I'm sure none of you on here text and drive but an effective video I think, one to forward to friends/family definitely.

Nothing too gruesome but not too nice either -

I don't know how some people do it texting and driving with so much going on, on the road I don't think most have the time to use the phone- at least I know I don't.

Where I work it is full of roundabouts, speed bumps and other speed restrictions plus lots of careless drivers. I have to use my mind to concentrate and rarely even answer calls on my handsfree.

I don't even use a handsfree. When I'm on the motorbike I see tons of people texting or putting their makeup on

I've seen the video and it's not nice viewing, especially when one of the girls neck snaps.

Unfortunately its not going to be shown on tv so I doubt it will reach the intended audience.

It is a shame that it won't be shown as people really should be aware of the dangers of texting and driving

Being from a generation before mobile phones existed, I ask myself why the public phone boxes did not have queues miles long in front of them when I was a child. :hmm: I ignore my mobile phone when I am driving, nothing can be that important that I wish to risk my life and that of others. When I am expecting an important call/message, I pull over and stop the car to take the call or read the message. Simple.

Seriously is this really going to make them stop??? nah cos too many people think "OH THAT WON'T HAPPEN TO ME",there are too many "cocky" people out there and people who think they are immortal and/or too YOUNG TO DIE sorry if I sound negative but we all know that no matter how realistic these video clips are THEY DO NOT THINK SUCH THING WOULD EVER HAPPEN TO THEM. same thing goes with Teen pregancies,,, OH I ONLY DID IT ONCE,, duhhhhh it only takes once. My cell phone stays in my purse with the sound off..and the vibro off as well...as some one said,,, NOTHING is more important than your life and the lives of others,, leave the dumb cell phone alone........UNTIL you are parked in your drive way or some where where there is NO MOVING traffic.,,

im bad for texting and driving ..well not seriously bad but i will text someone back and i will text home saying put the kettle on or home in 5 give us a hand with the shopping so pointless things one day i will be fined :nono: but that girl in the vid had her fone up in the air and she never looked at the road once! so that is silly and you just wouldnt text like that incase a copper was coming up the road
