Michael Jackson was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Los Angeles on Thursday (June 25) after suffering cardiac arrest, according to TMZ. The site reported that paramedics administered CPR in the ambulance after picking up the singer at his home in the Holmby Hills neighborhood.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Jackson was not breathing when paramedics arrived. Captain Steve Ruda told the paper that Jackson was not breathing when paramedics responded to a call at Jackson's home around 12:26 p.m. PT.

A Jackson family member reportedly told TMZ that the singer is in "really bad shape" and his brothers are headed to UCLA. Jackson's father, Joe, reportedly told the site that his son is "not doing too well."

MTV News was unable to reach representatives for Jackson at press time.

If the reports are accurate, this development will almost certainly have an impact on the singer's 50 scheduled concerts in London, which are scheduled to begin on July 13. The concerts all sold out within hours of the tickets going on sale.

The residency, called This Is It, is scheduled to continue through February. Jackson has said these are the last shows he'll play in London.

However, the singer has been dogged by a $40 million lawsuit filed earlier this month by promoter AllGood Entertainment Inc., claiming breach of contract and fraud in an attempt to stop Jackson from performing in London. The New Jersey-based company filed the suit in federal court in New York stating that it signed a deal with Jackson's manager, Frank DiLeo, in November 2008 that commits the singer to appear at a Jackson family reunion concert in the U.S. this summer.

AllGood CEO Patrick Allocco told MTV News that the contract was for a concert that was originally scheduled to take place this July. "The date we now have on hold is July 3 in Cowboy Stadium in 2010," Allocco said, adding that the contract stipulates that Jackson cannot perform individually before the AllGood show or for three months after the July event.

Jackson, who had been rehearsing for the London shows in Los Angeles, has claimed he never personally signed the papers for the family-reunion show, and AEG Live CEO Randy Phillips has called the AllGood claims "meritless." But Allocco said, "Frank DiLeo is clearly the manager of [Michael] Jackson now, and he signed the deal on his behalf."

American News are saying he is dead, a massive heart attack!

We've just learned Michael Jackson has died. He was 50.

Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived. A cardiologist at UCLA tells TMZ Jackson died of cardiac arrest.

Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate him but he was completely unresponsive.

We're told one of the staff members at Jackson's home called 911.

La Toya ran in the hospital sobbing after Jackson was pronounced dead.

Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.

Michael was a legend there is no mistake but since the early 80's when he started wearing that mask and having all that plastic surgery he lost his appeal. However there will be millions of fans around the world distraught at the news of Michael dying. LA is going to become a shrine with flowers over the next weeks and months. The grief will be overwhelming just like when Princess Diana died.

Michael Jackson has died in hospital at the age of 50.

The singer was rushed to UCLA Medical Centre earlier tonight after suffering a heart attack.

According to local reports, Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived at his Holby Hills home, while attempts to resuscitate him were "completely unresponsive".

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles City Fire Department said: "The call came in because a person was not breathing.

"When the team arrived, they saw that CPR was already in progress by someone at the home. The person not breathing was transported to UCLA Medical Center and remains there."

The star's mother and sister LaToya are reportedly inside the hospital, where large crowds have gathered.

He was expected to begin a series of comeback shows at London's O2 arena from July 13.

Jackson is survived by three children, Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince Michael Jackson II.

Soo sad, such a young age. RIP Michael :crying:

Michael Joseph Jackson was born in Gary, Indiana in 1958, the seventh child of Joseph Walter Jackson, an employee at a steel mill, and Katherine Esther Jackson, a homemaker and sales clerk.

He showed an aptitude for performing at a very young age, joining his brothers' band as a back-up musician and dancer in 1964. Two years later, at the age of eight, he and brother Jermaine became lead singers of the group, which had now become known as the Jackson 5.

Having signed to Motown Records in 1968, the Jackson 5 proved an instant success, with each of their first four singles topping the US charts. Michael soon emerged as the star of the group and released his first solo album, Got To Be There, in 1972. For the next three years he balanced a successful solo career with his commitments to the family band.

The Jackson 5 left Motown in 1975 and proceeded to sign to Epic Records, changing their name to The Jacksons for legal reasons. During this period Michael emerged as the group's main songwriter, co-penning hits such as 'Can You Feel It' and 'Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground)'.

While filming movie musical The Wiz in 1978, Jackson asked Quincy Jones, the composer of the film's score, to produce his next solo record. The result was Off The Wall, the album that made him an international pop superstar. It went on to sell 19 million copies worldwide and place four singles in the US top ten, a record at the time.

However, Jackson's greatest success was to come with the release of the Thriller album in 1982. Spawning no fewer than seven international hit singles, including the US chart-toppers 'Billie Jean' and 'Beat It', it became the best-selling album of all time, a title it still holds today. Thriller's sales to date are estimated to lie between 47 million copies and 109 million copies worldwide.

Having completed his final tour with The Jacksons in 1984, and co-written charity single 'We Are The World' a year later, Jackson finally released his follow-up to Thriller in 1987. The Bad album sold 30 million copies worldwide, yielded five US number one singles and spawned a concert tour that saw Jackson perform to 4.4 million across the globe.

However, alongside his unprecedented popularity, Jackson was also becoming known for his increasingly unusual behaviour. A pet chimpanzee named Bubbles became his close companion, while his appearance changed notably, with a gradual lightening of his skin colour and frequent alterations to his facial features. This earned him the nickname 'Wacko Jacko' among the British tabloids.

In 1988 Jackson released his first autobiography, Moonwalk, in which he admitted to undergoing plastic surgery and revealed that he had been physically and mentally abused by his father while growing up. The same year, Jackson built his famed Neverland Ranch - at a reported cost of $17 million - on land near Santa Ynez, California.

Having renewed his record deal with Sony for $65 million - a record-breaking sum at the time - Jackson released his eighth solo album Dangerous in 1991. Although it became another blockbuster success, selling 32 million copies worldwide, Jackson would only release two further discs of new material in the remainder of his career.

In 1993 Jackson was accused of child sexual abuse by Evan Chandler on behalf of his 13-year-old son, Jordan. Jackson settled a civil suit with the Chandler family for $22 million the following year, while the State closed its criminal investigation after the Chandlers refused to testify.

However, rumours of child sexual abuse continued to plague Jackson in the ensuing years, reaching a head at 2005's People v. Jackson trial in Santa Monica, California. On June 13 that year, 18 months after he had been charged with seven counts of child molestation and two counts of administering an intoxicating agent in order to commit that felony, a jury found Jackson not guilty on all charges.

In 1994 Jackson married Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis Presley, but the pair divorced less than two years later. He married again in 1997, to Australian nurse Debbie Rowe, with whom he fathered two children, Prince Michael Jackson (born 1997) and Paris Katherine Jackson (born 1998). The couple divorced in 1999, with Rowe granting full custody rights of the children to her ex-husband. Jackson is also survived by a third child, Prince Michael Jackson II (born 2002), whose maternity has never been revealed.

Amidst rumours of financial insolvency, Jackson agreed to perform a series of comeback concerts at London's O2 Arena starting on July 13. However, on June 25 he was rushed to the UCLA Medical Centre in Los Angeles, Calfiornia after suffering a heart attack. He was pronounced dead at 2.26pm local time (9.26pm GMT) after being given CPR. He was 50.

The family of Michael Jackson have released their first public statement following the news that he has died.

The 'Thriller' star, 50, was pronounced dead at a Los Angeles hospital last night after suffering a suspected cardiac arrest. An autopsy will be performed later today.

Speaking to reporters, his brother Jermaine said: "My brother, the legendary king of pop, Michael Jackson, passed away on Thursday, June 25, at 2.26 pm.

"It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until the results of the autopsy are known.

"The personal physician who was with him at the time attempted to resuscitate my brother, as did paramedics who transported him to the hospital.

"Upon arriving at the hospital at approximately 1.14 pm, a team of doctors, including emergency physicians and cardiologists, attempted to resuscitate him for a period of one hour and they were unsuccessful.

"Our family requests that the media please respect our privacy during this tough time, and may Allah be with you Michael."

What a shock this is.

I grew up with the music of Michael Jackson, he was having huge hits at the time I was a student and his music was always playing in the discos.

He obviously had his issues, and at some point his reality grew warped but I guess that is the danger of growing up in the public domain and being a star from such a young age. Very few child stars seem to be unaffected by the fame, money and pressure. He was a troubled soul.

When I was a kid it seemed that the news programmes were always mentioning some old hollywood star who had died - they seemed so old and far away.

They are getting much closer now.

I hope that Michael is at peace now.

