Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) warns Mark (Maxwell Caulfield) that keeping Ryan (Jams Sutton) in the village will cause everything to fall apart and despairs when he refuses to listen and tells her he can’t let his son leave. In the village, Ryan is excitedly packing away his belongings for Dubai and is devastated when Mark arrives and informs him there is no longer a job there for him. Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) is puzzled when he witnesses them rowing and is later stunned when Ryan angrily blurts out that his dad was the one who sorted the job for him in the first place and has messed him around. Nathan quickly comes to the conclusion that his dad has had an affair with Faye (Kim Thomson) and is furious as he confronts him. Panicked Mark admits he had a relationship with Faye but claims it happened six months ago. Nathan’s irate when he breaks the news to Natasha who confirms she already knows. She urges him to keep it to himself and Mark’s saddened when he tells him he’s lost all respect for him. Later, Mark tries to talk to Natasha but she’s still fuming and reminds him she tried to warn him but he’s about to wreck their family. She assures him the truth will come out sooner or later and all they can do now is sit back and watch. Mark’s in turmoil, is his world about to come crashing down?

Meanwhile, David (Matthew Wolfenden) is happy that Pollard (Chris Chitell) seems to be back to his old self now that he’s back in business and seems enthusiastic about the plans for the B&B. However, Terry (Billy Hartman) is less than pleased at the prospect of his new partners and desperately hopes they’ll change their minds and withdraw the offer. Will Val and Pollard drive Terry out of the B&B?

Jimmy (Nick Miles) notices Carl (Tom Lister) is completely besotted with Chas (Lucy Pargeter) when he can’t take his eyes off her walking down the street. Meanwhile, during a girls night in, Katie (Sammy Winward) decides to throw a party for her birthday and when all the girls talk about hooking up, Chas is awkward as she asserts she’s very happy with Paddy and won’t be led astray. Will Carl break her will power or will she remain loyal to Paddy?

Also, Jimmy is starting to get tired of being ordered around by Nicola and feels terrible about throwing Carl out when he realises he’s having a lonely and depressing meal for one.

Laurel and Ashley continue to enlist the villagers to play in the cricket match.

Tuesday 1 September (double bill)

Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) is still furious with Mark (Maxwell Caulfield) who desperately tries to assure her he’ll make things right with Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne). However, the situation worsens when Faye (Kim Thompson) arrives at Home Farm and demands an explanation about why he didn’t let Ryan (James Sutton) take the job in Dubai. Natasha’s seething and Mark’s embarrassed when Faye realises that Mark has feelings for him. Natasha asks her to leave but she’s revelling as she tells him it means the world to her that he cares about his son and the time has now come to tell Ryan the truth. Natasha finally snaps as Faye continues to try and convince Mark to tell Ryan everything and as she ushers her out. Faye warns her that her perfect life is falling apart. Enraged, Natasha decides to take matters into her own hands and heads into the village to tries to appeal to Faye mother to mother about how badly it will affect all their children if the truth comes out. Will Faye relent?

Meanwhile, Pollard (Chris Chittell) and Val (Charlie Hardwick) arrive at the B&B tipsy after celebrating that their paperwork has now been signed and sealed. However, Terry (Billy Hartman) is not happy when they intrude on his downtime with TJ to discuss how they will fit into his working daily routine.

Ashley (John Middleton) is surprised and uncomfortable when Sally (Sian Reeves) arrives in the village and tells him she’d like to buy him a drink. She apologises for the way their relationship ended years ago and explains how sorry she is that Vincent never allowed her to break the news she was leaving him. When Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) arrives in the pub, she’s shocked to see him sat with Sally and as soon as she goes to the bar, Ashley agrees with Laurel that they beat them at cricket and never see them again. Will it be so easy to get Sally and Vincent out of their lives?

Elsewhere, Debbie (Charley Webb) is unconvinced when Chas (Lucy Pargeter) assures her nothing is going to happen between her and Carl (Tom Lister). Chas assures her it’s all ancient history but it’s clear to Debbie that she’s trying to convince herself. Meanwhile, Jimmy (Nick Miles) intervenes when it almost comes to blows between and Aaron (Danny Miller) and Carl after another warning to stay away from his mum. Jimmy warns his brother about the problems he’ll face if he decides to get back together with Chas. Will he stay away from her?


