Soon she will have no time to perform in Girls Aloud if she sits on any more juding panels
if this is true, it will eithe mean Girls Aloud break it in America, or they break up for good.

Simon Cowell has asked Louis Walsh to appear on the planned US version of The X Factor, according to a report.
The music mogul hopes that Walsh will agree to join the judging panel alongside Cheryl Cole when the show goes ahead next year, The Sun claims.
News of Cowell's US plans first hit the headlines yesterday with rumours that he had approached Girls Aloud star Cole for the series.
An insider revealed: "Simon is really keen on bringing The X Factor to America as it has been such a hit in the UK. And he is convinced that the Yanks will love Cheryl and Louis.
"He's made no secret of the fact that he wants to expand his TV interests around the world and this is one of the first big ideas he's got. It's early days but he hopes to get it on air next year."
Walsh has appeared in every series of The X Factor since its British debut in 2004. Meanwhile, Cole joined the show last year as a replacement for Sharon Osbourne, who quit amid rumours of a salary dispute.
:cheer: Loves Louis

Shouldnt Simon get American judges for this show or people who about the American Music Scene and American Market?
Cheryl is successful in a girlband in the UK only and none of Louis's acts have cracked the US
Thats what I think, I mean then the contestants and viewers will complain that they are pretty much unknowns to them, and yeah the market thing too
Cheryl Cole’s bid for stardom in the States has hit a stumbling block – they can’t understand her Geordie accent.
The Girls Aloud singer has been hand-picked by Simon Cowell to front a US version of X Factor.
Now American TV bosses – worried that Stateside audiences will not be able to understand her – are to screen X Factor tapes to US focus groups to see how big a problem it is.
It is likely Cheryl will be given elocution lessons to smooth the harder edges of her North East tones.
NBC executives jetted to Manchester to watch the Newcastle-born 26-year-old in action at the live auditions last weekend.
They loved her presence and down-to-earth charm – but couldn’t work out what she was saying.
A source said: “They were bowled over by Cheryl and thought she was sassy, smart, charismatic and beautiful. There was just one small problem – they couldn’t make head nor tail of her Geordie accent.
“She was at her best at the weekend – witty, empathetic and really encouraging to some of the acts.
“But while her accent isn’t that thick, the Americans really seemed to struggle with it.
“Simon jokingly offered to pay for elocution lessons for her but, seriously, that may be the route she has to take if she is really considering breaking into television over there.”
TV chiefs have now taken copies of last year’s show back to America with them.
They will play them to test audiences to see how well Cheryl goes down with the US public – and if they can understand her.
Simon, 49, is understood to be close to signing a deal for an American version of X Factor.
The multi-millionaire desperately wants Cheryl to front it, but she is tied into a contract with record label Universal and faces a clash of commitments.
When Geordie duo Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly filmed game show Wanna Bet in America, US bosses were so worried their accents would stump viewers they hired an interpreter.
The specialist listened on headphones and alerted producers by hitting a button if he heard something he did not understand.
Dec, 33 – born and bred in Newcastle, like Ant, also 33 – said their pronunciation of “our” proved trickiest for Americans.
But he insisted: “They weren’t completely in the dark – it only happened about twice in six shows.”

Somehow i dont think the idea of x factor over there will work. not if the judges are all british.

Simon Cowell is even closer to signing a deal to take The X Factor to America, according to sources in the US.
The X Factor creator is said to be in talks with TV network Fox over a deal worth £30million a year.
Simon, who is open about his stateside ambitions, may not feature on the judging panel, instead choosing to produce the series from behind the cameras.
The 49-year-old reportedly wants Cheryl Cole on the US panel, along with former American Idol judge Paula Abdul and boy band extraordinaire Louis Walsh.
The negotiations with Fox are also said to include Simon signing on for two more series as a judge on American Idol.
I don't understand how Simon can do X Factor and American Idol at the same time.
At the moment, because X Factor (UK) and AI run at the same time, he has to fly to LA during the week to film AI on a Tuesday and Wednesday then fly back on a weekend to do XF.
He apparently indicated once that he might quit X Factor UK to enable him to do both American shows but I don't know how true that is.

Simon Cowell is taking X Factor to the US after hammering out a £65million deal with Fox TV, it was revealed last night.
Louis Walsh, Cheryl Cole and former American Idol judge Paula Abdul are in the running for the series which Cowell will produce but not star in.
He landed the big-money contract to export the hit ITV show as part of his latest American Idol deal, which struggling Fox has been desperate to renew for a further two years. An insider said: “Simon knew how much they needed him for Idol but there was no deal until they agreed to do X Factor.
“It’s been a long hard slog but we got there.”
Last night Cowell’s spokesman Max Clifford wanted to play down speculation. He said: “No deal has yet been done.” But it is thought Cowell will officially announce the deal to close friends at a party next Saturday for his 50th birthday, which is on October 7.
He earns at least £35million a series for American Idol and it is understood he will earn more than £30million for X Factor.
A source told the Mirror: “The deal has been virtually done for the last two weeks but there are still a couple of loose ends that need to be tied up.
“There has been lots of to-ing and fro-ing but things are pretty much there.”
Dermot O'Leary is apparently being considered to host the US version of The X Factor.
Simon Cowell has reportedly recommended the presenter to bosses at the Fox network, which is developing the show.
O'Leary told the News of the World that he would love to be in the running, although he added that he is focusing all his energy on the UK programme at the moment.
"Obviously I'd love to be considered and work with Simon in the States, but at the moment I'm concentrating on nailing the X this side of the pond. I'm absolutely loving the show and my job, I'm having a blast," he said.
An insider added: "It's a big gamble for Fox because Dermot's unknown in the States. But he comes across as very likeable and he has that common touch, which will definitely appeal to US audiences.
"If the show's a hit, which it will be, he could become a massive star."

Simon Cowell and his business partner Sir Philip Green are reportedly planning to take The X Factor to Las Vegas.
The men told GQ that an international format of the reality talent contest could be available to view on pay-per-view internet TV.
Sir Philip said: "The plan is to take it to Vegas, I'm not going to tell you with who, but the CEO of the venue is coming to see us next week.
"We'll have a permanent place, likely to be Caesar's Palace. The home of X Factor - live from Las Vegas! We'll have a store. And it'll all be online. You have 20, 30, 40 million people tuning in twice a week.
"You bring two or three hundred million viewers to a venue - off we go! It's taking it up a peg. The rest of the world is Part Two."
Cowell added: "I like the model of what Bernie Ecclestone has done [with Formula 1]. The Singapore race is as good as the French race is as good as the English race."

SIMON Cowell will quit American Idol at the end of next season, the star's brother claimed last night.
Tony Cowell - who hosts a weekly radio broadcast called Fame Game - said the judge will instead work on creating a US version of The X Factor.
Tony blurted out the claim in a podcast of his show which was later removed.
He said: "Meanwhile, Simon prepares for a new season of 'Idol,' or should I say his last season of 'Idol' - OK, I will say it, because it is.
"As I sit here in the sunny Caribbean with my family, a press statement is being prepared which will confirm what everyone expected - Simon will leave 'Idol' at the end of 2010 to concentrate on bringing the American version of 'The X Factor' to US TV in 2011."
The 59-year-old is said to be very close to brother Simon, 50, and co-wrote his memoirs.
His remarks add to rumours that he is about to quit the runaway TV hit, that debuted in the US in June 2002 on the Fox network.
A spokeswoman for Cowell - who is on holiday in Barbados - and the network Fox both declined to comment.

Simon Cowell has suggested that Paula Abdul may join him on the judging panel for the US version of The X Factor.
Earlier today it was confirmed that Cowell is stepping down from American Idol to concentrate on the new series, which will launch on Fox in 2011. Abdul was a judge on Idol for eight seasons but quit last year in a dispute over pay.
Asked whether Abdul could be part of The X Factor, Cowell replied: "I've gone on record, I adore Paula. Whatever happens, I will be working with her in some capacity because I miss her. You're just going to have to watch this space."
Cowell added that an announcement of the judging panel would be made "fairly soon".
UK judge Cheryl Cole has been widely tipped to be a judge on the US version, while UK host Dermot O'Leary is in consideration for the same position in the US.

ITV1 is concerned that Simon Cowell's deal with Fox for a US X Factor will have a huge impact on its schedules, reports The Mirror.
Fox is apparently insisting that the US X Factor air in the autumn, meaning that the British version could shift to the first half of the year.
"[Cowell] wants to stay making X Factor in the UK as well as his American deal but he can't be in two places at once," a source close to Cowell said.
Such a change would most likely see ITV1's Dancing On Ice and Britain's Got Talent airing months later than usual as well.
It is being speculated that X Factor UK host Dermot O'Leary and judge Cheryl Cole will move across to the forthcoming US version, to air in 2011.

Simon Cowell has secretly approached Victoria Beckham to discuss making her a judge on American X Factor – with the lure of a $1million-a-show deal.
X Factor’s acid-tongued boss phoned the former Spice Girl offering her a handful of dates, with a view to securing her on a permanent basis.
Victoria made her debut as a guest judge on rival US show American Idol on Tuesday night and Simon, 50, who is leaving his slot as a judge on Idol, is keen to build her popularity with American viewers.
He left messages for the singer-turned-designer wife of footballer David on Sunday night, before they finally spoke on Tuesday.
Simon offered four dates in which she could feature as a guest panellist. The news will come as a bombshell to Victoria’s management, headed by Simon Fuller – the man behind Idol. A TV source said: “Simon was trying to get hold of Victoria for a few days, keen to suggest a few X Factor dates.
“When they did finally speak, she was incredibly flattered, not to mention surprised.
“Money was not discussed but as American TV judges go, the minimum she would be on in a four-show deal is $4million.
“However, if she was to become a permanent fixture, she could earn tens of millions.
“Victoria told Simon she needs time to think about it as she is so busy with her fashion work right now.
“Looking at her hectic schedule, some of the dates mooted could be problematic as David is away, so she wants to work from home and look after the kids.
“But Simon is incredibly charming so who knows. They did have a long conversation and although Victoria thinks she will be too manic to commit, she loved her time on the Idol panel.” The pair even had a tongue-in-cheek, on-screen bust-up in the opening episode of Fuller’s American Idol reality programme.
After the multi-millionaire mogul berated a contestant for being “very dull”, Victoria asked him: “Why do you do that?”
Cowell queried: “Do what?” and she replied: “That thing where you roll your eyes. It takes so much nerve to stand there and do that.”
Her appearance as a guest panellist prompted mixed reaction from US audiences.
While some viewers criticised her slender frame and “bony physique”, others praised her judging debut.
One gushed: “She was awesome – let’s see more, more, more of Ms Beckham.”
If Victoria, 35, does agree to appear on the X Factor, due to start in the autumn, it would be sure to wind-up 19 management boss Fuller.
Already reeling that Cowell has quit his talent show, last night it emerged he was robbed of £100,000 worth of jewellery and cash while on holiday in Uruguay.
well i watched half an hour of American Idol with her as a guest judge last night and she contributed very little, so i think that would be a big waste of money if you ask me! She has the charisma of a cockroach!
All she said was 'nice' several times.
What a ****ing pouting talentless bitch. As for those skinny arms - ewwwww
She did tell Simon off for rolling his eyes when she disagreeed with him about the guy being boring!!!
Talent show honcho Simon Cowell has reportedly offered Posh Spice Victoria Beckham a $1million-a-show deal to judge The X Factor, when he launches the show in the US next year. This comes despite Victoria's wobbly start in American TV; her appearance as a guest judge on American Idol - the show Cowell has left to launch X Factor - wasn't especially well received by critics after it aired in the states on Tuesday night.
A source revealed that: "Simon was trying to get hold of Victoria for a few days, keen to suggest a few 'X Factor' dates. When they did finally speak, she was incredibly flattered, not to mention surprised. "
However, if Posh does succumb to Cowell's infamous charms and sign up, she wouldn't be too popular with her management company - headed by Simon Fuller, who just happens to be the creator of American Idol.
i really hope this doesnt happen
Posh really doesnt do much on American Idol
Rodney Jerkins could replace Simon Cowell on American Idol, reports say.
Earlier this week, Cowell announced that he will be leaving the show to focus on an American version of The X Factor.
The New York Post has now claimed that Rodney Jerkins could take Cowell's place.
The producer, who has worked with artists including Beyoncé, Lady GaGa, Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears, reportedly impressed producers when he appeared as a judge on the MTV show Starmakers.
Meanwhile, a source described Jenkins as "very Simon-esque".
However, representatives for Jenkins and American Idol did not comment on the speculation.