Michael Jackson may have died of a painkiller overdose, it has been claimed.

According to The Sun, Jackson aides told staff at the UCLA Medical Centre that the star had collapsed after an injection of pethidine, also known by its brand name Demerol.

A source said: "Shortly after taking the Demerol he started to experience slow shallow breathing. His breathing gradually got slower and slower until it stopped.

"His staff started mouth-to-mouth and an ambulance was called which got there in eight minutes but found he was in full respiratory arrest, no breathing and no pulse. They started full CPR and rushed him to hospital."

They added: "When he arrived they started resuscitation, giving him heart shocks and inserted a breathing tube and other supportive measures to try and save his life.

"He never regained consciousness. The family was told that he had passed."

I can imagine that all the scar tissues from his many operations could have caused him a lot of pain and perhaps trying to get fit for this mammoth tour he had planned was just too much.
Whatever he did or did not do in his private life, he was a fantastic musician.

Micheal Jackson was a musical genius.

He wrote most of his own songs as we as performing them, and he had such an individual style.

His (old) music is just as relevant today as it was when I was growing up. My kids have his stuff on their ipods.

Like many child stars he grew up in a goldfish bowl. He obviously developed mental health issues, self worth issues and reality issues.

Let him rest in peace, hopefully content in his own skin at last.

Mmm Injecting yourself so as you turn white, hanging your kiddie from a balcony, are hardly the actions of a sane man.

If someone here hung their child over a balcony the social would be on your case before you knew what hit you.

Oh yes he had issues but of course these were never proven.

Still its unfair to speak ill of the dead so I will not comment any further on his strange lifestyle. His music wasnt to my taste but there is no doubting his musical abilities.

26-06-2009, 11:53
I am sad over his death as I am when I hear the news of any life that has been lost. He died at a tragic age, like many other stars such as Farrah Fawcett.

But I can't say I will shed any tears over him as I never knew him personally, only ever through his music.

I don't know if this makes me cold hearted or not, but the next few months we will see swarms of people making tributes via cards or flowers, the media will be in chaos as so many people will be selling stories about MJ and it will soon become a competition amongst the general public over who can cry the loudest.

Trinity
26-06-2009, 12:02
Unfortunately, I think that you are right Davey.

The public today seem to have taken ownership of famous figures and almost consider them to be family.

They grieve in a way that would have been unheard of a few decades ago.

MJ will be the Princess Di of Pop.

Lamented and wailed over by people who didn't know him, tributes paid by people who couldn't have been more distant in life and fake pain displayed to the world media by all and sundry.

I do think that this sort of behaviour is tasteless, I also think that it devalues the real pain and grief of people who have recently been beareved.

Michael Jackson's long-time lawyer has claimed that the late singer's children will most likely be placed with his mother.

The 'Billie Jean' star passed away at a Los Angeles hospital yesterday following a suspected cardiac arrest. He leaves behind three children.

Speaking to RadarOnline, attorney Brian Oxman said: "Probably Mrs Jackson will take care of them, she loves them dearly."

He went on to say that 12-year-old Prince Michael, Paris, 11, and seven-year-old Prince Michael II had been at the singer's home when the paramedics arrived.

He added: "Everyone is crying and it’s very sad."

His mother must be getting on a bit herself - surely there are more suitable family members to take care of such young children.

Michael Jackson's West End tribute show Thriller - Live will go ahead tonight as scheduled.

Producers of the musical, which takes place at London's Lyric Theatre and Manchester's Opera House, said that there would be "no greater tribute" than to carry on with this evening's performances.

"After much deliberation overnight and this morning and taking into consideration the views of Michael's legion of fans, we can think of no greater tribute to the memory of the man and his incredible music than for tonight's performance to go ahead as planned," they explained.

A minute's silence will be held at 7.30pm in the auditoriums.

Executive director Adrian Grant added: "Words cannot express my deep sense of loss and sadness; I am shocked beyond belief that Michael has died.

"My full condolences go out to his family, his children, parents, brothers and sisters. The Jackson family have lost a son and a father, and the world has lost one of the greatest entertainers of all time, a true legend."

I am glad they are not cancelling the show, I agree that this is a very fitting tribute.

Granted he was a big artist, so today he warrants dominating the news and having tribute shows, but please let this be the end of it. Can we have our media back, without him taking over it for weeks. He was just an artist, and not the most sympathetic one at that. He was marmite, and for those that didnt like him, it's annoying to see all this coverage.

I'm looking at the news and seeing all these fans crying buckets as if their father/brother/son had died and i'm thinking get over yourselves you sad acts.

He had issues, he never grew up, he lead a sad life, and drugs were probably involved in his death. He was hounded by the press and his haters all this life and thats why he gained the reputation. I hope people let him rest in peace now instead of dragging up rumours of how he died etc.

I agree, I have been listening to my local radio station which has been playing his music incessantly today... and you realise just how fab his music really was.

I think I've never really liked him/his music in the past (cant deny he knocked out a good song or three, I liked) because of his weirdness, and I found it quite disturbing someone could do that (completely disfigure themselves via plastic surgery) to their face...

Sadly Michael's death will be in the news for weeks to come, they are even releasing the 911 call made from his home to the emergency services how sick is that.

Love or hate Michael he did have mental health problems and these began from early childhood when him and his sisters and brothers were thrushed into the limelight from a very early age, all they knew was performing, some coped better than others but it was obvious when Latoyah was in CBB how strange their upbringing was. It's no surprise he behaved they way he did. But on a musical front many pop artists would not be in the business today if it hadn't been for Michael he was a true entertainer when he performed you knew it was going to be live. The world is going to be a sadder place without him in it.

Leona Lewis, Beyoncé and Justin Timberlake are among the stars rumoured to be filling Michael Jackson's O2 tour dates.

According to The Sun, tour promoters AEG are planning a benefit gig in honour of Jackson, who died on Thursday.

The 'Man In The Mirror' singer had signed for a series of gigs at the O2 arena in London prior to his death.

Diana Ross, Sir Paul McCartney and Usher have also reportedly been approached for the tribute.

Earlier this week, it was reported that AEG Live could face a £300 million insurance liability.

From all the reports over the last few weeks we knew he was not a well man and 50 dates would have been too much for the fitest man let alone someone weak like Michael. He was renting because he was 340 million in debt, sooo prpbably couldnt afford to buy anywhere... he apparently was spending 25million a year more than he was earning!!! It makes you wonder how and on what someone could spend so much money on...:hmm:

He - according to the papers, sooo its not gospel, said he was renting that mansion where he died for $100,000 a month.

DM - that's what Ive read, that he was doing the UK concerts to help pay off some of his debt, because otherwise he was facing financial ruin. THough, I very much doubt whether he could have managed to get through 5, let alone 50 concerts... the shape he was in.

A total of 20 tracks featuring Michael Jackson have re-entered the top 75 of the UK singles chart following the singer's death on Thursday.

The flux of Jackson classics is led by 'Man In The Mirror' - originally a number 21 hit in 1988 - which reaches a new peak of eleven this week.

It is followed by 'Thriller' at 23, 'Billie Jean' at 25, 'Smooth Criminal' at 28, 'Beat It' at 30 and 'Earth Song' at 38.

Other Jackson favourites to re-enter the top 75 range from 'I Want You Back', a number two hit for The Jackson Five in 1970, to 'They Don't Care About Us', a top five hit for the singer in 1996.

Meanwhile, Jackson's Number Ones compilation - originally released in 2003 - returns to the top of the UK albums chart.

An episode of ITV1's Mr & Mrs featuring Tito Jackson will be re-edited before airing.

Presenter Phillip Schofield revealed on Twitter that the programme had been tweaked following Tito's brother Michael's death last Thursday.

"Just been talking to the producer of Mr & Mrs. Having to re-edit this Saturday's show as it features Tito Jackson. There was a lot of MJ talk," wrote Schofield.

"It will go out, just with a sensitive re-edit and a statement before."

In another post, he added: "Think [Tito] would like it to go out for his charity's sake, tough call though."

Mr & Mrs, which is hosted by Schofield and Fern Britton, airs on ITV1 at 7:30pm on Saturday. Tito and his partner Sonia Galindo are among the famous couples hoping to win £30,000 for a charity of their choice.

I think if it is made clear that the show was recorded before Michael's death, it should go out as recorded. I am sure Tito was complimentary about his brother so why cut it?

Ticketholders for dates on Michael Jackson's cancelled 50-date London residency have been given information on how to get their money back.

Concert promoters AEG Live have said that fans will have the option of either returning their ticket for a full refund, or keeping the Jackson-designed pass as a souvenir.

