You must be one of the first on his round.
I don't think my postman at home even starts before 9am  We usually get post around 11am.

When I lived in Southampton the postman lived in the same block of flats and I had my mail at around 6 or 6.30 am. That is a long time ago now though :)

We used to get our early 7.30 or 8am and maybe a second post around 12 o'clock, that was when there was two deliveries a day now we're lucky if we see a postman before 1pm round our way.

at home we are lucky if our post comes before midday. its not uncommon for us to get it after 2pm! which is very annoying at times. in canterbury it seems to come a lot earlier though, at about 9.30am - 10am
usually between 10-11 these days but changes whenever we have a different postman. we used to get it at 2-3 somteims, which is disgusting. it should be on your doormat as your having breakfast before you go work incase theres stuff you need to take care of, what good is coming home at 6, seeing a letter and having to wait until following day to do anything about it.
i dont understand why the post men dont get up dead early to deliver, id rather get it out of the way and have the rest of the day to myself if i was a postman tbh.
one of our old postmen used to be friends with all the newsagents on our estate, you'd catch him in each of them sat down having a cup of tea! bag full of post by his side! cheeky git!

Today the postman came at 6pm - I have no idea why seems so odd :(
What is the point of that I thought post was suppose to come first thing like the morning paper not last thing at night

It was odd I was sitting here just watching TV and then all of a sudden I heard the letterbox go. I thought it was junk mail some pizza or restaurant flyer instead it was my postman. I even checked the clock to see if I wasn't seeing things but there was my postman strolling down the round doing is round at 6pm!

Thank god I'm not waiting for anything important or I would complain. I bet when he does turn up I will have a bill in the post as no news is ever good news

we often have important things we are waiting for, like bills which should arrive and my dad needs to pay that day before we go on hols or something. our postman also regularly puts the wrong post through our doors!

I still get post from the previous person that lived her years ago no matter how many times I write on the envelope ' addressee unknown' I still get something for her!

we are getting that with our new flat but its for loads of people who didnt even live there last! we get letters for people who live in other streets and at other houses in our road even though the letters are clearly marked with their address the postman decides to put them through our door instead! weve had our next door neighbours bank statements and everything!

That is worrying. I'm concerned about my own post as I wonder how many of letters that were meant for me have ended up my neighbours doormats!
ours depends if its the woman postie or man postie, if its the woman about 9 10 oclock, but if its the man its often after 1 in the afternoon. Never get it before we go to work, school etc.

and more worryingly is that weve complained about it so many times, as have other people in our road, and they dont seem to care! surely they should be more concerned that letters regularly get put through the wrong doors?!

They should be concerned especially at a time where identity fraud is kind of high!