Piers Morgan has revealed that he would like to be a judge on the US version of The X Factor.
The former newspaper editor already works with show boss Simon Cowell on Britain's Got Talent, but has not yet appeared on an American programme with the music mogul.
Morgan told The Sun: "I would love to work with Simon on it as we have a laugh on Britain's Got Talent. I give him quite a lot of stick and he quite likes it. Americans would find it hysterical."
He added: "The X Factor in America will be huge."
The America's Got Talent panellist also confirmed that he would accept a position as Cowell's replacement on the next season of American Idol.
Morgan said: "If I was offered that job you wouldn't say no. It is a job everyone wants."
DS
Simon Cowell has confirmed that the US version of The X Factor will begin towards the end of 2011.
There had previously been speculation that Fox would shift American Idol to the Fall to make room for Cowell's new show in January 2011.
Scheduling the new variant of The X Factor in September means that Cowell will simultaneously work on both the UK and US series.
DS
Ant & Dec have revealed that they would consider working with Simon Cowell on the US X Factor.
The Saturday Night Takeaway duo claimed that they are very busy working on projects for ITV, but would not rule out the prospect of working on the reality show.
"If [Simon] was to call us up and ask us then we would have to look at it," Ant told Metro.
"We've just signed to ITV for another two years so physically I don't know if we could. [But] it would be an amazing adventure."
Ant & Dec's last US TV show Wanna Bet? was axed by ABC following poor ratings for the first series. The pair have previously worked with Cowell on Britain's Got Talent and Pop Idol.
Other stars linked to the US X Factor, which will launch in late 2011, are Paula Abdul, Sinitta, Cheryl Cole, Amanda Holden, Dermot O'Leary, Beyoncé and Megan Fox.
DS
Simon Cowell has asked Lady GaGa to join the US version of The X Factor, a report claims.
According to The Sun, the music mogul would like GaGa to be a judge on the forthcoming talent series, which will launch on Fox towards the end of 2011.
However, it is thought that the 'Bad Romance' star would be too busy to commit to the show every week, meaning that another role for the singer is also possible.
A source said: "Simon thinks Lady GaGa is great and really likes her energy. Conversations have been happening between Cowell's US team and her people about what kind of role she could have on the show."
GaGa performed on the UK version of The X Factor last year after being approached by Cowell.
DS
Dermot O'Leary is to enter talks to front the US version of The X Factor, a report has claimed.
The TV host, who already presents the UK show on ITV1, is in Los Angeles ahead of a meeting to discuss his possible involvement in the programme, according to The Sun.
O'Leary is expected to this week meet Cecile Frot-Coutaz, who is the chief executive of show producers FremantleMedia.
A source said: "Dermot is really trying to crack the States and hosting The X Factor is the obvious answer. He's been in LA getting his face about all week and has even done some filming for Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen USA to get exposure.
"He's also got Simon Cowell bigging him up so things look good."
The US version of The X Factor will launch on Fox towards the end of 2011. O'Leary has been tipped to present the series for some time.

Simon Cowell has reportedly suggested that he wants Cheryl Cole to appear on the US version of The X Factor.
According to the Daily Star, Cowell has already assured the Girls Aloud singer that she has a place on the show.
"I'd love to have Cheryl on the show," he said. "We have a great chemistry."
Cowell reportedly winked when he was asked if she was guaranteed a place as a judge, adding: "Cheryl's a natural star. People can't help but warm to her."
He also revealed that he is supporting Cole since her split from husband Ashley, but said: "Cheryl's a tough cookie. She'll be fine."
Sources have claimed that Cole is planning to accept the offer and is now arranging for a divorce from her former husband.
"Simon thinks America will fall in love with Cheryl, just like Britain has," an insider said. "She has a unique talent for winning everybody over. She gets involved emotionally with her acts, whereas the other judges don't. She is incredibly passionate, genuine and caring and he knows he needs a judge like that on the line-up."
The source continued: "Simon also loves that Cheryl isn't afraid to stand up to him on the show. He knows their banter will be a massive hit with American audiences. Not only does he want her on American X Factor but he wants her to be sat on the much sought-after seat directly next to him. Cheryl has told Ashley. Now they are working out what to do."
Meanwhile, Cowell also revealed that he has abandoned the idea of having five judges in the next series of The X Factor.
"There will be four judges on both the British and American X Factors," he explained. "There won't be a fifth judge this time."

Cheryl Cole might be feeling down in the dumps at the moment but thanks to her friend, Simon Cowell, she may soon have something very big to smile about. According to The Daily Mirror Simon wants to take the singer to America to judge on their X Factor and is paying her a huge $2.2m for her judging ability. He told the paper, ‘I took more of a gamble taking Piers Morgan to the States. Cheryl will be loved immediately. We've got to nail her. She’d be great over here – Cheryl’s a star.’
Sinitta has claimed that she will appear on the US version of The X Factor.
According to The Sun, the 'So Macho' singer revealed that Simon Cowell has already promised her a job on the show.
"I told him that I want to and he said, 'It shouldn't be a problem'," she explained.
Current X Factor judge Cheryl Cole recently said that she would consider appearing on the show but is worried that Americans will not be able to understand her "weird accent".
However, Sinitta suggested that she should "take elocution lessons".
Hilary Duff has revealed that she is interested in being a judge on the American version of The X Factor .
The 22-year-old, who has been rumoured to have been offered a judging role on the Simon Cowell show, has insisted that she would love to team up with the music mogul when he launches the US show.
Duff told The Ellen DeGeneres Show : "I would totally do it."
As for having any reservations judging contestants, she added: "It's got to be hard to judge people to their face."

Louis Walsh is reportedly currently the favourite choice of X Factor UK judges to move over to the US version of the show which starts next year. According to The Mirror, Cheryl Cole’s accent created problems during test screenings in front of American audiences earlier this year, whilst Louis’ Irish connection makes him more appealing to the US market.
An ‘American source’ told the paper: “Everyone presumes Cheryl will get offered the job because she looks the part.
“She’s gorgeous and extremely camera-friendly and now has the working relationship with Will.I.Am which will help her break through in the States.
“But during test screenings they did struggle with her strong Geordie accent.”
Cheryl herself previously questioned whether she would be a good choice for the US version of the show, telling Fearne Cotton: “It is a really scary thing. Why would give a beep what I thought? Why would they give it to me? They don’t know me and I have got this weird accent!”
The source added: “They can relate to Louis more than Cheryl. They saw her as another pretty pop girl – and they have plenty of them already.
“It’s not like in the UK where she has grown to become the nation’s sweetheart. They don’t really know her back story yet.
“They won’t announce the presenters until nearer the time, but Louis is now well ahead in the race to win the seat.”
Louis Walsh himself previously ruled himself out of The X Factor USA last month.
Katy Perry has claimed that Cheryl Cole will join the American version of The X Factor.
According to MTV, the 'Fight For This Love' singer will quit her role on the UK show to join Simon Cowell in Los Angeles.
She said: "Simon absolutely adores her. I'm convinced he’ll be taking her to LA. She has all the star qualities."
It has been rumoured that the star, who spent time with Derek Hough in the US last year, will move permanently as soon as she finishes the seventh series of Britain's X Factor in December.

X-FACTOR USA is one of my favorite TV shows . . . a good way to pass time :-D
Katy Perry will reportedly be a full-time judge on the US version of The X Factor.
According to The Mirror, the 25-year-old will be given a salary of $340,000 (£220,000) a week to be on the show.
A source said: "Simon [Cowell] wants to get the judging names signed, sealed and announced within six weeks. He wants at least one massive American star, someone who is known globally, plus one Brit and at least one authoritative male.
"Katy was thrilled, especially by the package which is said to be a $340,000-a-show deal."
The insider also suggested that Cowell contemplated other famous American celebrities before deciding on Perry.
The source added: "Jennifer Lopez was a serious consideration as was her husband Marc Anthony. Mariah Carey's other half Nick Cannon is also in the frame.
"But Katy really came on Simon's radar after the Dublin auditions. She absolutely nailed it. She was a natural."
Nicole Scherzinger is further expected to be a judge on the show.
Piers Morgan has reportedly confirmed that Nicole Scherzinger and Cheryl Cole will appear on the US version of The X Factor.
Cole has long been tipped to take up a judging role on Simon Cowell's next American project. However, following Scherzinger's successful appearances on the UK X Factor, it was rumoured that the former Pussycat Doll could take Cole's place on the panel.
According to the News of the World, Morgan has announced that Cowell will offer both singers positions on the US X Factor when it starts in 2011.
He reportedly commented: "He'll love a couple of feisty brunettes fighting over him."