Chief executive Randy Phillips said: "The world lost a kind soul who just happened to be the greatest entertainer the world has ever known.

"Since he loved his fans in life, it is incumbent upon us to treat them with the same reverence and respect after his death."

Fans who purchased tickets through reseller Seatwave have been promised a full refund via the firm's TicketCover guarantee, while Viagogo customers will automatically be refunded.

A spokeswoman for eBay has urged buyers to get in touch with their seller directly to request a refund and said that those who bought via PayPal will be covered by insurance if they claim within 45 days.

MICHAEL JACKSON faked his own death to escape the pressures of fame, according to crazed fans who believe their hero is still alive.

Thousands have been logging onto websites to join wacky conspiracy theories that the star is simply preparing for the ultimate comeback.

One site has published a photo it claims is of Jacko on Sunday - three days after his death - although you can't see his face and there's no proof the snap is new.

Another webpage reckons he has been planning this for nearly a year-and-a-half and is now in hiding in Eastern Europe.

A third believes Jacko was spotted crossing the border into Mexico hours after news of his death broke on Thursday.

Again there is no hard evidence to support the claims.

The leading conspiracy theory website is www.michaeljacksonsightings.com

The site has published a grainy photo it says is Jacko, above, and claims the man who died on Thursday was a Jacko double with a terminal illness whose family will be looked after in return.

A message reads: "Over the past few days there have been many Michael sightings. People have e-mailed with pictures and amazing stories.

"Michael is alive and well and happier than ever. The plot was 10 years in the making but it had to be done.

"We know he is alive because we have seen pictures. Clear pictures taken June 26, 2009 of Michael Jackson lounging poolside with friends.

"This site is dedicated to bringing the truth to his fans and ultimately to provide a forum for Michael to communicate with them.

"We feel he was forced to fake his death the same way companies are forced into bankruptcy.

"Those close to Michael have known about the plot for years, it was a very expensive and intricate venture.

"The man who died had a terminal illness and his death was long overdue. He was given facial surgery to resemble Michael exactly. No doubt his family will be taken care of.

"Soon we think Michael's new music will be out.

"Under a different name and with a drastically altered face, which sounds better than ever, even though a harmonizer has been used to disguise his voice.

"Michael wants to connect with his fans, he only wants to run from those who would seek to control him."

Another site, called Jackson Faked His Own Death, also claims Jacko's death is a stunt, but this time that he is holed up in Eastern Europe ready to return in person.

They claim: "Once he is rested and ready will blow the lid off his own hoax and then embark on the most spectacularly lucrative concert tour in the history of rock 'n' roll."

Then there is www.michaeljacksonhoaxdeath.com, which claims to have been told by sources from the United States Customs and Border Protection saw Michael and another unidentified man, crossing the California-Mexico Border late on Thursday night.

A witness says: "How could you mistake a face like that? I'm certain it was Michael Jackson.

"His hair was cut short and he was wearing dark sunglasses, but I've got a couple of his albums and seen him on TV and everything, so I have not doubt in my mind that it was him."

The man added that he had no idea the singer had died at the time of the sighting.

Re his debt, apparently he was millions of dollars in debt, around the $300 million mark, but once all assets etc are sold/taken into consideration, it will leave around $200 mill for distribution...

I remember seeing that Martin Bashir programme and seeing him walk into a store and buy so much expensive stuff that cost thousands each at the drop of a hat, so it doesn't really surprise me that he ended up in debt like it.

I just still can't get over how his father appears to be more interested in the money making side of things, than apparently grieving properly for the loss of his son - I know its been said that they didn't have the closest of relationships, but still.....

But I suppose everyone deals with grief and loss in different ways....

And so the conspiracy theories start. Someone once said 'conspiracy theories are for people who can't accept reality.'

While it is sad that he's dead, this grief by proxy thing is pathetic. Very few people have met him and know him personally. I don't understand how people who have never met him can say they're devastated, can't stop crying etc. Get over it folks and stop putting him on a pedestal.

Michael is a brilliant singer and dancer, possibly one of the best the world has ever seen. You only have to watch his early music videos to see that. The real Michael died years ago though.

The Times estimates his estate can be milked for 100m dollars a year if its done right. There's apparently a disc floating around of unreleased songs.

Michael Jackson's will has been filed in a Los Angeles court, giving his entire estate to a family trust. The document, dated 7 July 2002, also reveals the star "intentionally omitted" to provide for his former wife, Debbie Rowe.
Jackson's mother, Katherine, is named as a beneficiary of the trust and the guardian of the singer's three young children, who are named in the will.
It estimated Jackson's estate at that time to be more than $500m (£303m).
Custody rights
The Michael Jackson Family Trust would benefit his three children, his mother and unnamed charities, according to Reuters.

http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/45998000/jpg/_45998679__45987330_007570053-2-1.jpg Katherine Jackson is currently looking after the children

The news agency also reported that Jackson's five-page will said: "I have intentionally omitted to provide for my former wife, Deborah Rowe Jackson."
Rowe married Jackson in 1996 but filed for divorce in 1999. She gave up custody rights to the children but sought them again in 2003.
They agreed a settlement in 2006 but the terms were never disclosed.
She is the biological mother of Jackson's eldest children - Michael Joseph Jackson Jr, known as Prince Michael, 12, and Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, 11.

The singer's youngest son - seven-year-old Prince Michael II - was born to a surrogate mother whose identity has never been revealed.
Long-time friend and singer Diana Ross is also named as guardian for Jackson's children in the event that his mother was unable to fulfil her duties.
Katherine Jackson was granted temporary guardianship of Jackson's three children on Monday.
'Remarkable legacy'
The will said Jackson's estate consisted almost entirely of "non-cash, non-liquid assets, including primarily an interest in a catalogue of music royalty rights which is currently being administered by Sony ATV, and the interests of various entities".

http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/shared/img/o.gifhttp://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/nol/shared/img/v3/start_quote_rb.gif The most important element of Michael's will is his unwavering desire that his mother, Katherine, become the legal guardian for his three children http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/nol/shared/img/v3/end_quote_rb.gif

Executors John Branca and John McClain

That refers to the singer's share of the Sony/ATV Music Publishing catalogue that includes rights to the songs of The Beatles.
The will names Jackson's lawyer John Branca and John McClain, a music executive and a family friend, as co-executors of the will.
In a statement, Mr Branca and Mr McClain said: "The most important element of Michael's will is his unwavering desire that his mother, Katherine, become the legal guardian for his three children.
"As we work to carry out Michael's instructions to safeguard both the future of his children as well as the remarkable legacy he left us as an artist, we ask that all matters involving his estate be handled with the dignity and the respect that Michael and his family deserve."
Meanwhile, the Jackson family issued a statement saying that no "public or private viewing" of the singer's body would be held at Neverland.
Speculation of a viewing had prompted fans and reporters to gather outside the property, but the family said they would announce plans "regarding a public memorial" shortly.

they also mentioned on the news that he wont be able to be buried in neverland because there is no cemetery licence there

Abigail
01-07-2009, 22:34
Burying him at Neverland would be a risky business anyway. There'd be issues with the body and security if Neverland was to be sold, which I imagine it will be, and also with access for the family.

Diana Ross is a random choice for reserve guardian. Taking on three young kids at her age would be a task. Why hasn't Debbie got joint guardianship with Katherine? I know she gave up her rights to the children but if I was her I'd want to be there and take care of them now that their father is dead.

Perdita
02-07-2009, 05:45
But I believe that Debbie has never had any contact with the children, it will be so difficult for the kids to adapt to live with a total stranger, even if it is the biological mother, poor little mites.

A public memorial service for Michael Jackson will reportedly be held in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning.

According to Sky News, sources have confirmed US reports that the 'Thriller' star will be honoured in a ceremony at the Staples Centre at 10am.

The sports facility is owned by AEG Live, the company behind Jackson's comeback concerts in London.

It is understood that screens will also be installed outside the building for the thousands of fans who are expected to attend.

Jackson's family have yet to comment on the report, but recently dismissed speculation that his body would be put on public display at his Neverland ranch.

The 2,500-acre property had emerged as an early possibility to stage his funeral, but it has been suggested that his family were unable to obtain the necessary burial permit within the time limits.

From: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/a163278/jackson-wanted-to-adopt-suleman-kids.html

Michael Jackson wanted to adopt the eight babies of "Octomom" Nadya Suleman shortly before he died, it has been claimed.

The mother-of-14's ex-publicist Victor Munoz told The Mirror that Jackson's representatives had called him three times to enquire about him taking care of the babies before the singer himself got in touch.