Katie (Sammy Winward) spreads the word about her party and Carl (Tom Lister) is eager to go despite Jimmy warning him off chasing Chas. As soon as she arrives at the party, Carl begins to flirt with her, she fights off her obvious attraction to him and tells him to get lost but can’t help but feel his eyes are on her all night. Katie is pleased when Ryan (James Sutton) finally turns up to the party with Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) who is very drunk. He tries his very best to come on to Chas while Carl watches on furiously jealous. Chas finally slaps Nathan and Carl immediately jumps in and manhandles him towards the door. Chas protests but is furious when Carl continues to wrestle with him. When drunk Chas leaves the party Carl is waiting for her. She tells him he’s wasting his energy trying to get her back - she does have a soft spot for him but it could never work between them. As Carl tells her how much she means to him and how he can’t stop thinking about her, he moves closer, she tries to take a step back but finds herself grabbing him and kisses him passionately but then pushing him away, she’s clearly conflicted, but unable to fight her feelings for Carl she follows him home. Will Chas regret her drunken one night stand?

Masie (Alice Coulthard) starts to notice the tension between Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) and Mark (Maxwell Caulfield). So Natasha decides to tell her about the “affair”. Maisie is flummoxed but they’re relieved when she agrees that if they’ve put it in the past then so can she.

Jimmy tries to ask Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) if she’ll consider allowing Carl to move back in, but she’s too busy ordering him around and shocks him when she tells him she’s meeting Natasha to see when she can go back to work. He’s taken aback when she tells him she’s starting at work the next day and needs him to be a stay-at-home dad. Jimmy agrees on the basis that she allows Carl to move back in. How will Jimmy cope at home with baby while Nicola goes to work?

At the party, Gennie (Sian Reese Williams) is desperate for Jamie (Alex Carter) to make a move on her and Katie and Ryan kiss.

Thursday 3 September (1)

Mark (Maxwell Caulfield) and Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) continue to clash and feeling reckless Nathan goes to a business do and drowns his sorrows. As he leaves the event drunk, another guest mistakes him for a valet and gives him the keys to his Porsche. Too drunk to drive, he calls Ryan to pick him up and lets an excited Ryan assume the car belongs to him and drive it home. When they arrive back in the village Nathan admits to a horrified Ryan, that the car is stolen. How will Ryan get rid of the car?

Meanwhile, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) tries to sneak out of Pear Tree Cottage but is mortified to be caught by Edna (Shirley Stelfox), Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) and Jimmy (Nick Miles). She’s relieved that Aaron doesn’t suspect her after her night with Carl (Tom Lister) and confides in Katie (Sammy Winward) how upset she is and how stupid she feels. Chas is determined not to hurt Paddy, but how will she stop him finding out?

Elsewhere, rivalry between the two cricket teams continues to build and when Sally (Sian Reeves) and Vincent (Antony Byrne) arrive and belittle their plans for the tournament Ashley (John Middleton) and Vincent end up in a full scale row. The bishop arrives and witnessing the argument he decides to swap the teams round so that Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) is with Vincent and Sally is with Ashley!

Michael (Jamie Belman) arrives at the garage to apologise to Debbie (Charley Webb) who refuses to forgive him but agrees to let him buy her lunch at the café. Will he win her over?

Nicola isn’t much use at work and spends most of the day worrying about Jimmy looking after Angelica. Torn between work and home, she’s worried that Holly (Sophie Powles) is going to take her job.

Thursday 3 September (2)

Ryan (James Sutton) pulls up to the garage in the stolen sports car and feeling desperate he asks for Cain’s (Jeff Hordley) help and he agrees to take control of the situation, much to Ryan’s relief. Later, Cain arrives at Home Farm and tells Nathan he needs £5000 to get rid of the car. Nathan reluctantly agrees and asks Mark (Maxwell Caulfield) for the money. When he refuses, Nathan threatens to tell Will (Oscar Lloyd) about his affair and a worried Mark is forced to acquiesce. In the pub, Nathan gives Cain the money and warns him not to come asking for more. Cain quickly puts him in his place warning him never to speak to him like that again and if he needs more money he’ll ask for it. Nathan knows he’s out of his league. Will he regret getting involved with Cain?

