Ryan (James Sutton) is astounded when Faye (Kim Thomson) tells him she has returned the money to Cain (Jeff Hordley). He covers that it was a bonus for bringing in a new contract and believing Faye goes to the garage later that day to apologise to Cain and agrees to take him for a drink that evening. Cain continues to flirt with her at the pub and when they arrive back at her house they finally kiss. However, Faye quickly pulls away and asks him to leave before things go any further. Is Faye falling for Cain?
Meanwhile, Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) is shocked to discover Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) has got himself mixed up with Cain and is upset when he decides to go to London to get away and clear his head. Mark (Maxwell Caulfield) tries his best to heal the rift in the family and suggests they take a family holiday but Natasha is frustrated that he thinks a weekend away can solve all their problems - Mark’s consumed with guilt as she reminds him he’s already driven one of their children out. With Ryan and Faye in the village, will the Wyldes be able to overcome their problems?

Elsewhere, Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) and Ashley (John Middleton) go to the dinner date they’ve been dreading at Sally (Sian Reeves) and Vincent’s (Antony Byrne) house and as Vincent continues to wind Ashley up, Sally defends him. Does Sally still have a soft spot for Ashley?
Michael begs Debbie for the chance to explain but she’s furious as he tells her he didn’t want to hurt her and wants to carry on seeing her. Debbie makes it clear she’s not going to be his bit on the side, but she’s clearly conflicted when he pleads with her to give him another chance. Will Debbie remain strong or follow her heart?

Cain (Jeff Hordley) tries to comfort a gutted Debbie (Charley Webb) and can’t hide his rage at Michael (Jamie Belman) for the way he’s treated her. When Michael arrives in the village to see her, furious Cain attacks him, slamming him against his car and warning him to stay away from his daughter. Unnerved Michael makes to leave but Cain is still fuming and punches him as he turns to go. Debbie is unsettled when Cain tells her he beat Michael up and will see to it that he’ll be sorry if he ever shows up again. However, later that night Debbie is alone at home when Michael sneaks in to see her. She’s torn as he declares he can’t walk away from her, but she remains impassive. When he leaves he tells her he’s staying at a hotel in town and will be there until tomorrow afternoon - if she doesn’t come and see him he’ll know she doesn’t want him. Will Debbie succumb to her feelings and go to the hotel?
Chas (Lucy Pargeter) tries to convince herself that she’s doing Paddy (Dominic Brunt) a favour by not telling him about her one night stand with Carl (Tom Lister). However, when Paddy arrives home from his course with flowers and chocolates, her heart melts and she feels terrible. Overcome with both guilt and affection for him, she finds it difficult to lie to him and feels very uncomfortable when Carl is in the pub later that day. Terrified of Paddy finding out, Chas follows Carl out of the pub after seeing them talking. Carl assures her he hasn’t said anything to him but reminds her that this isn’t going to go away. Carl is frustrated and Chas is in turmoil, how long can they hide their secret from Paddy?

Debbie (Charley Webb) gives in to temptation and goes to Michael’s (Jamie Belman) hotel. As soon as she arrives she pushes him into the bedroom and starts kissing him passionately as they fall onto the bed. Afterwards, she tells him she knows he won’t end things with the other woman but she’ll stay with him as long as they can continue to have fun. She reiterates that they’ll have to keep it a secret from Cain (Jeff Hordley), he’s dangerous and he already hates Michael. Will they be able to keep their affair a secret?
Faye (Kim Thomson) and Cain continue to flirt with each other and its clear Mark (Maxwell Caulfield) is uneasy as he witnesses them getting closer. When Maisie (Alice Coulthard) confirms his suspicions that something is going on between them and Cain threatens Maisie. Mark goes to Faye’s house and tells her to tell her boyfriend to stay away from his family. Faye is incredulous but she’s pleased that she seems to be rattling Mark. In the pub later, she flirts with Cain, intent on making Mark jealous. Is she using Cain? Will Mark rise to the bait?

Ashley’s aware of Laurel’s tone and reminds her there is only one more day until the match is over and Vincent and Sally are out of their lives. Laurel’s relieved, but will Vincent and Sally be so easy to get out of their lives?
Also, Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) is convinced she’s about to be sacked when Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) arrives at the house for a word and is shocked when she tells her that her job is safe and she should take proper maternity leave and enjoy being a mum for a while.