According to Munoz, Jackson said: "Blanket would love to have more siblings. I could take care of all the babies, they could live with me and wouldn't need for anything. They would have a bright future.

"I want to take care of Nadya. She will be happy and won't have to worry about caring for her children anymore."

Munoz added: "It was creepy. He was basically offering to buy the children. I was a bit shocked. Michael clearly thought Nadya was unfit and decided he wanted to help those children.

"He sounded genuine. He was genuinely concerned about the children. He asked if they were all going to be healthy. But I just blew it off. I knew Nadya would never want to get rid of her kids so it wasn't important."

But appearing in public with their faces covered allows them anonymity. Does anyone apart from close family and friends know what his children look like?

One of Michael's close friends was on This Morning on Monday saying he could take the three kids out with his own kids and nobody knew who they were. They weren't hounded by the public, followed by the press, they didn't have their photos in the papers the next day and plastered all over the internet.

Look at the Beckham's and Katie Price. Their kids have very well known faces. They can't go out with family and friends without having their photos in the paper the next day. There was kidnap threats against Brooklyn Beckham and they had to step their security up.

Its all very well papers blurring out children's faces but those pictures still exist as originals with the child's face clearly visible. It only takes one person to circulate the original on the internet or print it in another media and then its fair game for kidnappers and other paparazzi to print.

Maybe some people do think it's extreme but Michael was simply protecting his children from the glare of the camera that he experienced for five decades. Is that so abnormal?

Friends and family of the late Michael Jackson will reportedly mourn his death in a private ceremony ahead of a confirmed public tribute.

According to Access Hollywood, the singer will be remembered in an invitation-only service before next Tuesday's memorial at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.

It is unclear where the private event will take place or who will be invited, although recent reports have suggested that Jackson will be laid to rest at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills.

Discussing the proposed public tribute, producer Ken Ehrlich said: "It will be a memorial service reflecting the dignity of what the family wants. It will be a fitting memorial to Michael Jackson – no dance numbers."

He added that there would be "some types of performances" but declined to reveal further details.

Keeping the kids out of the public eye is the one senisble thing Michael and the Jackson Family have done, but I still don't believe that those kids were conceived by him, Even with Michael having the skin condition that bleaches his skin his children would be born black of brown not white with blonde hair. Those kids are not his. Debbie Rowe has claimed she now wants custody of the children wow it's only taken her a week to come forward she must have been adding up all the dosh she would make, before she went to the press.

If those children are to have any hope of a normal upbringing then they need to be taken away from the Jackson circus alltogether before they become institutionalised like the rest of the family and they are institutionalised, you only have to see the way Latoyah behaved in the BB hosue and how she discussed her upbringing to know how her childhood was.

also, and im not being horrible here, but im getting fed up of my local radio station constantly playing michael jackson songs. yeh it was nice the day after he died to have a tribute show to him on there, but still having 1hr dedicated to him everyday and playing his songs almost every other song throughout the day is a bit ott. some of the songs i can hear 4 or 5 times within a few hours and its really starting to annoy me!

i dont mind hearing them occassionally or even a few once a day like you would every other song thats in the chart, but at least 6 michael jackson songs per hour is a bit much, especially when theyre the same songs being played over and over again, when they never used to bother playing them at all

I watched the memorial service and i'm might be a wrong but i feel the part with the his brothers and sisters and kids on stage was all for show

No sign of Liz Taylor or Mac Culkin at this service

The kid from Britian's Got Talent Shaheen Jafargholi sang at the service. The director of HSM Kenny Ortega was working with Jacko so introducted we are the world segement.

Some parts were sad

RIP Jacko you cant deny he was the king of pop and will always be a legend

When Jacko was on trial i never saw a lot of his so called family and friends show up to be by his side

Liz Taylor purposely did not attend. This from Digital Spy:

Elizabeth Taylor has revealed that she will not be attending the memorial service for her close friend Michael Jackson.

According to Sky News, the Oscar-winning actress was asked to speak at the service but declined the invitation.

Taylor, who referred to the service as "public whoopla", wrote on her Twitter page: "I certainly don't want to become a part of it. I love him too much."

She later wrote: "I just don't believe that Michael would want me to share my grief with millions of others. How I feel is between us. Not a public event. I cannot guarantee that I would be coherent to say a word."

Taylor, whose publicist confirmed that the quotes are genuine, offered the Jackson family her condolences, saying: "My love goes out to Katherine and Michael's beloved children."

Liz Taylor said she wants to grieve in private, not in front of a billion people.

Some people talked far too long. The closing ten minutes was the best with all the contributors on stage singing.

It appeared that Paris wanted to talk, I think it was a spur of the moment thing because they didn't have the mic ready.

Paris is 12, her father has just died and her mother who never wanted her suddenly does. You seriously think a child that young could fake that kind of response?

Janet was the one with the beret.

Call me cynical but I thought it was the biggest farce on earth. This wasn't a memorial to Michael, it was a political rally and a dig at the paparazzi. Most of the speakers spoke about how black americans have been able to acheive so much thanks to him BOLLOCKS!!! No-one mentioned his music, how many songs he has written over the years or the fact that he has the biggest selling album of all time even 25 years after it was released.

The end was like some choir on songs of praise. Were the fook was the Thriller tribute why did no-one do a moon walk? The whole thing was so glitzy and hollywood I was waiting on a director shouting CUT.

As for his young daughter she has been groomed well an actress in the making she can cry on cue. His family and kids sat for two hours listening to stars pay their respects and not one of them shed a tear but right at the end centre stage and with all the cameras of the world on her little Paris tug at the heart strings of the world. She will be well rewarded off stage.

The colour of his skin doesn't matter love him or loathe him he was one of the greatest entertainers, all the tributes were about his time at motown. He cut ties with Motown when he was 16 in 1974 because he wanted to write and sing his own songs and not one person recognised that. This should have been a celebration of his life an music. All that was missing was Willimenia from Ugly Betty trying to get his kids photo taking beside his casket for the front cover of Mode magazine.

Apparently according to some surgeons I saw on TV once debating this... its not possible to bleach your skin that white (from being coloured)... Also it's thought the reason he started wearing the one glove in the early 80's was to disguise his skin condition...

I'm not denying that Paris and her brothers loved their Father dearly and have been overwhelmed by the whole affair but I think that they have been advised to breakdown when the media is on her. If the Jackson Circus had any compassionate for their brother's children. They should never had had them at the service.

Abigail
08-07-2009, 23:06
But his children had a right to be there, just like his brothers and sisters did. Paris and Prince are both old enough to decide if they wanted to be there, it's slightly different for Blanket.

Aside from Michael's status, his children are going through the same grieving process as other children do when they lose a parent. They shouldn't be denied the chance to express their grief in whichever way if comfortable for them.

The sad thing is I don't think that his kids were allowed to grief for Michael the way they wanted to. The way I felt while watching it was that the whole event was staged and his family were dictated on how they were to behave in front of the media. The only three topics talked about was that Michael was a great african/american man, the music he sang while the Jackson were signed to Motown and the press coverage on his court battles that was it. There were no stories of Michael growing up with his sisters and brothers, no pictures of him and his kids.

I don't know who took responsibility for the memorial but it was not a fitting tribute to the musical genius that Michael Jackson was.

I'm sorry if I got anyones heckles up with my comments the last thing I want to do is start an argument, but for me I remember Michael all through the 80's and all the fantastic dance music he wrote and performed. Although I wasn't a huge fan his music and dancing were amazing and it was only when he started having all that plastic surgery and the court cases that the public started to dislike him.

I do agree that his kids had a right to be at the service but they should never have been thrown into the public limeight the way they were. That memorial service was not a memorial fit for a superstar that Michael was it was a controlled service by the same people who have controlled Michael and the rest of the jacksons.

Thinking back over what you've said in your previous posts Kath, you are right. The memorial service focused on Motown and the abuse allegations and not much else.

Michael left Motown years ago and never went back to it, yet the service didn't recognise that. It didn't acknowledge all the awards he won, the records he set and broke in pop or any of his career highlights.

As for the abuse allegations, the subject should never have been brought up at a ceremony to honour his memory.

I was at a sports day today for one of Marleys friends he lives in a residential home for kids with behavioural and emotional problems, there is about 40 kids live there ages from 7 to 14 years of age. There were loads of them doing moon walking all because of Michael. They know nothing of the life he had or the charges against him. They were Michael Jackson fans because he invented the Moonwalk and Tuesday should have been a celebration to the moonwalk not a freakshow to upset his children even more.