Simon Cowell has decided not to choose Cheryl Cole to be a judge on the US version of The X Factor, it has been claimed.
According to Heat, the show's boss has been convinced by producers at Fox that he must pick a celebrity for the reality talent contest who is already well known by Americans.
A source told the magazine: "Cheryl's gutted. She knows Simon really well and can sense when something's wrong. Last year he secretly told her that she was a definite for US judge. But now he's admitted that he can no longer make that firm commitment.
"The reality is, he's started to agree with the US bosses who say they simply don't 'get her'... He finds it difficult to fight her corner, especially when there are so many other elements he needs to focus on when launching the new show.
"There is just far too much at stake. Whenever her name came up in meetings, things became very heated. The bigwigs simply wouldn't get over Simon potentially jeopardising the success of the show by having a celebrity unknown to the American public, instead of the likes of the super-famous Mariah Carey, who is their preferred choice."
The alleged insider added: "People have not been convinced that the US would fall in love with Cheryl, as Simon has repeatedly suggested.
"They have a massive respect for him and think he's a starmaker - he's made the likes of Piers Morgan a household name Stateside by making him a judge on America's Got Talent - but this different set of bosses don't want to take the risk.
"Simon has had his own reality check and is a businessman first and foremost. He's aware that his love for Cheryl, and his loyalty to her, is more about his heart than his head and not necessarily good business sense."

Simon Cowell has revealed that he will make a "surprise" announcement about the American version of The X Factor within the next month.
Speculation over who will form the US version's judging panel has been rife - with Cheryl Cole among the names rumoured.
Speaking to his ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour on Extra, Cowell teased: "I'm going to make an announcement within three or four weeks, which is going to tell everyone everything.
"There will be some surprises."
Asked if he could elaborate on any of the judges, he dropped one hint, telling Seymour: "Okay, one of the judges has quite long hair."
Cowell was awarded the 'International Emmy Founders Award' at a ceremony earlier this week in New York.

Simon Cowell has reportedly decided to feature Will Smith's daughter Willow as a guest judge on the first series of the American X Factor.
The Mirror claims that Cowell wants to create a 'storm of publicity' during the promotional period for the talent competition, and thinks 10-year-old Willow would certainly create buzz for the show.
If selected, Willow would be the youngest-ever judge to appear on any version of The X Factor worldwide.
The schoolgirl reached number 11 on the US charts with her debut single 'Whip My Hair', and this success, along with her "star quality" is what apparently attracted Cowell to the rising star.
A source close to Cowell said: "Simon is determined to make US X Factor a complete triumph and he's going to pull out all the stops to make sure that happens. Willow is big in the States at the moment and Simon knows people will be fascinated to see her take on the competition."
It is said that Cowell called the youngest daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith "amazingly mature for her age" after hearing her interviewed.
US X Factor begins September 2011 on Fox.
MUSIC mogul Simon Cowell will launch Cheryl Cole in America after signing her as a judge on the US X Factor.
He has ended speculation by telling the Girls Aloud beauty she will be on the panel when he takes the show to the States.
Cheryl, 27, was over the moon when he told her the news on Saturday night backstage at the X Factor studios in Wembley, north-west London.
And she will put pen to paper this week on a contract rumoured to be worth £1.5million a year.
Who will join the pair on the panel is still a secret but Simon says he will make an announcement after the final of the UK version of The X Factor next month.
It is a massive boost for Cheryl, who has had a turbulent year following her bitter divorce from Ashley Cole, 29, and a battle with malaria.
Simon, 51, believes Cheryl can be a huge hit with the Yanks and has convinced network executives to let him include her on the show.
But bosses have warned her she needs to come out “all guns blazing” because American audiences will not have a clue who she is.
So Cheryl is planning a major assault on the US.
She will launch her solo music career Stateside after signing a £6m record deal with Universal this summer.
And Simon, who has become one of the most famous men on American TV, will help by taking her on a range of high-ratings chat shows.
One insider said: “At the end of the day, no-one knew who Simon was when he started work on American Idol and look what happened.
“Simon knows the public will absolutely love Cheryl.
“She certainly looks the part and, to be honest, everyone thinks Simon would quite like having a friendly face next to him on the panel.”
Cheryl has already started house hunting with the help of her close pal Derek Hough, 25.
She is planning to make the dancer a member of her team on the show because of his creative skills.
And it helps that he is a firm favourite with TV fans in America having won their version of Strictly Come Dancing three years in a row.
A pal of Cheryl said the news was a dream come true for her.
A friend said: “She couldn’t wipe the smile off her face when Simon told her.
“It suits her down to the ground because it means she can spend half the year in America and half the year in Britain.
“She’s fallen in love with life in Los Angeles, but has always said that her heart belongs to Britain.”
Last night Cheryl’s spokesman said he had no comment about her TV deal. An X Factor spokesman said: “No decision has been made yet.”
Cheryl Cole has been chosen to judge the US version of The X Factor, it has been reported.
Cole is said to have been offered a one-year contract worth £3 million by Fox executives, who were in Britain to watch this weekend's live shows.
A source told The Sun: "She has really charmed the American execs. They love her good looks and the way she wears her heart on her sleeve. And of course her chemistry with Simon [Cowell] played a huge part in it. They are great together."
Bosses at Universal - who Cole signed a record contract with earlier this month - are apparently keen to release Cole's second album Messy Little Raindrops in America to coincide with her role on the US X Factor judging panel.
"When Cheryl goes to America she will also launch her music career there too," an insider told the Daily Mail.
‘"It's the next part of her big plan, she's an incredibly hard worker and she will definitely get a boost by appearing on The X Factor, which is set to be a sure-fire hit."
Last week, Cowell promised that there will be "some surprises" when full details of the US X Factor are eventually announced.

Cheryl Cole’s American dream may be scuppered - as a result of an assault conviction seven years ago.
The Daily Mail told yesterday how Mrs Cole had landed a place on the judging panel of the U.S. version of the X Factor in a deal worth up to £3million.
However, now Mrs Cole’s American dream may be jeopardised by her conviction for assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH) in 2003.
U.S. law states that all convictions - indeed, all arrests - have to be disclosed on visa application forms.
Some less serious offences may not affect work visas.
‘If the conviction is for something that triggers ineligibility the person would have to appeal for a waive,' she said.
Miss McFadden added that her firm had been instructed by the U.S. embassy that with regards to more serious crimes it would depend on ‘facts regarding the conviction' before a decision is made.
However, she said this can lead to 'permanently ineligibility' from being allowed a U.S. work visa in certain cases.

Nicole Scherzinger is to be offered a spot on the judging panel of the US X Factor, according to sources.
The 'Poison' singer has long been linked with a role on the talent show following a successful stint standing in for judge Dannii Minogue on the UK version.
Cheryl Cole's reported deal to join Fox's X Factor appeared to cast doubt on whether there would also be a place for Scherzinger, but it appears that the Pussycat Doll is still wanted by producers.
A source told The Sun: "The US team want both women going up against each other."
The paper also reports that Mariah Carey was being considered for a judge's role, but is now likely to miss out due to her pregnancy.
Scherzinger recently admitted that she would consider an offer to join the show.

So there's going to be 4 acts in the final. What a surprise imagine Mr Cowell using dirty tactics to have Cher-L or One Direction in the final. Rumour is that Matt and Mary may miss the semi due to ill health. Ms Cole and Mr Cowell must be making voodoo dolls.

Simon Cowell has reportedly decided that Dermot O'Leary will not be hosting the US version of X Factor, opting for bland teen coulple Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens to helm the hotly anticipated show.
The move, which is sure to come as a blow to Dermot, is said to be motivated by Cowell not wanting too many Brits on the show. With himself and Cheryl Cole (who signed a deal to star on the show last week) Cowell felt that three British people would be too many.
A source close to Cowell told News Of The World: "He is a fan of Dermot and thinks he's done a good job with the show in the UK.
"But there could only be Simon and an absolute maximum of one other Brit on the show. He wants that Brit to be Cheryl.
"Dermot will be completely distraught. He spent months in America lobbying to get this job. He held out a lot of hope.
"But he can't compete with Zac and Vanessa. They are two of the biggest stars in the States and will make American X Factor the biggest show in the world."

Will Smith and Nicole Scherzinger will reportedly judge the US version of X Factor, reports claim.
The actor and rapper is said to have been signed by Simon Cowell along with the former Pussycat Doll and Cheryl Cole as the show's "core" judges, The People reports.
A fifth guest judge will also appear each week, with Mariah Carey, Jon Bon Jovi, Zac Efron and George Michael rumoured to be filling the slots.
A source said: "Simon wants to keep it fresh and have a different judge every week. He's over the moon with his three core judges, and himself of course.
"But he wants some big names to do guest appearances. He has spoken to several stars and they have bitten his hand off to appear."
It was recently claimed that Smith's 10-year-old daughter Willow - who is on course to top the UK singles chart this Sunday - will also feature as a guest on the judging panel.
SIMON COWELL really means business in his quest for new judges on American X Factor.
He has already tapped up ROLLING STONES lord MICK JAGGER and is now after NOEL GALLAGHER.
The ex-OASIS guitarist got a call last week with news of interest from bosses on X Factor USA.
Simon wants a huge name and securing the Manc's sharp-tongued services for next year's show would be a coup. X Factor fan Noel is mulling over the offer.
A source said: "Simon wants to go one better than American Idol, who have AEROSMITH frontman STEVE TYLER, and has set his heart on British rock 'n' roll royalty - with Noel and Mick top of his shopping list.
"Noel's manager met up for early talks and there is serious wedge on offer."
"Simon is a huge fan of Noel's songwriting and the no-nonsense attitude Oasis brought to Britpop in the Nineties. He'd be great to dish out feedback."
Feedback? It would be more like character assassinations for those inflated Yank egos.
Noel would be ideal but what would be his motivation? He has a young family and a mountain of solo material stored up for the grown-up stage of his career.
He has twice been asked for permission for an Oasis night on The X Factor and refused because the band - who had a No1 with The Importance Of Being Idle - were still on the road.
But he made a rumoured £50,000 when former X Factor winner LEONA LEWIS wrapped her lungs around their Stop Crying Your Heart Out for her second album Echo last year.
Now brother LIAM is busy with new band BEADY EYE and fashion label Pretty Green, the time may be right for Noel. Imagine WAGNER singing Vondervall? Priceless.
Meanwhile, MATT CARDLE won this year's X Factor but yesterday fellow finalists REBECCA FERGUSON and ONE DIRECTION were each promised record deals by Simon.
His plan for Rebecca is to one day get her on Bond theme duties. She definitely has the pipes. And he has vowed to make One Direction stars, too.