Katie (Sammy Winward) warns her that her whole life is at risk and to think long and hard before she makes any rash decisions about leaving Paddy, but Chas can’t see any other options, she feels wretched for betraying his trust and can’t live with herself. Meanwhile, Paddy is on his way to the cricket match when Carl stops him and tells him they need to have a serious chat in private. Paddy knows what’s coming and tries to laugh it off when Carl tells him Chas doesn’t want to be with him, but is crushed when Carl drops the bombshell that they slept together. Will Paddy ever forgive Chas? Will Chas ever forgive Carl for going behind her back and telling Paddy?
Elsewhere, Bob (Tony Audenshaw) is still trying his best to keep Gennie (Sian Reese Williams) and Jamie (Alex Carter) apart. Fuming Paddy (Dominic Brunt) reels as he takes in the news that Chas (Lucy Pargeter) has betrayed him and feeling utterly humiliated, he roars at Carl (Tom Lister) to get out of his house. Lunging forwards he goes to attack Carl, who dodges him and leaves a broken Paddy on the floor, an emotional wreck. Meanwhile in the pub, Chas has come to the decision not to tell Paddy the truth yet and is hopeful that she’s learned her lesson and she need not hurt him. Paddy goes to the surgery and starts smashing it up in a rage. Arriving at the pub with bin bags full of clothes, he rails at Chas in front of all the villagers. He tips the bags all over the floor and tells her he wants her out of his house and out of his life, he hates her. Desperate Chas is in tears as she begs him to give her a chance to explain, but he’s adamant he wants her out, he’s disgusted by her. Chas collapses to her knees sobbing as Paddy walks away. Will Paddy ever get over Chas’ betrayal? Will Chas turn to Carl?

She’s frantic as she makes excuses up to get Cain out of the house and he finally relents much to her relief. How long can they keep their affair a secret?
Ashley’s (John Middleton) team are losing the cricket match and Vincent (Antony Byrne) has been taunting him throughout. As he starts praying to win, his fast bowl knocks Vincent to the ground, and he’s taken to hospital! Meanwhile, Sally’s (Sian Reeves) closeness to Ashley continues to wind up Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) and the Emmerdale team lose the match despite Vincent’s injury. Later, the Bishop notes that Ashley and Vincent spent the whole match goading one another and questions whether Ashley deliberately threw the ball at him. Just as Ashley and Laurel are hopeful that this is the last they’ll be seeing of Vincent and Sally, Douglas (Duncan Preston) leads them into the house!

Chas decides to go to the vets to speak to him, but he’s still angry and hurt, and when she can’t tell him that she loves him more than she loves Carl, he’s crushed and orders her to clear her desk and go live happily ever after with Carl. Later, when Carl comes to see her, she’s furious that he has assumed just because it’s over with Paddy she’ll be with him. Carl tells an emotional Chas that he’ll wait however long it takes, he won’t lose her again. Later, Gennie (Sian Reese Williams) continues to give Chas a hard time, making it clear she’s not wanted. Feeling she has nowhere else to go, Chas arrives on Carl’s doorstep laden with all her possessions. She tells him she doesn’t know if it’s going to work but they have to give it a try - he’s got her now and he’s given her no other choice. Can Chas and Carl make a go of it this time?
Will (Oscar Lloyd) and Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) are sneaking around Holdgate Farm when they meet the new owners, Jai (Chris Bisson) and Nikhil Sharma (Rik Makarem) who are also about to open the new sweet factory next door. As everyone gets excited about the prospect of interviews, the new bosses cause a stir when they arrive in the village with music blaring from their flashy car. However, when they arrive back at Holdgate, they realise they’re locked out and are forced to call upon the Dingles for help in breaking in. Lisa (Jane Cox) is keen to get both herself and Zak (Steve Halliwell) a job and persuades Jai to consider Zak for the drivers job. As the brothers survey their new premises, Nikhil reminds Jai that he’s the boss of their new business . The Sharmas are optimistic about what the future holds for them in Emmerdale.