I honestly don't see the problem with keeping the thread open - just play nicely :)

From what I understood, MJ didn't hate the colour of his own skin, he had a skin condition causing it to lighten. He might not have liked his face and had surgeries, but he admitted to that and how many people other than MJ have had plastic surgery to change the way they appear.

As for the allegations, I don't think for one minute he wanted to cause anyone any harm - as a mother of 4 boys, if any SOB had touched my boys in anyway, shape or form, I would have taken them to court and no amount of money would have changed my thoughts on that - he would have been punished and humiliated - I certainly wouldn't have accepted a million dollar payout on its own, with no further charges to be brought. He was a boy thrust into the spotlight, who didn't have a childhood, who was beaten by his father - like him or loathe him, you wouldn't really want any child to be brought up in that way surely?!

But of course, all of the above, is my own point of view.

Problem with the child abuse was:

1. they were never proven
2. money talks and he was an easy target

There are numerous interviews with children who spent time with MJ that state nothing ontowards occurred. Not saying he's innocent cause you don't make a statement saying "its beautiful to share a bed with a child" unless your mentality is of a four year old.

For MJ it was probably the fact he could make a problem go away by throwing money at it. I would also be questioning the ethics of the boys family. Money isn't the solution when your child has been abused.

This whole affair stinks from both sides.

For those who don't know what Peter King said:

New York congressman Pete King has described Michael Jackson as a "pervert" and a "paedophile" and hit out at journalists for their positive coverage of the star since his death.

In a video posted by FriendsofPeteKing on YouTube, the Republican politician argued that it was wrong for "this low-life" Michael Jackson to receive such coverage when policemen, firefighters, soldiers and teachers do not get their due recognition.

King said: "Let's knock out the psychobabble. This guy was a pervert, he was a child molester, he was a paedophile and to be giving this much coverage to him day-in, day-out, what does it say about us as a country?

"We're too politically correct. No-one wants to stand up and say we don't need Michael Jackson. He died, he had some talent, fine. People are dying every day."

He added: "I really think the media has disgraced itself. I think too many people in public life have made fools of themselves by talking about Michael Jackson as if he's some kind of hero.

"There's nothing good about this guy. He may have been a a good singer, did some dancing. But the bottom line is would you let your child or grandchildren be in the same room with Michael Jackson?"

and

US congressman Pete King has defended his recent comments regarding media coverage of the death of Michael Jackson.

The Republican had previously described Jackson as a "pervert" and a "child molester" and opposed calls for a motion to honour the singer in the House of Representatives.

King told Fox News's The O'Reilly Factor: "The reason I was harsh, if you want to call it that, is I had to cut through this ten-day cacophony of glorification, this onslaught where he was being made out to be a saint or a hero.

"This man was a child molester. By his own admission he slept with young boys. You walk to a neighbourhood and say, 'If a grown man sleeps with young boys in his bed, is he a pervert?', 99 out of 100 people would say yes."

When it was noted that Jackson was not convicted of abusing children, King added: "I would say an adult male who sleeps with young boys is a child molester. If nothing else he's molesting and abusing their psyche.

"How are those children possibly going to end up normal after spending nights in bed with Michael Jackson?"

Michael was acquitted on all charges, what King has said is slander.

I'm more concerned for his children having to live through all this whilst grieving for their father. I hope the family are shielding them from most of the bad press reports, they shouldn't have to listen to and read that their father is a paedophile when he was proved innocent.

As for Jordan, would you as a parent accept a 20million dollar pay out if your child had been abused rather than go to court and see the abuser punished? I certainly wouldn't. When one has money, it is easy to make things disappear without much fuss.

I'd like to think not but if I was MJ and there was a real risk I would go to prison for something I hadn't done then I'd pay up. Michael Jackson's father has hinted that the superstar's children could one day follow in his famous son's footsteps.

Speaking to ABC News, Joe admitted that Prince Michael, 12, Paris Katherine, 11, and 7-year-old Blanket were already showing signs of wanting to become entertainers.

"I keep watching Paris. She wants to do something. And as far as I can see, well, they say Blanket, he can really dance," he said.

The 79-year-old went on to say that he and wife Katherine were the only people who should be allowed to raise the kids, explaining: "There's no-one else to do what we can do for them.

"We should keep them all together and then make them happy, feed 'em like they're supposed to be fed, and let them get rest, plenty of sleep and grow up to be strong Jacksons."

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/a164527/jackson-dad-kids-could-become-entertainers.html

Michael was so unhappy because his father pushed him into the entertainment business too early, I sincerely hope Michael's kids don't have to go through the same and somebody stops Joe exploiting them the same.

I can see them performing in years to come as people will be expecting them to be musicial knowing who their dad was. In my eyes they need to break the cycle and let the children have a proper life. There is only one way to stop Joe exploiting his grandchildren and forcing them into a miseable childhood like their father had and that is to place the children in someone else care. Aren't the parents quite old? It says in that article the father is 79. They may not be able to cope with the kids anyway, and, realistically may not live for years and years - is it really fair to give the kids to them to experience more death?

Most child stars seem to go wayward such as Lindsay Lohan, I hope they don't go into showbiz if they don't want to. Sometimes its hard to say no to relatives. And how can they be thinking of showbiz when their father has just died. Joe should just let them grieve in peace.

La Toya Jackson has claimed that her brother Michael was murdered by plotters who were desperate for his fortune.

The legendary singer's eldest sister vowed to uncover the truth about his shock death as she revealed her suspicions in an interview with the News Of The World.

Speaking to the newspaper, La Toya promised: "I know who did it and I won't rest until I nail them."

She added: "Michael was murdered. And we don't think just one person was involved. Rather, it was a conspiracy of people. I feel it was all about money. Michael was worth well over a billion in music publishing assets and somebody killed him for that. He was worth more dead than alive."

The Jacksons have already ordered a second independent autopsy in an attempt to discover the reasons for his fatal heart attack. An official report is due to be released in two weeks' time, however the family has already been given the results of toxicology tests on the body.

"I think everyone will be surprised when the results come out," La Toya confirmed. "I can't discuss that any further because of the ongoing police investigation."

The former Playboy model, who appeared on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year, also alleged that millions of dollars were taken from her brother's residence on the day that he died.

I thought he was facing financial ruin?!

Surely he might of been on paper worth a lot of money, but how would anyone other than the family benefit from this, if he died??? The parasites who hung on to him, surely would be better off if he was alive, and he was set to make a fair bob or two from the upcoming concerts?

If La Toya went to his house after his death, I can believe that his property, jewellery/money might have been stolen by some employees etc... as they would have the opportunity... However to state he was murdered??? Mmmmm...... just let the bloke rest in peace.

And it just get's worse.
THE mum of Jacko's two eldest kids has been bought off to drop her bid to get custody of the pair, it was claimed today.

A family source revealed the children's grieving grandma Katherine Jackson has handed over a whopping $4million to get grasping Debbie Rowe to give up her parental rights.
The disgusted Jackson confidant told the New York Post: "It's one final payday."
The Jackson family was not happy about the mega-payout — which was supposed to have been sealed in LA yesterday — but they considered it a necessary evil, the source said.

"Ransom"

The friend added: "They felt it was like a ransom-type thing. She (Rowe) jumped back into the picture because she wanted money."
Rowe was an assistant to Jackson's doctor when she met and subsequently married the Thriller singer.
They had two children, Prince Michael, now 12, and a daughter, Paris, 11, before they divorced in 1999.
Rowe, 50, had forfeited her parental rights twice before in exchange for large amounts of cash.
After she split with Jackson, she agreed to allow the star to raise them in exchange for a lump sum of $8million, plus $900,000 annually for five years, it is understood.
Then when Jackson was accused of child molestation in 2001, Rowe resurfaced to reclaim her rights.
But she wound up giving her ex-husband full custody of the children anyway — in exchange for another $4million plus a $900,000 home.
This time around, she is forfeiting her restored parental rights to Jackson's mother, Katherine, in exchange for yet another $4million, it was said.
The source added: "This would be it. This takes away any rights she has to challenge custody at any given time
"If something happens to Katherine, she (Rowe) can't challenge the next guardian, whether that be Diana Ross or someone in the family."
Neither lawyers for Rowe nor Katherine Jackson have commented on the report.
While it had been thought that Rowe was demanding that Jackson's abusive father, Joe, have nothing to do with the children, the source said there is no such language in the agreement
Joe Jackson is reportedly pushing his dead son's children — including Prince Michael II, seven, known as "Blanket" who was born to an unidentified surrogate using donor sperm — to form a new group, The Jackson 3.
But the source said: "That's something the family would absolutely not tolerate."
The King of Pop's siblings are themselves involved in a venture that has become much more lucrative since his death.
Jackson's five remaining brothers were filming a TV pilot for what they hoped would be a reality series about them launching a reunion tour.
The source said while the five initially agreed to be paid a total of between $200,000 and $300,000 for the pilot, they now want to add footage of Michael's funeral into the mix — and boost their take to "between $10million and $20million".

