CORRIE'S Ramsey Clegg is set to leave Weatherfield - and break the heart of Emily Bishop.
Ramsey, played by Fawlty Towers star Andrew Sachs, 79, returns to Australia later this year.

But first he will win over Street legend Emily, played by Eileen Derbyshire, 78.

Ramsey is lodging with her while visiting his estranged half-brother Norris Cole (Malcolm Hebden).

The first to notice Emily is smitten is best friend Rita Sullivan (Barbara Knox). After a lengthy visit to the hairdressers, she asks Emily: "I take it the hair isn't for my benefit?"

Norris later pops home for lunch and finds the curtains closed - and the couple snuggled up watching Emily's old slideshows.

He turns on the lights and gasps: "What on earth is going on in here? Why have you got the curtains drawn in the middle of the day?"

WOW i never saw this coming - Norris is going to be so upset

I wonder why Norris is so mad at Ramsey?

My friend mentioned it to me weeks ago and I kept saying no way it will be Rita that Ramsey will go for - how wrong was I!

It's about time Emily had some decent story instead of just popping into the shop and rovers, It will be a laugh seeing Norris go mad when he finds out.

Shame Ramsey is leaving again shortly which means that Emily will be lonely again. They should try to convince Andrew Sachs to stay, then they can let Emily have a bit of romance again.

I think Emily deserves some happiness and I hope he does stay longer