George Michael has reportedly signed to become a judge on the forthcoming US version of The X Factor.
The ex-Wham! singer, who was released from jail in October after serving half of an eight-week sentence for driving under the influence of drugs and possession of cannabis, has allegedly agreed a £1m deal to join Cheryl Cole on the panel.
A source told The Sun: "George is going to take the job. It's an amazing opportunity to get back in the limelight and reverse his recent bad spell. Simon [Cowell] knows that Americans love him. He is as big in the US as he is [in the UK].
"He is a true star and has the wit and experience for the job. It's the perfect platform to resurrect his career."
It is thought that show boss Cowell met with Michael at his house last month to talk about the role.

Simon Cowell has reportedly described Cheryl Cole as "perfect" for a judging role on the US version of The X Factor, according to the Daily Star.
However, American bosses are said to reluctant to secure her services, as she remains unknown in the US.
A source said: "Simon is clashing heads with US producers, who don't want Cheryl on board. Bosses are convinced the show needs big US stars to compete with the star-studded line-up of American Idol."
"The American public don't know who Cheryl is and just 'being a good friend of Simon's from some unknown girlband' isn't cutting it."
The Girls Aloud singer recently revealed that she has yet to sign a deal for the American version.

Simon Cowell has revealed that he will be making an announcement about the US version of The X Factor in "two weeks time".
The music mogul commented that the judging panels for both the Britsh and American versions of the show have not been set in stone, teasing that he has "surprises" in store for viewers.
"We are going to make an announcement soon," PA quotes him as saying. "We have to make sure all the shows will be back bigger, better, stronger, different. No-one has been contracted yet, apart from me."
However, he insisted that the US competition, due to launch later this year, will not damage its British counterpart.
"I've got some ideas and I'm trying to make a show I'd like to watch. It has got to be different, full stop," he said.
Speaking about Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue's future on the ITV show, he revealed: "They haven't been given a contract yet. We are in the process of going through all the shows. I think there are going to be a few surprises. I genuinely do. I don't think there's one set way of doing it... I am in conversations with ITV and Fox."
He added: "The most important thing is to make a commitment to the people who watch the shows and make sure they are better than last year's."
Cheryl Cole could feature on the US version of The X Factor as Simon Cowell's adviser if she fails to land a spot on the judging panel, according to a report.
Producers on the upcoming Fox reality show are believed to be reluctant to sign the Girls Aloud singer due to concerns that she is not an established star in America - even though Cowell is pushing for her inclusion.
It has now emerged that - should Cole fail to secure a role as a judge - Cowell is likely to bring the 27-year-old onto the show in the position usually filled by '80s popstar Sinitta on the UK original.
A source told The Sun: "Simon desperately wants Cheryl to be a judge but if that's knocked back by Fox chiefs the next option is to start her as a mentor.
"It would be a way to test how she's received in America. Plus viewers would be able to warm to her first, rather than having her thrust upon them by going straight on the panel."
Cowell recently teased fans that there would be an official announcement about the US X Factor in "two weeks' time".

Steve Jones has apparently claimed that he is one of the frontrunners to land the coveted presenting role on the US version of The X Factor.
The former T4 presenter was first linked with the job when it emerged last summer that he was on a shortlist of potential candidates. Jones later stated that he would "love" to be offered the opportunity to host the Fox reality show.
At the after party for the National Television Awards on Wednesday, Jones told The Sun: "I'm hearing good things. I don't want to jinx anything by thinking I've got it. One day I hear it's going my way, one day I'm less sure."
He added: "I'd love to do it, I really would."
The paper also claims that Jones is more likely to secure the deal than UK X Factor host Dermot O'Leary because he is considered by executives to be "better looking" - although both men could yet lose out to an American presenter who is more familiar to the US audience.
O'Leary recently revealed that he has made his pitch to producers, admitting: "There's not a lot more I can do."

Dermot O'Leary has reportedly made the shortlist for the presenting job on the American version of The X Factor.
The host is believed to be the only British name on the list of six drawn up by executives at Fox, The Mirror claims. Simon Cowell recently revealed that announcements are to be made within the coming weeks.
"Dermot is still in with a great chance of getting the biggest job of his life, but he is in the dark at the moment," a source told the paper. "He has made the shortlist but there is some pretty stiff competition from a host of big names in America."
They added: "A decision has not been made yet so Dermot has to wait like any other fan of the show."
O'Leary apparently faces competition from Extra presenter Mario Lopez, E!'s Jason Kennedy and actor Zac Efron.

Cheryl Cole has reportedly signed a deal worth around £10m to become a judge on the US version of The X Factor.
The Girls Aloud singer has been subject to much speculation over her place on the show, but Simon Cowell is said to have finally persuaded US TV executives to give her a slot on the panel.
"Simon is the boss of this show," a source told the News of the World. "He gets what he wants and he wants Cheryl. The money you make on American TV is huge, but there's also a huge risk.
"The way American contracts are gives Fox the chance to opt out if viewers don't take to her. But Simon won't let that happen."
Cole is expected to use the show as a springboard for a music career in America: "As soon as it's announced she's going to be a judge the plan will be to launch her music career in the States," the source added.
"It's important Americans realise she's a credible music star if she's going to be judging other singers."
Meanwhile, Cowell is now trying to arrange for both Cole and himself to star on the US and UK versions of the singing competition simultaneously.

The winner of The X Factor USA will secure a $5 million recording contract with Sony Music, it has been announced.
The official website for the upcoming Fox version of Simon Cowell's competition confirmed the news.
The show will allow anyone over the age of 12 to audition to become "America's next undiscovered superstar".
"I like the idea that a 12-year-old on this show can compete with an older singer and a singing group," Cowell said. "I've never believed there should be a cut-off age for talent, and we are going to put our money where our mouths are with the $5 million recording contract. I'm doing this show in America because I genuinely believe we can find a superstar."
The site also confirmed that auditions will be held "over the coming months", beginning in Los Angeles on March 27 and visiting cities including New York, Miami, Dallas, Seattle and Chicago.
An announcement about a presenter and the show's judging panel will be made "in the coming weeks".

Simon Cowell is considering whether to sign both Cheryl Cole and Nicole Scherzinger for The X Factor USA, according to a report.
Both singers have frequently been linked with a coveted place on the judging panel, but it was thought that the appointment of one would cause the other to miss out.
However, The Mirror claims that Cowell is now tempted to bring both popstars onto the panel in a bid to "juice up" the Fox reality show.
The paper also alleges that Cole was keen to ensure that Scherzinger would not be a fellow judge on the programme when she reportedly agreed a deal to join the series - a stipulation that is now thought to be in doubt.
A source said: "Cheryl's signed the deal, the Americans like her, but suddenly there's all this typical Cowell smoke and mirrors going on.
"She's been straight with Simon but suddenly people aren't returning her calls. She doesn't want to get into a put-up scrap with Nicole with Simon playing the puppet master."
Yesterday, Cowell insisted that the show's producers have not yet made up their mind about the final lineup of judges.
How will anyone in the US understand Cheryl's accent - she really is Simon's golden girl
The UK X Factor announcer Peter Dickson has been approached about voicing the US version of the reality show, it has been revealed.
Dickson, who also works as the voiceover artist for Britain's Got Talent and The Paul O'Grady Show, said that he will soon be meeting with Stateside producers about a potential role on the Fox series.
"Simon [Cowell] has said he'd like me to be the voice of the American X Factor," Dickson told The Sun. "I am being flown out to Los Angeles during Oscars week so I can meet the Fox executives to try to sort out a deal."
The 49-year-old went on to admit: "I'm all set to go. I'm planning to relocate and get a place out there during filming."
However, Dickson said that he would understand if producers decided to pick an American announcer to voice the reality show.
"They have to decide how British they want the show to be, and whether they want a British voice and a British judge like Cheryl Cole," he added.
UK X Factor host Dermot O'Leary also recently declared that he is reconciled to the fact that Fox executives might prefer an American presenter.

More details about the forthcoming X Factor USA auditions have been revealed.
As previously announced, Simon Cowell and the still-unconfirmed panel of judges will begin meeting hopefuls in the Los Angeles Sports Arena on March 27. The official website for the US version of the talent competition has now announced where and when the other auditions will take place.
From LA, the judges will travel to Miami's Bank United Center on April 7, then on to the Prudential Center in Newark on April 14, Seattle's Key Arena on April 20 and Chicago's Sears Centre Arena on the 27. A date for the Dallas auditions is still to be announced.
The winner of the competition - which is open to anyone over the age of 12 - will sign a $5m recording contract with Sony Music.
Cowell has confirmed that X Factor USA will premiere on Fox in September.

Cheryl Cole will reportedly not serve as a judge on the upcoming US version of The X Factor.
According to the Daily Star, the 'Promise This' singer has been snubbed by Fox bosses over concerns about her thick Geordie accent and lack of profile stateside.
Friends close to Cole have claimed that the 27-year-old will now fill the "Sinitta role", advising head judge and executive producer Simon Cowell in the latter stages of the competition, just as the 'So Macho' singer does in the UK version.
A source said: "Simon really wanted Cheryl on the panel with him but it’s been an unwinnable battle. People just don’t know who she is over there and people struggle to understand what she’s saying.
"Simon is consoling her with the offer of helping him win the first series, which would give her profile a massive boost. The fact is she’s got a decision to make."
Cole was thought to have been working with an LA voice coach in order to quell fears about her regional slang, but the publication claims that Cowell has simply been unable to win over unconvinced network chiefs.
"Simon Cowell is still one of her biggest supporters," the insider said. "But even though the X Factor is his idea it's the executives at Fox who have the ultimate say over the make-up of the show."
They added: "Cheryl hasn’t heard or seen him since she arrived."
It was reported earlier this month that Cole had been offered £10 million to sit on the X Factor USA panel. Her and Cowell's future on the UK show has frequently been called into question as speculation about the American version continues.

Simon Cowell has said that he can't decide on who should join him on The X Factor USA panel.
The judge was quizzed about why there has been a delay in announcing the panel during an appearance on NBC's The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Wednesday.
"I can't make up my mind," he replied. "I keep meeting all these people every day and I like them. At the moment I could end up with about 23 judges on this panel; one contestant, 23 judges!"
He remained tight-lipped when Leno asked who he had been speaking to, but joked that he liked the idea of Charlie Sheen on the panel.
A string of stars have been linked to the judges' table over the past few months, including Usher, Nicole Scherzinger, Rihanna, Cee Lo Green and Mariah Carey. It was recently suggested that Cheryl Cole, who judges the British version of the show, had narrowly missed a place on the American panel, although that has yet to be confirmed.
Auditions for the Fox competition - which are open to singers aged 12 and over - will kick off on March 27 in Los Angeles, before travelling to Miami, Newark, Seattle, Chicago and Dallas. The winner of the series will be awarded a $5 million recording contract with Sony Music.
The show is scheduled to premiere on the network later this year.
Nicole Scherzinger has confirmed that she has held talks about a job on the US X Factor.
Speaking on Loose Women earlier today, the Pussycat Dolls popstar said that she would "put my all into it" if she landed the reality TV role.
"I don't know [if I have the job]. I've spoken to Simon [Cowell] a few times, but the offer hasn't been made official," she said. "We'll have to wait and see."
When asked if she was on the final shortlist, she commented: "I might be..."
She added: "I don't think I'd be too upset if I didn't get the job. I'm a strong believer that everything happens for a reason. I know that it is a huge commitment, but I'm a game-player and if they chose me I'd put my all into it."