<LI sizcache="3" sizset="69">The man behind Michael Jackson's London shows said today he was hoping to finalise a one-off London show featuring the late star's brothers and sister Janet.
Promoter Randy Phillips, chief executive of AEG, said he was "confident" he would make a decision this week about whether a show to mark what would have been Jackson's birthday on August 29 should go ahead.
The 50-year-old singer - who died in Los Angeles last month as he prepared for a mammoth series of This Is It comeback shows - had been due to kick off his run last night at the 02 Arena in East London.

Ok.. so what to do when your son/partner/brother dies

1) pay of the "mother" of the children to keep the kids so you can put them in a tour (what if the kids are not even interested in singing, were they asked?)
2) Take above money from kids grandparents cause you need your cash that is now missing since the father died
3) exploit footage and personal stories about your brother so you have up your earns to 10 million each!!

Where is the sorrow in all this?? it seems that they are all out to make money Micheal...

I understood that Debbie Rowe and Katherine Jackson decided on a deal that allowed Katherine to have guardianship of the children, but Debbie to have visiting rights - all as long as Joe didn't have a say in their upbringing because of Debbies fears of the children being shoved into the limelight which was the one thing Michael expressed he didn't want to happen?? And that was why they both requested a delay on the order.

Debbie Rowe would have been granted visiting rights by a court if she had not try to exploit more money out of the Jacksons if the allegation is true but she only wants custody of two of the children but there are three children's welfare in question. Although the Michael and Paris are her's Blanket is there brother and you can't split the kids apart. Sadly I doubt there is one member of the Jackson family who care about those poor kids.

Dr Arnold Klein has reportedly said that he fathered Michael Jackson's two eldest children through artificial insemination.

The doctor, who acted as Jackson's personal physician before the singer passed away last month, is allegedly after guardianship of Prince Michael, 12, and 11-year-old Paris Michael Katherine.

A source told the Sunday Mirror: "Arnie is planning to fight for custody of Prince Michael and Paris. He says he can prove he is their father with Debbie [Rowe] (Jackson's ex-wife)."

The insider went on to reveal that the 'Thriller' star wanted Klein to father his children because of his high level of intelligence. "When Arnie was at college, he would get top marks without having to study - he had a photographic memory and instant recall.

"He becomes more than just a patient's dermatologist - he takes over their health care."

The source continued: "Arnie has told his close friends he is Prince Michael and Paris's father for years, while never giving a straight answer in public. He says he was paid nothing for the sperm but was paid for keeping the information confidential.

"The kids have grown up with 'Uncle Arnie' visiting the house and spending holidays with them."

Jackson's mother Katherine, who it has been suggested has a bitter relationship with the doctor, is currently applying to the court for permanent custody of the children, as well as 7-year-old Prince Michael II (also known as Blanket).

Klein has previously denied donating sperm to the late King Of Pop.

Michael Jackson's father Joe has insisted that he is not planning to transform the late singer's children into famous entertainers.

The 79-year-old, who was responsible for forming the Jackson 5, was rumoured to want Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and 7-year-old Blanket to become musicians and tour as the Jackson 3.

Speaking on CNN's Larry King Live, he said: "Not true. That's a bunch of jive. That's a bunch of... I wish I could say what I should say. That's a bunch of bull... I'm not encouraging them to do nothing. They have to be what they are, kids at the moment."

He went on to allege that he was "barred" access to the 'Thriller' icon before his death, explaining: "I could never get to him. I tried all I could and I could never get to him because he... I was barred away from him by securities and all that type of thing. I could not get to him."

Joe, who also claimed that he was "not hurt" to be cut out of the star's will, added that he had taken his son's passing "very hard" and repeated his belief that foul play might have led to the singer's cardiac arrest on June 25.

Everyone spoke of all the great things he achieved as a black man yet he coloured his skin white

He didn't, he had a skin condition that made his skin change colour.

I don't even think it's possible to bleach skin to that degree.

The New York Post would disagree

THE Michael Jackson thing. The bleach used to lighten his entire body was Benoquin lotion. Its change happened in degrees. Early photos show Michael's face and neck altering from dark to tan. It was gradual. When he finally became white and required ingesting anti-inflammatory drugs, the bleaching agent of choice was monobenzyl ether of hydroquinone. Oddly, pharmaceutical companies discovered its properties by accident. Take Latisse, cosmetology's newly hot drops that strengthen and lengthen eyelashes and are gotten via prescription. Its component was originally prescribed for glaucoma until people discovered the usage promoted lashes. In terms of this bleaching agent, it was discovered back when ladies wore latex rubber girdles. Whatever the chemistry to make such rubber malleable, African-American wearers suddenly realized their midsections had become lighter than the rest of their body. And thus a bleaching agent came onto the market.

I read about that in the case of a south african woman who had white parents and was raised in a white neighbourhood. When she got to around 8/9 her skin got darker but her parents put it down to her being out in sun a lot, by the time she got to secondary school her skin colour had darkened and she was not accepted as being white anymore and had a tough time. It was later discovered that somewhere back in her gene pool there were black people and the features had just started to come out at her generation. Anything is truly possible.

Blue eye is a recessive characteristic. The genetics for eye colour are really simple. You have two genes for eye colour, both need to be blue for you to have blue eyes. For brown eyes you can have either two brown genes or one blue and one brown. The physical colour of the eyes is the same in both cases.

Both my husband and I have blue eyes, so it is not possible under any circumstances for our children to have brown eyes.

My brother has brown eyes, as does his wife, and both their children have blue eyes. This is because both their granny's had blue eyes and my brother and his wife both have one gene blue and one gene brown. There is a 25% chance that any of their children have blue eyes, and as it happens they both do.

With regards to Michael, I don't think that those children are biologically his, either. But he is still their father.

Details of the autopsy on Michael Jackson have reportedly been revealed.

According to BBC News, the late singer had a strong heart and was "fairly healthy". He was also in a suitable scale for a man of his height.

However, the released document further states that Jackson had tattooed lips and punctured arms, while he suffered from lung damage and arthritis.

The University of California's Dr Zeev Kain, who reviewed the report, said: "His overall health was fine. The results are in normal limits."

Kain noted that several scars on the popstar's body were probably a result of cosmetic surgery and medical procedures.

Moreover, the official paper disclosed that Jackson was bald at the front of his head.

The full post mortem report has yet to be released to the public.

Last month, the Los Angeles Coroner's office ruled Jackson's death as homicide due to intoxication by anaesthetic. His doctor Conrad Murray is the focus of a manslaughter probe.

Pregnant Abbie Drinkwater was left stunned when she spotted dead singer Michael Jackson's face in her baby's ultrasound scan.

The 18-year-old was amazed when she saw the King of Pop's image staring back at her.

Abbie, who is expecting her first child, said: "The likeness is amazing.- at first I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

"I didn't notice it at first as I was so excited about seeing my baby. It wasn't until later when I was at home and just gazing at the scan picture that I saw Michael Jackson."

Abbie, a carer, went to show her boyfriend Daniel Pate, 23, who immediately recognised the 50-year-old singer.

"The image looks like Michael from his Thriller days. You can clearly see his curly hair, profile and even his white glove," said Abbie.

Abbie, who is 17 weeks pregnant, was a huge fan of singing sensation and had most of his albums.

"As a child I loved watching him and was always singing his songs. I thought he was a great performer.

"I grew up listening to Michael Jackson's music. My mum was a really big fan so his songs were always playing in the house.

"I bet a know most of them off by heart."

Abbie added: "It would have been great to see him perform again but sadly it was not meant to be.

"I watched all the tributes to him on the TV and found it very moving. Seeing his children their was very sad and I cried all the way through it.

"Michael Jackson was a great entertainer - the best I'd ever seen."

And in a bizarre twist, on the day Michael Jackson died, Abbie discovered she was pregnant.

"I remember crying when I heard he had died but then I found out I was pregnant so then I was really happy," she said.

Abbie and chef Daniel, from Burnley, Lancs, have decided to name their unborn Michael if it is a boy - in honour of the Smooth Criminal singer.

well this girl was on who suffered from the disease and she said that you go patchy so you have to bleach your skin in the end! but she said she knew because of the way he started to cover himself up when he was going white! put phil said it came back with his pm results that its true

"We have always liked the name Michael and our friends and family have all said that's what we should call the baby if it's a boy.

