I have been watching lots of stand up recently and it got me thinking who my favourite would be, its such a tough as there are such good ones.

I think my favourite at the minute is Jason Manford, i like the Northern thing he has, or Dara OBriain, i love him on Mock the Week.

I HATE Jimmy Carr.

Me too. He's iritating, as is Alan Carr.

Are they related to each other?

I hated Michael McIntyre when I first saw him but he's grown on me.

If we're talking about present day stand-ups, I reckon Alan Davies or Eddie Izzard. Peter Kay is good as well.

But none of them can match Tommy Cooper, the greatest of them all.

Was Tommy that good? I am a little too young to remember him

The thing about Tommy Cooper was he just had to walk on stage and say nothing and everyone would fall about laughing. His jokes were so stupid, but again it was his stage presence and they way he spoke that was just so irresistibly funny.

I will see if I can find some clips of him on youtube or something

Tommy Lee. Now you're talking. I think they are from a bygone age. Eric & Ernie as well.

Alan Carr and Michael McIntyre are my favourites at the mo. I think Jimmy Carr and Bill Bailey can be really funny at times as well.

I don't get the love for Ricky Gervais. People seem to really like him as a comedian but I don't find him funny at all... is it just me

I forgot about Bill Bailey. Definitely one of my favourites.

I quite like Ricky Gervais but I can see why some people don't find him funny.

Tommy Cooper and Eric and Ern they don't make them like they used to. I used to howl at Tommy Cooper as soon as he walked on stage.