Dermot O'Leary is apparently out of the running for the US X Factor presenting job.
According to The Mirror, Simon Cowell has decided that he wants two hosts for the show, and is looking for a "non-conventional female superstar and a male pin-up singer".
Speaking about the decision, O'Leary said that he is "obviously disappointed", but claimed that he was proud to be the only British presenter on the final shortlist.
Cowell is expected to announce the judging panel and presenters for the Fox series over the next couple of weeks.
Enrique Iglesias has reportedly been approached to be a part of the US version of The X Factor.
According to Deadline, the Euphoria singer has been asked to host the Fox reality show.
Iglesias has no previous experience as a lead presenter, but has been developing an acting career.
He has appeared in TV commercials and network shows including Two and a Half Men and How I Met Your Mother over the past few years.
The speculation follows rumours that Island Def Jam chairman L.A. Reid has signed up as the show's first judge.
Simon Cowell, who is planning to reveal the judges this week, has promised "the best judging panel so far".

Island Def Jam's LA Reid is leaving the label to become a judge on the US version of X Factor.
The 54-year-old music mogul has helped the likes of Mariah Carey, Usher, Rihanna, Kanye West and Jay Z to multi-platinum sales success.
Auditions for US X Factor are expected to start on 27 March, with the show due to air in the autumn.
Reid is the first person to be named as a judge on the show.
In a statement Island Def Jam confirmed the news.
Weeks of rumours
"Antonio 'LA' Reid has chosen to step down from his position as Chairman and CEO of Island Def Jam in order to participate in the upcoming US premiere of the X Factor," the statement said.
"We certainly wish him all the best with his new career choice and thank him for his contributions over the last several years."
The American X Factor organisers made no comment except to say "decisions are still being made on the panel".
Reid's appointment comes after weeks of rumours in the British press suggesting Cheryl Cole could be made a judge.
In a message announcing his departure to staff LA Reid said: "I have always thrived on growth and the next great challenge, and I look forward with much enthusiasm to what the future holds."
"I am extremely proud of our beautiful roster and all we have accomplished in my seven years with IDJ (Island Def Jam)."

Nicole Scherzinger has been signed up to host the US version of 'The X Factor'.
Simon Cowell has reportedly signed up the former Pussycat Dolls singer - who is managed by his rival, 'American Idol' boss Simon Fuller - to present the show after negotiating a deal with Nicole's American label CAA to ensure she has a clear schedule when the series launches later in the year.
However, with the 32-year-old beauty originally tipped for a role on the judging panel of the US 'X Factor', her "natural" ability in front of the camera convinced the 51-year-old music mogul to offer her the coveted hosting job instead.
An insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Never has there been so much behind-the-scenes wheeling and dealing as with 'X Factor' USA. "Having lined up Nicole as a potential judge, Simon decided to try something different and unexpected, and have a non-mainstream presenter present.
"Nicole's had screen tests and is a natural in front of the camera. Autocue does not faze her at all. As an established singer, both as a solo artist and in a group, Nicole will be great with the contestants and knows what she is talking about.
"The approach was made a few weeks ago. And although she has still not formally signed, it's all looking very positive."
With Nicole having bagged the presenting job, Simon is still attempting to convince Fox bosses to sign up Cheryl Cole for the judging panel, amid concerns the 'Promise This' singer is relatively unknown in the US.
The source added: "On the judging front, things are changing almost daily, but Simon has put his neck on the line to sell Cheryl to network bosses. After being stonewalled initially, Simon believes he has convinced them to sign off her deal."
Simon and record producer L.A. Reid are the only judges confirmed to appear on the panel so far, while Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey and Paula Abdul have all been linked to the two female roles.
An as-of-yet-unnamed male star will also co-host the series alongside Nicole.

Thousands turned out for the first ever X Factor audition in LA this morning, breaking the record for the highest auditions turn-out for a singing competition in the city.
The search for a new superstar kicked off at the LA Sports Arena on Sunday, where more than 18,000 people and counting had already gathered by 9am.

X Factor USA executive producer Rob Wade has said that he hopes to have a full judging panel finalised by April.
It has already been announced that former Island Def Jam chairman L.A. Reid will join Simon Cowell on the panel, but there has been endless speculation over who else will secure a spot.
"We think we should know by the end of April," he told Digital Spy at today's X Factor audition in Los Angeles.
"At the moment, what we do know is that we have Simon Cowell doing it - he's promised! - and L.A. Reid. He's a brilliant guy and he knows what he is talking about, which is so important in this process. The other two spots are still up for grabs. We're just getting the balance."
As for whether the remaining judges will be announced together or separately, he said: "I think it's all about how it comes out; it depends who it is and all those things. At the end of the day, we're not into gimmicks about the announcements. We're not doing this for a PR reason. We're doing it to get the right panel. That's what is important."
There have also been numerous rumours about who will host the Fox competition, with Nicole Scherzinger and British television presenter Steve Jones reported to be in the mix. Cowell recently fuelled further speculation when he hinted that there could ultimately be two presenters chosen.
"We are still looking at that, definitely. It could be one, it could be two," said Wade. "We're looking at two on balance and at the moment the pendulum might be swinging more towards that, but we're not sure."
However, he remained tight-lipped about who was under consideration, saying only: "At the moment we're keeping it behind closed doors but we should have the name of a host soon."
Today's first-ever X Factor audition in America broke records for the highest turn-out for a singing audition in Los Angeles, with more than 18,000 people and counting in the queue by 9am.
Further auditions will be held at Bank United Centre in Miami (April 7), Prudential Centre in Newark (April 14), Key Arena in Seattle (April 20), the Sears Centre Arena in Chicago (April 27) and Dallas Convention Centre, Dallas (May 6).
The X Factor premieres on Fox this fall.

Cheryl Cole has reportedly fallen out with Simon Cowell because of the uncertainty surrounding her job on The X Factor USA.
The singer is unhappy that she hasn't received more support from Cowell while trying out for the job and feels he has become distant since doubt was cast on her role, the Daily Star Sunday reports.
"Cheryl and Simon are not getting on as well at the moment," a source said. "He's been distant towards her and she feels like he's turned his back on her. They hardly saw each other when she was in LA. Cheryl called him when she arrived back in the UK earlier this week and they had quite a heated conversation.
"She appreciates all his help but said she felt like she had no support for any of the meetings she had in America. He told her she was blowing everything out of proportion and was being 'oversensitive'. But Cheryl feels like he could have helped her more.
"Simon texted her later to tell her to stop being 'silly' and reinforced how much he cares about her. But she said she couldn't seem to understand why he was being so distant and strange over the past few weeks. Simon previously told her she 'had it in the bag' and as soon as it transpired that she didn't, he stopped making as much contact."

Does anyone else see the same pattern emerging and Cheryl will know longer be Simon's favourite. When Dannii joined x-factor she would sit beside Simon and he fussed over her. Then when Sharon left and Cheryl was brought in Simon shoved Dannii aside and favoured Cheryl. Now he has his eye on Nicole Cheryl's knows is getting knocked out of joint and she's hating it.

She's no longer flavour of the month and unlike Dannii who behaved like a lady and acted with dignity when she was shunned for Cheryl.. Cheryl won't be so lady like. But she'd better watch what she's says to Simon as he could replace her for the UK x-factor as well.

Jessica Simpson has revealed that she is in talks to join The X Factor USA.
In an interview with Women's Wear Daily, Simpson said that she has been approached to join Simon Cowell's forthcoming singing competition as a judge.
"They have definitely talked to me about X Factor. I think it would be a lot of fun," the 30-year-old said.
She added: "It's definitely my life. To be a mentor for up-and-coming artists is right up my alley. I would have loved to have a mentor. I love watching people's dreams come true."
Simpson, who also said that she and fiancé Eric Johnson might elope, previously denied speculation that she was in talks to join The X Factor.
X Factor USA executive producer Rob Wade recently told Digital Spy that he hopes to have a full judging panel finalised by April.
Cowell and former Island Def Jam record label chairman L.A. Reid are currently the only confirmed judges.

"There are still people walking through the gates and we're so excited about it," executive producer Rob Wade told DS.
"I don't know what the final figure is, but it's the largest singing audition in LA... That's not bad for a new show, is it?"
Auditions for the Fox competition, which are open to groups and individuals from the age of 12 years old, are held in front of a live audience, with the ultimate prize being a $5 million recording contract with Sony.
Aspiring stars can also audition at Bank United Centre in Miami (April 7), Prudential Centre in Newark (April 14), Key Arena in Seattle (April 20), the Sears Centre Arena in Chicago (April 27) and Dallas Convention Centre, Dallas (May 6).
It was recently confirmed that former Island Def Jam chairman L.A. Reid will join Simon Cowell on the judging panel, with an announcement on the other two judges expected to be made in the coming weeks.

Snoop Dogg has revealed to DS that he was approached to take part in The X Factor.
The hip-hop icon performed at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in LA last night, where he duetted with boyband Big Time Rush. After their performance, the rapper was honoured with a Nickelodeon KCA sliming.
Before heading to the stage, Snoop Dogg walked the orange carpet and admitted that he had turned down an offer to work as a judge on Simon Cowell's reality show.
"They asked me to do that, but I don't think that's for me," he said. "I wouldn't mind going on the show as a mentor, but not as far as a judge."
Dogg also spoke about his close friendship with David Beckham, admitting that he was excited that the football star was having a fourth child. "I think I might have to be the godfather," he laughed.
The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards air in the UK on Friday, April 8 at 8pm on Nickelodeon and nick.co.uk.

Did L.A. Reid accidentally reveal that Cheryl Cole is joining The X Factor?
During a recent interview, Reid mentioned the pop singer's name while referring to the other members of the judging panel on Fox's new reality singing show, Entertainment Weekly reports.
"We're gonna compete against American Idol just fine," Reid said. "I'm very confident. But along with Simon Cowell and Cheryl, I don't know who the other judge is."
Fox declined to comment on the report.
Cole is an English singer who rose to fame when she was selected on a British reality show to join a pop group called Girls Aloud. She became a judge on the British version of X Factor in 2008.
The X Factor, which premieres this fall, will search the nation for undiscovered artist or group. The winning act will receive a $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music.