"So we've decided on the boy's name - in his honour."

Psychic medium Derek Acorah will attempt to contact Michael Jackson in a live séance on Sky1.

Two newly commissioned shows, Michael Jackson: The Live Séance and Michael Jackson: The Search For His Spirit, will air in November.

June Sarpong will host the events, which aim to give fans "a final chance to connect with their hero". The séance will apparently take place at a secret location which was once inhabited by the 'Thriller' popstar.

"There is an insatiable appetite to find out more about Michael Jackson. He was an extraordinary figure and the curiosity surrounding his life - and his death - stretches well beyond fans of his music," said Sky1 director of programmes Stuart Murphy.

"These programmes will explore whether it is possible to make contact with Michael and will seek to give his fans new insight into their idol."

Former T4 presenter Sarpong added: "I think viewers will find this programme intriguing and will want to tune in to see what happens. It's the first time I've done anything like this but I'm open minded and can't wait to see what Derek uncovers."

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/interviews/a185387/derek-acorah-michael-jackson-the-live-seance.html

Since being ousted from Most Haunted in the midst of a fraud storm, Derek Acorah's reputation as a respected medium has become somewhat tainted. Undeterred by the critics and skeptics, Acorah is now attempting his biggest - and most controversial - feat yet: a live séance with the late Michael Jackson. Not entirely convinced about his new offering, we called Derek to talk MJ, those Derren Brown comments, and find out if there's a possibility of him becoming possessed.

Attempting to contact Michael Jackson is, presumably, quite a big task. What made you want to do it?
"At the end of the day - well, the beginning of the day - I was a big fan of his. He's a fantastic entertainer and from a medium standpoint, it would be a privilege if we can achieve a connection with this great man. It could help the fans as well - millions of them are grieving him and if we can find a connection, he's likely to tell us about things we don't know about and help people who are still grieving. For them to know that he still lives on. Hopefully he's happy."

Michael didn't really do many interviews when he was alive - what makes you think he'll talk to you now?
"Nothing's set in stone - it's experimental. We can't command and demand that Michael step forward. However, I've just got that spiritual inclination that maybe Michael would like to do this. I will not know until very close to the time. If I pick up that Michael is in the atmosphere, I'll be a very happy man. If there's no connection, that's what will be. It's gonna be conducted honestly, with sensitivity, truth."

Have you spoken to any of his family about doing this?
"No, I haven't. So I don't know what their belief system is. The answer to that is no, unfortunately."

Have you tried anything like this before - contacting a dead celebrity?
"On a couple of occasions, yes. Not in the same way, but I've had contact from a number of famous people. The first one being in 1998 in Los Angeles at a theatre where we had a mixed audience of celebrities. Frank Sinatra made an entrance, which shook me out of my skin. There was a family member in the audience and he wanted to get a message to her."

What do you say to MJ fans who are disturbed by what you're doing?
"I would say, 'Believe me, it would be conducted with integrity, with the highest of respect for Michael.' If that doesn't help initially, it could be that Michael - if he's prepared to step forward - might not be alone. He might be with someone that's passed over before him - maybe a family member. You don't know what's going to happen. These sorts of instances have happened."

Someone that's criticised you quite publicly for this is Derren Brown. What do you make of his comments?
"He's looking for publicity! He always does it. Every time. I don't know why he wants to do it that way. We are worlds apart - Derren Brown is a magician and an illusionist. He can't do what I do and I certainly don't claim to do what he does. He's riding the publicity off my back."

Assuming you do manage to contact Michael, what will you talk to him about?
"Firstly, how is he? How is he feeling? What's the place like where he resides now? Are there people he's met before? Has he reunited with family members? I'd want all of his fans to know that he's well and that he's adjusted to the spirit kind of life and maybe he's quite happy. He can come and go as he pleases."

Is there a lot of pressure on you to speak to him?
"I'm certainly not going into it worried, I'm certainly not thinking that if he doesn't make contact it's a bad thing. What I have is a quiet, humbled expectancy. The most important thing is that I would like Michael Jackson to communicate with me alongside me. It's for the right reasons. It's my opinion that if he does make a breakthrough, he's gonna enjoy it a lot."

You'll have to excuse my ignorance if this is a silly question, but have you prepared yourself for the possibility of being possessed by his spirit? Could that happen?
"It's something I've never actually done. People say it but possession is against the will of the person where the spirit person has entered. They don't want it. But people have seen me in so-called scenarios of possession but it's when I've gladly channeled spirit energy in a short space of time without any real lasting effects. If Michael is capable and he puts it to me and he'd like to do this, I'm not going to object to it. If anything, it would give it more credence that Michael was there. Wouldn't you agree?"

There's a bit of mystery surrounding the location of the events. What can you tell us about that?
"I can't tell you anything because it's been kept secret from me. I will only know when I get called for and taken by the production company to wherever this location is."

Any thoughts on where it might be?
"The most important thing for the success of what we're trying to do is that the location should be of knowledge - somewhere that Michael has knowledge of and has spent pleasurable times and where it would have Michael turn around and think 'Where do I want to visit?' It could be a place he's visited where he has fond memories. I'm hoping maybe a piece of memorabilia or an artifact belonging to Michael will be available. That would help."

TELLY medium Derek Acorah last night claimed Michael Jackson had contacted him - and was adapting to being a ghost.

During a televised seance Acorah said the star was annoyed he had not been buried alongside Marilyn Monroe.

Speaking as Michael, he said: "I wished to lie alongside her. I suppose it's of no consequence."

Acorah reduced Jacko fans around the table to tears telling them Michael felt it was "paramount" to receive their love.

At the start, the medium said: "I'm being told he doesn't feel as if he can adapt himself channelling his spirit self.

"However he has arranged himself here to talk - ooh ooh, his words - to talk uninterrupted."

Later Acorah said Jacko - who died aged 50 in June - was spending time with his grandparents.

He said: "I'm only now starting to adjust to my spiritual life." One fan on the Sky1 show said: "I looked into Derek's eyes and it was him."

Joe Jackson has reportedly made a legal bid to receive an allowance from his late son Michael's estate.

A petition filed at the Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday claims that the King Of Pop financially supported his father for years up until his sudden death in June.

According to Reuters, court papers state that payments made by Michael to his mother and Joe's wife Katherine were passed on to the 81-year-old.

"Mr Jackson's circumstances require a family allowance because he is 81 years old and Michael Jackson supported him in the same manner as his wife Katherine Jackson, who was Michael's mother and who the court granted a family allowance on October 2," the document reads.

Joe was excluded "without cause and for no apparent reason" when the estate's administrators sought court approval for an allowance to help Katherine pay her expenses, it continued.

The legal action comes as the film This Is It, which charts the run-up to Michael's concert series of the same name, grossed more than $100m (£60.2m) internationally.

I think this is disgusting of him. If he does not get enough pension (don't know about the US system of retirement finance) then the rest of the Jackson brothers and sisters should help him out. Katherine is looking after Michael's children so she is entitled to some money from his estate. :thumbsdow

Sega's classic game Michael Jackson's Moonwalker will soon be released on Nintendo's Virtual Console.

According to a listing on the PEGI website, the game is to be given a 12 rating on the Wii due to its violent content.

Originally released in 1990, the 16 bit title was based on the 1988 feature film of the same name. Players took on the role of Jackson as he battles enemies and tries to rescue lost children.

The game, which included the songs 'Beat It', 'Bad' and 'Smooth Criminal', also featured an appearance from Jackson's pet chimpanzee Bubbles.

A Los Angeles judge has ruled that Michael Jackson's father will not inherit any of his late son's assets.

Joe Jackson had taken legal action over Michael's estate after discovering that he was not named in the pop legend's will.

According to BBC News, Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff has now dismissed the 80-year-old's objection, insisting that Michael's wishes must be respected.

Beckloff is quoted as saying in court: "I don't think he gets to step into this and create further litigation. Joe Jackson takes none of this estate. This is a decision his son made."

Jackson's request to secure an allowance from the singer's estate has yet to be considered. Judge Beckloff scheduled a hearing on the matter for December 10.

Meanwhile, the judge also rejected the talent manager's attempt to challenge the appointment of lawyer John Branca and music executive John McClain as administrators of the estate.

Michael, who passed away on June 25, left his assets to his mother Katherine, three children and various charities.

Michael Jackson was murdered, an amended death certificate for the late King Of Pop reportedly confirms.