Chas (Lucy Pargeter) tells Carl (Tom Lister) that the other night was a one off and it won’t be happening again - they need to forget about it. However, when Carl questions if she’ll be able to forget about it – she knows he’s right. Later, he arrives at the surgery and Chas reiterates that he’s wasting his time – she’s with Paddy and just because he’s single it doesn’t mean she’s suddenly available to him. She feels guilty about betraying Paddy and pleads with him not to barge his way back into her life, she’s moved on and she’s happy. Carl persists and tells her just because he can’t have her, doesn’t mean he stops wanting her. Will Carl let Chas forget him?

Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) is forced to go and meet her new team mates with Vincent (Antony Byrne), while Ashley (John Middleton) is left feeling uncomfortable with Sally (Sian Reeves). He agrees to have a drink with her in the pub, but makes his excuses as soon as possible to leave! How long can he continue to avoid Sally?

After a nice afternoon together, Debbie (Charley Webb) is puzzled when she makes it clear to Michael (Jamie Belman) that she’s all his and tries to lead him to the bedroom and he makes excuses to leave. What is holding Michael back?

Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) decides to take the baby to work, not trusting Jimmy (Nick Miles) to look after her.

Friday 4 September

Faye grows suspicious of Ryan and Cain’s deal.

Cain (Jeff Hordley) can see that Debbie (Charley Webb) is smitten with Michael (Jamie Belman) and warns her not to get too serious with him. However, Debbie doesn’t want to listen and asks Chas (Lucy Pargeter) to babysit for Sarah as she’s invited him over for dinner. That evening, they’re enjoying a romantic night in until Debbie tries to kiss him and he pulls away. She demands to know what his problem is and she’s stunned when he reveals he’s seeing another woman. He tries to appease her and explains he just wants to be honest with her and do the right thing, but Debbie is furious and orders him to get out. Is it over between Debbie and Michael?

Mark (Maxwell Caulfield) is shocked when Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) admits he’s paid Cain to get rid of a car he stole and is exasperated when he still refuses to be civil towards him. Meanwhile, Cain (Jeff Hordley) arrives at Ryan’s (James Sutton) and gives him the £5000 telling him it’s his cut of the deal. Ryan hesitantly accepts the money but when Faye (Kim Thompson) walks in and sees Cain handing him an envelope she’s suspicious about what’s going on between them. Faye (Kim Thompson) is concerned that Ryan (James Sutton) is on edge and doesn’t seem himself and starts searches through his things until she finds the wad of money. Furious, she confronts Cain, gives him back the cash, and tells him she doesn’t want Ryan getting involved in criminal activity. She’s firm as she states that from now on Ryan is not working at the garage and orders Cain to stay away from him. How will Ryan feel when he discovers Faye has put an end to his job at the garage?

Elsewhere, Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) is getting annoyed that cricket is taking over and they have to go practice instead of spending the evening together. Meanwhile, the rivalry grows between Ashley (John Middleton) and Vincent (Antony Byrne). Laurel’s dreading having to spend time with Vincent, and Sally (Sian Reeves) feels bad for Ashley when no one shows up for cricket practice. They meet in the pub later and as Vincent boasts about his successful session with the team, Sally surprises Ashley when she lies to her husband that their training went very well too.

Marlon (Mark Charnock) calls in sick and Moira (Natalie J Robb) steps up and takes over as chef for the evening. However, Marlon’s horrified when he finally drags himself to work to find Moira is in his kitchen cooking food that isn’t on his menu.

Nathan is a plank :angry:Not only as a person but as an actor as well. How much I would like to see him getting a good kicking fro Cain or Debbie in fact anybody

you'd think the writers would have waited a bit longer before chas and carl fell back into bed. poor paddy he is going to be heartbroken.