Simon Cowell has hinted that Black Eyed Peas star Fergie is in the running to join the judging panel for the US version of 'The X Factor'.
During a press conference for the show, Cowell said, when asked about rumours linking Fergie to the show: "All I can tell you is that her name was put forward but, like with a lot of people we have spoken to, we have to check out everyone's availability."
"There is a lot of time you have to put into this show, because it's not a two day a week job when you are in the live shows."
"You are mentoring the contestants and working five or six days a week. I can confirm that her name has been put forward."
Simon Cowell seemingly confirmed Cheryl Cole's position on X Factor USA during an appearance on Good Day LA yesterday.
However, the music mogul soon backtracked and insisted that his response was from an earlier question, blaming a delay in the video link.
The 51-year-old, who was speaking from London, later said that fans will have to "wait and see" who will be on the judging panel, saying: "You'll have to wait and see... we're still making our minds up."
Cowell then admitted that he's had two calls from "big names" who have put their names forward. When asked if the names include Gloria Estefan, Fergie or Mariah Carey, he replied "no" and insisted that they are "new" people.
He said: "There are a lot of people in the mix and truthfully, I've just had two calls - one on Friday and one on Saturday - from two other people who've put their names forward.
"They are big names and you can't say no, so you have to consider them as well... We've got a couple of weeks before we have to make our mind up."
Cole is reportedly "worried" that the US public won't like her.
Auditions for The X Factor USA continue in Newark this week, where hopefuls can collect their wristbands from the Prudential Centre today ahead of tomorrow's audition. Further auditions will be held at Key Arena, Seattle (April 20), Sears Centre Arena, Chicago (April 27) and Dallas Convention Centre, Dallas (May 26).
Aspiring singers can also audition at special recording booths in Honolulu, Arizona, Nashville and Anchorage, with further booths scheduled to open in Kansas (April 15) and Denver (April 16).
The X Factor will air on Fox later this year.

Simon Cowell has confirmed that Mariah Carey will be involved in The X Factor USA "in some form".
The music mogul is currently putting together the judging panel for the Fox version of the show. To date, only Cowell and L.A. Reid have been confirmed for the series.
Cowell previously stated that Carey would not be involved in the competition due to her current pregnancy. However, while speaking to radio presenter Jackie Brown he revealed that he met up with Carey recently.
"I think Mariah will have a role on the TV live shows," he said. "I met her recently and she was on great form. And her idea was to be the judge of the judges, which only Mariah could come up with."
He added: "She'll be involved in some form. I literally adore her. I love her to bits."
It has been confirmed by ITV that Cowell will not appear as a weekly judge on the next UK series.
Auditions for The X Factor USA continue at Key Arena in Seattle (April 20), the Sears Centre Arena in Chicago (April 27) and Dallas Convention Centre, Dallas (May 26).

Cheryl Cole is repeatedly being confused with Sheryl Crow by Americans who aren’t familiar with the English X Factor judge and Girls Aloud singer.
The latest star to make the mix-up was Jennifer Hudson, who looked confused when she was asked during a TV interview about her opinion of Cheryl. "Sheryl Crow?” Jennifer asked. When she was corrected, the Dreamgirls star said: "No, I'm not familiar with her."

Nicole Scherzinger has claimed that she still does not know if she will host The X Factor USA.
The 'Don't Hold Your Breath' star was linked to a presenting role on the Fox show last month. Simon Cowell admitted that he was "hopeful" about signing Scherzinger, but said that he was still looking for a co-host with the right "chemistry".
"I don't know what's going on with it," she told Glamour magazine. "Everything's up in the air."
Aside from the presenting job, the 32-year-old has also been linked to a permanent judging position on the UK version of the competition.
Discussing her appearance as a guest-judge last year, Scherzinger admitted: "I was like, 'I'm going to be a crummy judge'. I could empathise with those kids because I'd been in the same position. [I] got to show Simon Cowell that I know what I'm talking about - and help him out a little."
The 32-year-old added: "I was the angel on his shoulder! Joking aside, he's very inspiring. You want to be the best that you can around him - and that says a lot."

The lineup for Fox’s X Factor is nearly complete: EW has learned High School Musical actor-singer Corbin Bleu is close to joining the competition series as co-host, alongside previously reported co-host finalist, Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger.
Sources emphasize that neither Bleu or Scherzinger are locked in, but both are close to signing on with the series. Meanwhile, time is getting short: X Factor must have its full judging and hosting team in place by May 8 — that’s when the production begins shooting the audition rounds before the judges.
As for the rest of the team, we’re still hearing the same names as the finish line approaches that have been previously reported: L.A. Reid (who is confirmed), along with Cheryl Cole and Paula Abdul, joining Simon Cowell.
Cheryl Cole has been officially announced as a judge on The X Factor USA.
The British singer has worked alongside Simon Cowell on the UK version of the talent competition for three years after her rise to fame in pop group Girls Aloud.
Cole is the third confirmed judge for the Fox show and will sit alongside Cowell and the previously-confirmed Antonio 'L.A.' Reid.
"I'm so excited to be taking part in the American version of The X Factor," Cole said. "I absolutely love it here in the UK, and with the talent they have out in America, I'm sure we're going to find someone very special. I can't wait to get started.
"I just can't decide whether I am more excited to find and nurture the talent or for the unbelievable amount of amusement and entertainment I will have watching Simon doing everything and anything he can to beat me. He's tried to beat me for three years in the UK, and hasn't even come close. His ego must be so bruised. America is gonna love this."
Cowell said: "I'm thrilled for Cheryl. She is massively excited about this show, and has been fantastic to work with. She is also a complete brat! Most importantly, this girl can spot talent."
Mike Darnell, president of alternative entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company, continued: "Cheryl Cole has the whole The X Factor package - She's an incredibly talented artist and performer, as well as a style icon, and she has that special charisma that draws in fans around the world.
"Cheryl's charm and chemistry with Simon have been a key part of the overwhelming success of The X Factor in the UK, and we can't wait to welcome her to the US on our air."
The show's executive producer Cecile Frot-Coutaz added: "As a young artist whose talent show discovery led to almost immediate stardom, Cheryl's career exemplifies the promise of The X Factor. Her empathy and passion for identifying and nurturing undiscovered talent has made her a huge hit with British audiences, and I have no doubt America will fall in love with her beauty, her accent and her incredible chemistry with Simon Cowell."
On the UK version, Cole mentored both Alexandra Burke and Joe McElderry to victory and saw her act Rebecca Ferguson come second last year.
Reports have suggested that she will follow Simon Cowell's lead and quit her position on the UK panel, creating two available juding roles on the ITV1 show.

Paula Abdul will reportedly join Simon Cowell as the fourth and final judge on The X Factor USA.
The AP cites a source close to the show, who claims that Abdul is close to signing up for the new series, but that last-minute negotiations are holding back the official announcement.
Abdul served on the American Idol judging panel along with Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson for eight seasons until her exit in 2009.
The singer launched her own talent series for CBS earlier this year called Live to Dance, although it was not renewed for a second season.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that X Factor UK judge and successful British singer Cheryl Cole will join Cowell and Grammy Award-winning producer Antonio 'L.A.' Reid on the show's judging panel.
It was also reported earlier today that British TV presenter Steve Jones and former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger have been lined up to host the new series, although the show's producers have yet to make any official comment.
The X Factor USA will make its official launch on Fox this fall.
Paula Abdul has finally reached a deal to become the fourth and final judge on The X Factor USA, according to reports.
The singer had been linked to the role, but negotiations stalled because of her existing contract with CBS for cancelled series Live to Dance.
Abdul had been asked to show up at USC's Galen Centre today to film the show's auditions whether a deal had been reached or not. However, representatives for the star have worked through the night to finalise her contract, Deadline reports.
Abdul joins Simon Cowell, producer Antonio 'L.A.' Reid and British singer Cheryl Cole on the judging panel.
It has also been confirmed that Nicole Scherzinger and British TV presenter Steve Jones will host the show.

Cheryl Cole reportedly angered X Factor USA fans when she was seated beside Simon Cowell on the second day of auditions.
As the full panel began filming earlier this week, Paula Abdul took the seat beside her former American Idol sparring partner, leaving Cole in between her and Antonio 'L.A.' Reid.
However, Cole and Abdul swapped their positions on day two - prompting complaints on social-networking website Twitter, The Sun reports.
"I resent the heck out of Cheryl 4 screwing up the reunion of the century! Why?" one fan wrote, while another added: "Paula is our sweet little angel! Why is Simon letting that big-haired girl take her seat?"
An insider on the Fox show said: "The American public were desperate to get Simon and Paula back together - their chemistry on Idol was TV gold. Some want them to get together as a couple. So to see Cheryl in between them put her in the firing line."
Meanwhile, The Mirror claims that Cole and her fellow judges received boos from the audience when they rejected some auditionees.
"Cheryl was noticeably tougher, but stood up to the flak brilliantly especially as it was a much harsher crowd than the UK version," a source told the paper. "She's got a job to do and she coped *admirably. The booing wasn't personal at her.
"All the panel got a rough ride. It's part and parcel of her job to make difficult decisions that not everyone agrees with."
Open auditions for The X Factor, which premieres on Fox this fall, continue at the Dallas Convention Centre on May 26.
Cheryl Cole will no longer appear as a judge on The X Factor USA, it has been reported.
According to TMZ, the 'Promise This' singer and former X Factor UK judge has been replaced on the American panel by former Pussycat Dolls frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger. Sources for Sky have reportedly confirmed the news.
Scherzinger had been filling the role of co-host for the series alongside British TV personality Steve Jones. Jones will now apparently act as the sole host for the reality music show.
The site claims that producers made the change over concerns that Cole's thick accent would be too difficult for the audience to understand and that the singer had a "lack of chemistry" with fellow judge Paula Abdul.
Cole is now allegedly wanted for the new series of the UK X Factor, although it appears unlikely that the popstar would return to her former show.
Cole was to appear alongside Abdul, L.A. Reid and series creator Simon Cowell in the lineup.
Cole recently appeared in a new X Factor USA promotional video with Jones in order to introduce the stars to an American audience.
However, she was said to have angered fans during auditions for the Fox talent show earlier this month after she was seated between Cowell and Abdul on the judging panel.
Representatives are currently unavailable for comment.