The News Of The World obtained a copy of the documentation which was updated on August 31 by medical examiner Christopher Rogers to give the cause of death as "homicide".

Jackson died from "acute Propofol intoxication" due to an "intravenous injection by another", he concluded.

The original death certificate, issued less than a fortnight after Jackon's passing in June, did not give a cause of death.

A source said that the Jackson family are "keeping faith with the police", adding: "We still feel that there is more than one person responsible for Michael's tragic death. Joe won't give up on getting justice for his son and a lawuit is his focus."

A WEBSITE which claims Michael Jackson is still alive and masquerading as a burns victim is clocking up an astonishing one million hits per day.

Internet rumours on YouTube and Facebook also claim the King of Pop is appearing on TV talkshows as Dave Dave, 33, a man who suffered severe facial disfigurement after his father set him on fire.

The scenario might seem unbelievable, but one web forum regular said: "There's no doubt Michael Jackson is still alive. We have the evidence, now we want to let everyone know."

Dave was born David Rothenberg, in Brooklyn, New York. In 1983, aged just six, he survived a terrifying attack by his own father.

In a twisted attempt at revenge over a custody disagreement Charles Rothenberg poured kerosene over his little boy while he slept in a Californian hotel room and set him alight. Rothenberg later served six years in jail for the crime.

The little lad suffered more than 90 per cent burns and amazingly survived, but was left badly scarred.

His mother Marie, who later wrote a book about her son's ordeal which was turned into a TV movie, organised a trip to Michael Jackson's Neverland ranch as a treat, and the singing legend took the boy under his wing.

Dave, now a law student living in Utah, changed his surname to break all ties with his father.

He has said of Jackson: "He befriended me. He took me into his life, which is very rare for Michael to do.

"But he opened up his arms to me and accepted me as a very good friend of his. And throughout the years, he never let me go."

Dave appeared on the Larry King show to talk about his memories of Jackson on the day of the star's memorial service last year.

But the show sparked a series of rumours which have snowballed into an internet sensation and become a huge talking point on michaeljacksonhoaxforum.com.

Many bloggers have said Dave's high-pitched voice bears a remarkable resemblance to the singing legend's, and observers claim his eyes have changed colour from his previous blue/green to brown.

His extensive facial scarring is supposedly a perfect cover for Jackson's surgically altered features, while the Larry King clip has been posted hundreds of times on YouTube, with web users analysing the similarities in their mannerisms.

Souza, a blogger and administrator of michaeljacksonhoaxforum.com, asserts: "Michael Jackson attended Larry King Live on the day of the funeral disguised as Dave Dave."

The 28-year-old, from the Netherlands, runs the site, which gets around a million hits per day, with her friend Mo, a 40-year-old mum-of-two, and the pair call themselves Michael Jackson Death Hoax Investigators.

She told The Sun: "At first we started investigating Michael's death as it was a gut feeling we both had.

"The media told us two different stories. TMZ.com reported he died six minutes before the doctor pronounced him dead, and CNN kept telling us he was in a coma. What really happened still remains a mystery."

Lawyer Brian Oxman, who acts as Dave's spokesman, scotched the rumours, telling The Sun: "The stories that have surfaced on the blogs concerning Michael Jackson still being alive are part of the worldwide grief that everyone whoever loved Michael Jackson now feels.

"He was so remarkable that people find it difficult to believe he is no longer with us. They long for him to remain a part of our lives.

"Dave Dave is an extraordinary young man. Michael Jackson took care of Dave for many years and asked nothing in return.

"I have spoken to Dave within the past several weeks, and he is doing well. He is going to school in Utah, and he is studying to be a lawyer.

"I can assure you that while Michael Jackson would be thrilled that Dave would become a lawyer, Michael Jackson never wanted to be a lawyer himself. He would shudder at the very thought."

Jackson died aged 50 in June last year.

Michael Jackson's grave has reportedly been vandalised by his fans.

Jackson supporters were allegedly able to gain access to the Great Mausoleum at Los Angeles' Forest Lawn Memorial Park and wrote messages including "Miss you sweet angel" and "Keep the dream alive" in the cemetery.

A representative for the site told TMZ: "Activity such as this is a prime example why we are evaluating the level of access to the various entrances of the Great Mausoleum."

The messages were found in discreet places including under window ledges and behind bushes.

Fans are not allowed access to the cemetery where other stars such as Clark Gable and Jean Harlow were buried.

Is it vandalism even if nice messages are left in discreet places? I was imagining rude words across his headstone or so

Michael Jackson's body may have to be exhumed as part of Conrad Murray's involuntary manslaughter trial next year, it has been claimed.

According to the News of the World, lawyers for the doctor want to challenge allegations that he killed the late popstar with an overdose of Propofol. They reportedly want to contest the original autopsy and prove that Jackson could have died from other forms of drug misuse.

A family friend said: "This is a horrifying situation the family have been dreading. They laid Michael to rest and for him to return is just sick."

Attorney Ed Chernoff has allegedly already been granted permission to retest frozen samples taken from Jackson's body after his death.

The source added: "If the tests don't concur with the coroner's findings, they have the start of a strong defence. The logical next step would be to exhume the body to make new tests."

Dr Conrad Murray is to face trial for the death of the late Michael Jackson.

TMZ reports that the doctor will stand trial for involuntary manslaughter after attending a preliminary hearing from January 4 until today, during which Judge Michael Pastor decided that there is "sufficient evidence" for the case to proceed.

"It was not Michael Jackson's time to go," Deputy District Attorney David Walgren said in his closing statement.

"Michael Jackson is not here today because of the negligence and reckless acts of Dr Murray."

If convicted, Murray will face a maximum of four years in jail.

He is accused of giving Jackson a lethal dose of propofol along with other sedatives. Murray has pleaded not guilty.

Conrad Murray found Guilty of Involuntary Manslaughter

Michael Jackson's personal physician, Dr Conrad Murray, has been found guilty of the involuntary manslaughter of the star by a jury in Los Angeles.

A panel of seven men and five women took two days of deliberation to reach a verdict.

Michael Jackson died on 25 June 2009 from an overdose of the powerful anaesthetic propofol.

Murray, 58, could now receive a maximum prison term of four years and lose his licence to practise medicine.

There was a shriek in the courtroom as the verdict was read.

Outside the courthouse, the BBC's Peter Bowes said that at the moment the verdict was read, the crowd along the street erupted with cheers and chanting.

Jackson's family sat in the courtroom, weeping quietly.

LaToya Jackson told the Associated Press news agency the family was overjoyed at the verdict.

"Michael was looking over us," she said.

Jackson was rehearsing for a series of comeback concerts
During the trial, Dr Murray's lawyers argued that Jackson self-administered a lethal dose of the drug while he was out of the room.

Dr Murray was remanded in custody without bail until he receives his sentence, set for 29 November.

Explaining his decision, the judge said Dr Murray was now a convicted felon and had considerable ties outside the state of California, meaning he could not guarantee that the doctor would remain in the state.

Dr Murray sat silently in court, shifting slightly in his seat as the verdict was read out.

Court officers began to handcuff the physician as the judge made his final announcements, before leading him away into custody.

'Drug addict'
The jury - made up of one African American, six whites and five Hispanics - deliberated on Friday and through the morning on Monday.

LA District Attorney Steve Cooley said the verdict sent a strong message
Outside the court, fans of Michael Jackson were cheering and chanting, "Guilty! Guilty!" in the run-up to the verdict being announced.

During the six-week trial, 49 witnesses and more than 300 pieces of evidence were presented to the court.

Michael Jackson, who had been out of the public eye for several years, died in 2009 as he was preparing for a series of comeback performances at the O2 arena in London.

In his closing argument last Thursday, the prosecution said Dr Murray had caused the star's death through negligence, depriving Jackson's children of their father and the world of a "genius".

The defence argued that Jackson was a drug addict who caused his own death by giving himself an extra dose of propofol while the cardiologist was out of the room at the star's rented mansion in Los Angeles.

However, lawyers for Dr Murray dropped a key argument midway through the trial - that the pop superstar had drank the propofol. But they continued to argue that Jackson had somehow dosed himself otherwise.

Each side of the trial called their own expert witness on the anaesthetic drug,

There is no law against administering propofol, but the prosecution's case rested on the argument that Dr Murray was grossly negligent by doing so outside a hospital setting and without the proper monitoring equipment.

In some of the more shocking moments of the trial, the jury heard a recording of Jackson, sounding incoherent and slurred, speaking about his upcoming concert series, as well as viewing a photo of a lifeless Jackson on a gurney.
