Sorry if this topic has been discussed already- just I was on myspace and reading through a topic in a LGBT group and it stated that Lady Gaga is a hermaphrodite

She was supposed to of given an interview where she stated:
It’s not something that I’m ashamed of, just isn’t something that I go around telling everyone. Yes. I have both male and female genitalia, but I consider myself a female. It’s just a little bit of a penis and really doesn’t interfere much with my life. The reason I haven’t talked about it is that it’s not a big deal to me. Like come on. It’s not like we all go around talking about our vags. I think this is a great opportunity to make other multiple gendered people feel more comfortable with their bodies. I’m sexy, I’m hot. I have both a poon and a peener. Big f*cking deal.
I can't say I am bothered by this or not ot think any less of her as a person. just not something I have ever heard of before!
Reminds me of that South Park episode where Cartman's dad is his mum.
I'm surprised nobody has given an interview before now saying she was a hermaphrodite.

Then I saw this unflattering picture of her in the position she is in and you can't really tell I don't think.

A person can be both sexes. She obviously has male genitalia and female bone structure and secondary sexual characteristics (breasts).
Hermaphroditism is extremely rare. Often the baby has surgery to change the genitalia from one sex to another, depending on what the parents agree on and what sex the baby is physically closest to.

Katy Perry has spoken out about speculation Lady Gaga is a hermaphrodite - insisting the singer fuelled the rumours on purpose.
Internet footage of the Poker Face singer onstage earlier this year sparked fresh debate as to whether or not the hitmaker has both female and male reproductive organs - because a bulge could clearly be seen.
Gossip website HollyScoop.com also reported that Gaga actually addressed the rumours of her sexuality with a blog entry at Christmas.
The website claims the singer wrote, "It's not something that I'm ashamed of, just isn't something that i go around telling everyone. Yes. I have both male and female genitalia, but i consider myself a female."
The singer has since slammed the rumours as "ridiculous", but Perry is convinced Lady GaGa purposefully made it look like she had a bulge in order to garner more publicity.
Perry has reportedly told the Mirror newspaper, "It's all very calculated. She knows what she's doing. She put something in her knickers, a mini strap-on (sex toy). Bless her if she does have a d**k, but I am certain she doesn't."

Adam's apple develops at puberty when the voice breaks so if she had more female hormones than male (i.e. more oestrogen than testosterone), the adam's apple wouldn't be present.

Her music is fab and her image is just so unique in some ways I have no interest in what is inside her pants just as long as she keeps making good music and cool videos
i have a suspicion that this all might be PR Hype, and she's actually wearing a strap on or something just to be controversial. if she does happen to be a hermaphrodite then fair enough, and as a few have said, it really doesnt matter. she is still amazing, and she produces the most fantastic music, so it really does matter what she is.

Thanks nice to have someone agree with me. I think it could be PR hype as her image is all hype and made to be shocking to the public it probably is a strap on and not part of her anatomy. I won't like her any less whatever the outcome is.

Lady GaGa has addressed rumours that she is a hermaphrodite during an interview on Australian radio.
The pop diva sparked a flurry of gossip and speculation after footage of her recent performance at Glastonbury appeared to show a bump in her crotch.
Speaking to Brisbane radio station Nova, GaGa said she wasn't offended by the rumours, but that her vagina was.
"My beautiful vagina is very offended," she told radio hosts Meshel, Ash and Tim when asked about the rumours. "I'm not offended - my vagina is offended."
The 23-year-old 'Poker Face' singer went on to blame the rumours on "society's reaction to a strong woman - the idea that we equate strength with man and a penis as a symbol of male strength".
Earlier in the week, Lady GaGa abruptly ended a phone interview with another Australian radio station SAFM after breakfast hosts Rabbit, Amber and Cosi cautiously broached the subject.
