They are cooked in something to the above picture it is similar to a boiled egg except you would crack the egg put in the dish above. You can boil with the lid on for up to 8 mins and have the egg just on its own or put something inside it like cheese or herbs or both.

Fried is losing and rightly so.

 fried eggs make me want to heave. i think its becuase its just dripping in fat  plus i hate the yellow bit of an egg so when i see someone cut open the yellow bit on a fried egg and it pours everywhere

Hannelene
05-09-2009, 14:10
Fried eggs make me feel unwell at times too I don't know why this happens but I can have omlettes and be fine. It must be the oil that they are cooked in as I started to use the spray oil frylite and that seems to make eggs that are fried taste fairly decent

scrambled eggs with brown toast and tomatoes is always a winner

Oh that's the best bit of the egg! I hate the white part.

Scrambled is the way to go, especially with an all day breakfast.

I hate the smell of hard boiled eggs  I don't mind them with a runny yolk (dippy egg) but can't stand them hard.

Not an omelette fan, the texture is a bit strange.

Amazing how much you can do with an egg.

Hannelene
05-09-2009, 17:35
A runny egg or a sunny side up as some people call them are the best :) I love to dip my toast into the yolk, the white bits do nothing for me either

Perdita
05-09-2009, 17:40
Any form for me, love eggs, a friend in Spain made me two large jars of pickled eggs, yummie :D But the yolk has to be runny for me for the other eggs

I used to like eggs. Then I was in hopital after an accident and the fed me some absolutley vile medicine. When I got out a few months later, whenever I ate an egg it reminded me of the medicine for some reason and I'd be instantly sick. Not sick anymore but the memory of the medicine is enough to put me off so I don't eat them except when disguised in cooking.

Kirsty :]
05-09-2009, 23:14
I still have that song in my head too Abbie!!

And I think the chicken came first :p

And also... EGG MAYO! How amazing is egg mayo!? My firends Mum made egg mayp sandwiches at her results party a few weeks ago.. btu she put cheese in somehow, they werre amazingg! But good old egg and cress made by Nan does the trick :)

Abigail

I would so loved to say that to someone

Seriously I don't like eggs it's the smell of them getting cooked gives me the heaves and I hate cold eggs mixed with mayo.

I prefer an omelette, but that doesn't seem to be an option I can vote for, sadly.

Onion omelette, especially. Yum Yum.

Kirsty :]

I love scrambled eggs, but only if they are cooked properly with no added milk. Eggs, knob of butter salt and freshly ground black pepper whisked while it cooks and taken off the heat before if over cooks - perfect.

I also make pasta with eggs - a friend of mine keeps chickens and if we use those free range eggs to make pasta the colour is great.

I used to have 3 chickens, it was brilliant, you'd just take eggs out the hutch and eat them, so fresh. :D

I had scrambled egg on toast for tea again. Made it with two egg whites and three yokes without milk this time. I put loads of crushed black pepper and salt in and it came out very yellow.

Tastes better without the milk. Next step is to try it in a pan :hmm: Might end up stuck to the bottom

Abbie

You need to keep stirring it all the time while it cooks, then you should be alright :)
