:hmm: apologies if this has been explained before, but as a newbie I'm curious. I've read a couple and it seems to me they are trailers for future episodes, is this right? If so, what is their purpose? Is it for people who are perhaps going on holiday or just can,t wait for the next episode!! Just curious.

Yes, spoilers are little snippets of information as to what happens in upcoming episodes. Some people (like me) just can't wait for the next episode and have to know everything that happens.

Some spoilers, like those for The Bill, tell everything what happens in the episode whereas others are just a few clues.