Well her bubble didn't take long to burst, but we all seen this coming a mile a way. I don't think she should be allowed to return to the UK x-factor as it wasn't good enough for her since she set her dreams on going to the USA. Why should the UK be second best. The next big quesion is how long will it be before Mr Cowell drops her like a hot potato like he did with Dannii.
Lord Alan Sugar has tipped Cheryl Cole for a return to her previous judging role on the UK version of The X Factor.
The Girls Aloud star left the British show to join The X Factor USA but was apparently replaced on the panel by Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger after two weeks.
Writing on Twitter, businessman and The Apprentice boss Sugar suggested that Cole would probably return to her previous position in the UK
"Sky news is running the Cheryl Cole story seems might be true she is out of US X-Factor (sic)," he said. "I am sure if true she will be back in UK version."
Take That songwriter Gary Barlow is the only judge currently confirmed for the British show.
Dannii Minogue has officially quit the programme and pop singer Lily Allen has ruled herself out of joining the talent contest.
N-Dubz member Tulisa Contostavlos is said to be back in the running for a position on the panel.
Show boss Simon Cowell is reported to have called a 'crisis meeting' over "the mess" the UK show has been left in since he departed for America.

Simon will probably fire Louis now to bring her back
Cheryl Cole may still have a job on The X Factor USA, according to Simon Cowell's close friend Sinitta.
Cole has reportedly been dropped from the Fox talent show and replaced by former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger. However, '80s popstar Sinitta claimed that rumours about Cole's departure may have been premature.
"Who said she's been axed?" she told OK!TV. "Has anyone heard Simon say she's been fired? All the reports that I've heard had said that she's doing really well on the show.
"Being a judge on one of these shows is like being in Dynasty. Who gets to sit next to Simon? The girls are fighting over him."
When asked if she'd spoken to Cowell, she said that the show's creator has been "hard to reach", but commented: "The horse's mouth did not tell me she was sacked."
She added: "Someone's taken something and run with it. Maybe her mum needs to fly over to America. People are freaking out and cussing out on Twitter. I say hang on just a minute. Simon is back in the UK and shortly any minute now, hopefully, we will know more."
Allegations of an organised PR stunt by Cowell were also dismissed by Sinitta. "That would be really mean and I don't think he would do that. He's been helping her a lot and she's been great for the show," she said. "They are so close. So close."

He can't be reached because he's bmped Ms Cole and is eyeing up her replacement and will be devoting most of his time to Nicole. If Simon wanted to help Cheryl make a career in the US he would have taken her on as an advisor like Sinitta and help her raise her profile. If he's going to pull strings to bring back Cheryl on the UK show then he'd better bring back Dannii as well.
LIVID Cheryl Cole was "shocked and stunned" last night after being axed from X Factor USA.
And a close pal said: "She never saw it coming."
The 27-year-old pop babe claimed she had been ruthlessly dumped out of the blue by show boss Simon Cowell.
But his camp insisted he told her three days ago her role as a judge "wasn't working" in the US.
Cheryl claimed Cowell had cruelly ditched her from X Factor USA without telling her why or facing her in person.
But sources close to Cowell maintained she knew she was on the way out because American TV executives were "concerned about her performance".
The axing has torpedoed Cheryl's hopes of launching a successful singing career in the States on the back of her X Factor appearances.
The Girls Aloud babe is expected to jet back to Britain today. And she is set to swallow her pride by re-signing as a judge on the UK's X Factor.
But she faced another setback as a Sun online poll revealed 62 per cent of the show's fans DON'T want her to return.
A close friend of Cheryl told how she was seething after her humiliating US ejection.
The pal said: "She is completely shocked and stunned. She never saw this coming at all.
"The fact that Simon didn't tell her in person hurt. She never thought he would do that to her."
Cheryl was further embarrassed when US broadcasters Fox screened an ad for X Factor USA during the American Idol final on Wednesday night - showing only Cowell, 51.
But friends blasted suggestions made by Cowell's camp that she had quit because she was homesick. They said she has spent "loads of time" in Los Angeles and loves it there.
They added that reports of Cheryl's poor profile in America and a rift with fellow US judge Paula Abdul, 48, were equally false. And they dismissed rumours that US fans could not understand her because of her thick Geordie accent.
One pal said: "Her language, accent and diction were heavily screen-tested. The network knew exactly what she could do before things kicked off."
But in direct contrast, the Cowell camp insisted the telly mogul HAD spoken to Cheryl about the axe.
They claimed the pair sat down three days ago to discuss fears expressed by Fox bosses that she was not connecting with American viewers.
A source said: "Cheryl can hardly say this was a total shock. She actually knew about it three days ago.
"Simon told her in person at his house that it wasn't working and that he was under so much pressure to release her.
"She knows she has been nervous in her performances and TV execs were privately concerned."
Cheryl had started filming the US show's auditions on May 8 when she turned up in purple flares and orange top in LA. She finished another five days of filming in Chicago on Monday.
Her new manager, Black Eyed Peas singer Will.i.am, had been hoping to use her starring role on the show as a springboard to wider fame in the US.
He was even lining up duets with Rihanna and Usher.
But a source said: "This business has blown a big hole in her plans for a music career in the US. It really couldn't have played out any worse.
"No one in America knows who she is and X Factor was supposed to have sorted that out."
Cheryl's replacement is almost certain to be Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, 32. Some sources insisted race ace Lewis Hamilton's girlfriend, who was to have been show host, has always been a "Plan B" option if Cheryl did not work out.
She will join judges LA Reid, 54, Cowell and Paula, and Welsh presenter Steve Jones, 34.
In BRITAIN, X Factor insiders said Cheryl only has to sign a contract to be welcomed back into the fold.
She will have to decide quickly as ITV's filming of auditions starts next Wednesday.
But her return is believed to be virtually a done deal. That could be bad news for N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos, 22, who was lined up to be a judge but is now likely to make way for Cheryl.
Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland, 30, could also be at risk but is thought to be safer than Tulisa. So the final judging panel will probably consist of Cheryl, Louis Walsh, 58, Take That's Gary Barlow, 40, and Kelly.
One pal of Cheryl said: "She is hurt but has agreed to come back. She doesn't want her British fans to think she would desert them.
"She is determined to make it clear she hasn't failed. She thinks the blame lies at someone else's doorstep."
Cheryl's loyal mum Joan Callaghan was even more bullish.
She told pals: "Cheryl has been paid off to come back to the UK to sort out the show. Simon told her Tulisa just wasn't strong enough. The deal is she will be seen as the head judge, even above Gary Barlow."
Marvin Humes of boyband JLS, who were X Factor runners-up in 2008, said: "Cheryl is an incredibly strong woman. She has been through a lot and I think she will bounce back."
Fans in Newcastle were gutted for the local beauty. Ben McDonald, 21, said: "Cheryl is great and should be allowed to be on both X Factors - here and in America." But thousands of Sun readers polled online were not so sympathetic.
phil1970 wrote: "i hope she doesnt return to the uk x factor, her going to the usa and leaving the uk and then backtracking just shows how 2 faced she would be."
Celebrities were quick to support Cheryl on Twitter.
Comic Alan Carr tweeted: "We love you Cheryl come home pet. I'll pop the kettle on hinny xx."
ASHLEY Cole was jubilant last night after learning ex-wife Cheryl was returning to the UK.
The England and Chelsea ace has spent months trying to worm his way back into her life.
A friend said: "He's over the moon. He made no secret of the fact he never wanted Cheryl to move to America."
Earlier this month Cole, 30, changed his mobile phone profile to read: "I want my wife back."
The love rat also cleared his phone of girls' numbers in a bid to make a fresh start and is back living at the former marital home in Godalming, Surrey.
Cheryl, 27, was also seen visiting her ex mother-in-law at her home in Chigwell, Essex, two weeks ago.
After Cheryl initially shunned Cole, pals have revealed the couple maintain phone contact.
One added: "He hopes she will turn to him for support over her devastation at being sacked. The chances are she will."

He said: "She is hard-working, she looks great, she is charismatic on screen and she knows her stuff."
APRIL 26, 2011 - Simon Cowell tells the press he thinks Cheryl would "do really well in America".
He told an entertainment website: "She's a great judge. She's smart. It's just a hunch. If people take to her like the British public did, I think she's going to do really well in America."
He said he showed a video clip of Cheryl to Fox bosses two years earlier and they fell in love with her. He said: "In a way, the deal (to produce a US version), was almost conditional on Cheryl having the gig. They were desperate for her."
MAY 5 2011 - Cowell's production company ends months of speculation and confirms Cheryl has the job.
She said: "I can't wait to get started. I just can't decide whether I am more excited to find and nurture the talent or for the unbelievable amount of amusement I will have watching Simon doing everything and anything he can to beat me.
"He's tried to beat me for three years in the UK, and hasn't even come close. His ego must be so bruised. America is gonna love this."
MAY 26 - It emerges that Cheryl is off the show and will reportedly be replaced by ex-Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger.

Louis Walsh has called on Cheryl Cole to return to the UK version of The X Factor.
Walsh admitted to the Irish Daily Mirror that he was "surprised" to hear reports that his former colleague had been replaced on the US version of the programme.
"We'd welcome her with open arms," Walsh said of suggestions that Cole could take up her former position. "I'm surprised about what happened to Cheryl in the US but yes I'd like her back on the UK show.
"I think she should return and I think most viewers feel the same. She's a great asset. I honestly don't know what's going to happen at this stage but I'm 100 percent behind her returning."
The X Factor UK panel remains unconfirmed, with auditions due to begin filming in Birmingham next Wednesday.
"Cheryl and I get on well. She's a soft, sweet girl. Not many people see that side of her," Walsh remarked. "Of course what happened in the States is a blow but she will bounce back from it with the right people around her.
"She's big enough to carry on being a big success and a massive hit with the viewers."
Dannii Minogue recently confirmed that she has quit the show, while earlier this month Cowell himself told US reporters that Take That's Gary Barlow will appear on the panel.
"I'm going to miss Dannii so it would be great to have at least Cheryl back," Walsh concluded.
She should join Geordie Shore now :p
Cheryl Cole has reportedly been offered a £1.2million deal if she remains silent about her axe from The X Factor USA.
Cole would therefore be paid her entire fee for the talent series for four days' work, as previously reported. This equates to around £25,000 per hour.
In return the singer must not speak negatively about the show or Simon Cowell in public.
A source told The Mirror: "Cheryl is going to be paid off if things go to plan.
The last thing we need is someone with an axe to grind saying bad things about the show before it even starts.
We hope a simple statement can be released next week and that will be the end of it. It's is an incredible amount of money for four days' work, but this is a multi-million dollar show with so much invested, it will be worth it. If she takes the money she is effectively agreeing to a gag."
Cheryl Cole has said that she is "absolutely fine" about the axe from the series.
Meanwhile, Fox producers have said that Cole will still feature in some episodes of The X Factor USA when it airs.

