he’s about to end things with her, Debbie tries to talk him round, and tells him she thinks she’s already in love with him and its too late to worry about getting hurt. Michael’s shocked by the depth of her feelings for him and she’s devastated that he doesn’t seem to reciprocate. However when he reveals he is engaged, Debbie is floored. As the enormity of the situation sinks in, Michael tries to reassure her that he does have strong feelings for her and he doesn’t even know if he loves his fiancée anymore, but Debbie is fuming and shouts that her dad was right all along. When he reveals that the wedding is next week, Debbie explodes and throws him out feeling she’s been nothing more than a final fling to Michael.
Meanwhile, Gennie (Sian Reese- Williams) urges Katie (Sammy Winward) to forgive Ryan (James Sutton), but Katie is sure he doesn’t want anything to do with her now anyway. Taking heed of Gennie’s advice she apologise to him but is dejected when he tells her to forget it - he’s not bothered about what she thinks of him. However, Ryan clearly still has feelings for her, will they ever hit it off?
Elsewhere, Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) confronts Faye (Kim Thomson) after seeing the tension between her and Cain and asks her when she’ll be moving on – now that she’s splitting up with Cain there doesn’t seem to be any point in her staying around. However, when Faye assures her that Cain wasn’t the reason she came in the first place, Natasha is unnerved that she’s clearly still intent on pursuing Mark.
Also, Aaron (Danny Miller) and Paddy (Dominic Brunt) continue to bicker, but Paddy admits he’s glad of the company.

Elsewhere, Shadrach (Andy Devine) and Zak (Steve Halliwell) are trying to convince Nikhil (Rik Makarem) that they have rats at Holdgate. Keen to make a decision without Jai (Chris Bisson), Nikhil agrees to let them come round and sort out the problem out whilst he’s away. However, Lisa is aware of their scam and is worried her job at the factory is at risk. Will the Dingles get away with swindling the Sharmas?
Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam- Shahidi) is struggling with her finances but has been coveting Maisie’s (Alice Coulthard) designer shoes and is fed up with her own tired wardrobe.