Yeah well I'd be fine about getting the sack if I was paid £1.2 million.
Cheryl Cole will reportedly return to the judging panel of The X Factor USA, just over a week after she was allegedly axed from her role on the show.
According to the News of the World, Cole is expected to rejoin filming on Wednesday, when auditions begin again in New Jersey. Nicole Scherzinger, who was rumoured to be replacing the Girls Aloud star on the panel after her departure, will now return to her original role as co-host with Steve Jones.
An insider has suggested that Simon Cowell is partly responsible for Cole's rehiring, saying: "This is the biggest surprise of the lot - Cheryl is back. Who could possibly have predicted this - it appeared that Simon had dumped Cheryl for good?
"But behind the scenes Simon has been wooing Cheryl. And key executives at Fox all realised they had made a big mistake. They have been watching the tapes of her at the American auditions and realising that she could be a huge star over there."
Previous reports had suggested that Cole had been refusing Cowell's phone calls after her alleged exit from The X Factor USA, and she has since been replaced in her judging role in the UK version of the show by N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos.
Fox has so far refused to confirm that Cole had originally left the show, or that she will be present for next week's auditions, although producers have reportedly said that Cole will feature in audition footage from Chicago and Los Angeles when The X Factor USA premieres later in the year.

It is funny how Cheryl, Simon and everyone has kept quite over her axing all publicity for the show and Cheryl's career in the US
Simon Cowell reportedly pushed for Cheryl Cole to be on the X Factor USA judging panel from the start.
Cowell's publicist Max Clifford has claimed that the music mogul has been in discussions with the show's producers ever since rumours of Cole's axing began last week.
Earlier today, it was claimed that Cole had been offered a deal to return to the show from as early as Wednesday this week, despite Nicole Scherzinger allegedly being offered her seat on the judging panel.
"If he has his way, she will be on the show," Clifford told Sky News. "But he's an important part of a very important team, so obviously there are other people with strong views, as in Fox Television, as in Fremantle, and that's what's being discussed at the moment."
Clifford has also denied speculation that the whole situation was a huge publicity stunt orchestrated by Cowell himself.
"I think he's had more headaches over this situation than probably anything in the previous ten years," Clifford explained.
If Cole does rejoin The X Factor USA, Scherzinger is expected to return to her original position of co-host alongside former T4 presenter Steve Jones.
Nicole Scherzinger has been officially confirmed as Cheryl Cole's replacement on the judging panel of The X Factor USA.
The Pussycat Dolls star has long been in the frame to take over Cole's position and her appointment has been confirmed today by Fox, Fremantlemedia North America and Syco TV.
"Nicole Scherzinger will be replacing Cheryl Cole on the judging panel of The X Factor," a statement read.
"Nicole will join Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Paula Abdul on their search across America to find the next global superstar or group to win the life-changing $5 million dollar recording deal.
"Nicole has previously joined Simon Cowell as a guest judge on The X Factor for the UK version of the show in 2010. Steve Jones will act as sole host of The X Factor."
I hope that this is the last of this saga, fed up with the Will Cheryl, Won't Cheryl saga

Cheryl has been dumped good and proper by Mr Cowell. He's so fickle and self centred that he picks females like sweeties from a jar but it has come back to haunt him.

Lee Mead has said that Cheryl Cole's exit from The X Factor USA may have been a publicity stunt.
The theatre actor added to New that if Cole's departure was not pre-arranged, she will definitely get over the disappointment.
Mead said: "The cynic in me wonders if it was all just a PR stunt. When I was in a talent show it did go through my mind that things might be manipulated for the press.
"But if not, she'll dust herself off. [My wife] Denise [Van Outen] knows Cheryl and she's always had nothing but praise for her."
Nicole Scherzinger's ex-manager Jeff Haddad has claimed that his former client was always going to replace Cole and that the Girls Aloud singer was "used as a cog in the wheel to cause hype and publicise the show".
Cole is said to be "annoyed" that Cowell allegedly did not tell her personally about her axe from the show, but instead only sent a "short and brutal" text after she had been spoken to by another executive.
X Factor USA will launch with a two-night premiere in September.
The new singing competition will kick off with a two-hour episode on Wednesday, September 21 at 8/7c, followed by another two-hour instalment on Thursday, September 22 at 8/7c.
Simon Cowell, who left American Idol to bring X Factor to American screens, will be joined by LA Reid, Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger on the judging panel, while Steve Jones will host the show.
Scherzinger was initially announced as the co-host of the programme but was later named as a judge following the departure of original judge Cheryl Cole.
However, reports have suggested that footage of Cole filmed at the Los Angeles and Chicago auditions before she left the series will still feature in some capacity on the programme.
Auditions for X Factor kicked off in Los Angeles in March, where a record-breaking crowd of thousands turned out for their chance to secure a spot in the show. Further auditions were held in Miami, Newark, Seattle, Chicago and Dallas.
Hopefuls were also given the opportunity to submit a video audition through YouTube or at special MyStudio recording booths across the US.
The winner of X Factor will scoop a record-breaking $5 million recording contract with Sony Music / Syco.

Dermot O'Leary has revealed that Steve Jones replaced an American presenter on The X Factor USA.
The X Factor UK host, who will return to present the series later this year, missed out on the chance to work on the Fox version of Simon Cowell's competition as he had to confirm his return to the ITV1 show earlier this year.
"I wanted to get the job... I didn't get the job," he told This Morning. "That's about it. The thing is, is that there are too many people unemployed in this country, so I'm not going to start bleating about the fact... that's not the way I was brought up. You don't start bleating about the fact you don't get a job."
O'Leary, currently hosting ITV's Marriage Ref, explained: "The British show starts so early, so you've got to sign very early - so I signed February to start April. The minute I signed that, I thought I've probably counted myself out for the job in America, whether I get it or not. That's the way it worked out."
However, the 38-year-old confirmed that Jones was only hired to host the competition alongside Nicole Scherzinger two days before filming began in May.
"They went with an American," O'Leary said. "That guy didn't work out. He didn't work out about two days before it started. Then Steve went out and [got it], and fair play to him."
It was previously claimed that plans to have High School Musical actor Corbin Bleu take on the role were not well received by 'Poison' star Scherzinger.
Scherzinger has since left her role as co-host, replacing axed Cheryl Cole as a judge. Jones has remained as the sole presenter of The X Factor USA.
SIMON Cowell has axed another of his favourite girls from the show... Sinitta.
Simon Cowell, who’s now working on the American version of the hit programme, has decided to drop his ex-girlfriend as his helper this year.
Instead he is set to hire pop diva Mariah Carey, 41, to assist him in choosing his acts for the finals of The X Factor USA.
His decision has come like a bolt out of the blue for poor Sinitta.
She’s had that role on the UK show for the last seven years and was hoping he would enlist her services for the US series.
But Sinitta, 42, is determined to fight the move.
She said: “Well, let’s just say feathers will fly if Mariah takes my spot.
“Although she is a mega diva vocally, you can expect another XF USA drama. I won’t just roll over and take it. I hope she can run in high heels.”
Cowell will be jetting to a stately mansion in the UK for the “judges’ homes” stage of the competition on The X Factor USA this summer.
And it’s here where sassy songbird Mariah will join him to choose the best acts from his category.
Meanwhile, Sinitta hasn’t been idle while Cowell has been in the States.
She has relaunched her own search for a star on her website called attinis.com.
The So Macho chart star said: “Mine is more than a singing contest. It’s going to be mega.”

The US version of The X Factor may not hit British screens until 2012, according to reports.
Fans in the UK could be facing a wait to see the new American show because ITV bosses are apparently concerned it could distract viewers from the homegrown series.
The Sun reports that TV executives are considering airing the Stateside version - which sees Simon Cowell joined on the judging panel by Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and LA Reid - much later in 2011, or even next year.
An insider told the newspaper: "The last thing bosses want is the American version taking attention away from the UK show."
Meanwhile, this year's UK boot camp looks set to be the biggest ever.
Hopefuls will reportedly be put through their paces at London's Wembley Arena, where they will take part in a week of gruelling workshops starting on August 14.

I'm not fussed if we see it or not. There's enough reality shows on as it is. We don't need another one.
Awww, I would like to see the couple of episodes with Cheryl Cole though to see whether the Americans really did not understand her :p
Nick Cannon has said that wife Mariah Carey is "ready" for her role on The X Factor USA.
The America's Got Talent host confirmed speculation that Carey would join the Fox singing competition, and said that the singer is "excited" about the opportunity.
"Now it's official. I still don't know what she's doing, but she's doing something! She's ready... she's excited!" Cannon told Extra.
America's Got Talent judge Sharon Osbourne also expressed her support for Carey, adding: "She's the world's greatest singer. This is a singing contest... she knows what people want and that's why she sells millions of albums today."
Carey will reportedly join X Factor boss Simon Cowell at the Judges' Houses stage of the competition, where she will serve as mentor.
"Mariah is definitely confirmed to be a part of X Factor. She is confirmed to tape something with Simon Cowell at the judges' homes," a source told People.
Cowell previously insisted that he would find a role for Carey on the programme as he has always been a fan of hers.
The X Factor USA will receive a UK transmission the day after it airs in the US, ITV has confirmed.
Simon Cowell makes his judging comeback alongside Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and Antonio 'LA' Reid. As with the UK competition, the American version offers singers over the age of 12 and groups the chance to compete for a $5m recording contract.
Hosted by Welsh presenter Steve Jones, The X Factor USA will kick off on ITV2 with a two-hour double bill on Thursday, September 22 and Friday, September 23.
It had previously been suggested that the UK broadcast could be delayed, in order to avoid having the series run alongside the UK edition, which ends its auditions process with a double-bill this weekend.
Cowell has confirmed that axed judge Cheryl Cole will feature in the opening episode of The X Factor USA. The Girls Aloud star has appeared briefly on the panel in some of the promotional material released.
The X Factor USA premieres in the US on September 21 at 8pm ET on Fox, and in the UK on September 22 at 8pm on ITV2.
'Collide' singer Leona Lewis has confirmed that she will perform on both versions of The X Factor.
Rihanna has been lined up to help X Factor USA judge LA Reid during the Judges Houses' stage of the vocal competition, it has been claimed.
The 'Cheers' singer has been asked to aid Reid in deciding which contestants in his category will advance to the live shows, according to TMZ.
The X Factor kicks off on Fox with a four-hour, two-night premiere special on Wednesday, September 21 and Thursday, September 22 containing highlights of the record-breaking auditions that took place earlier this year.
Singers who make it past the auditions will perform in front of the judges and a live arena audience at the Boot Camp episodes, with successful hopefuls then moving on to the Judges' Houses stage of the competition.
Judges Reid, Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul will each be given one category to mentor from young guys, young girls, older singers and groups. The X Factor had been open to all singers and groups from the age of 12 upwards.
The judges will invite their category to their homes before deciding which singers will advance to the live performance shows. Live shows begin on Wednesday, November 2, with the first results show scheduled to air the following night.
