I'm trying to pay for something and its coming up with this:

"This card cannot be used for this transaction. You can complete the checkout with another debit or credit card. Please enter your new card information below."

I have enough money in the account, and I bought a different item about half an hour ago. Any idea what could be up? I don't have another card!

Try logging out and logging in again. Are you using the same site to buy the item?

Yeah I have. I will try restarting the computer.

Same site, different buyer. But this buyer is power seller, 100% positive feedback.

It should make a difference who the seller is. Maybe its something to do with Paypal or whatever you're paying with.

I think I know what the problem is. One card registered on two different paypal accounts. Couldn't get access to the first one so I created another one but I've remembered that I registered my mobile not the home phone (security thing) so I entered that but alas now they want security quesitons...which I've forgotten. :lol: The other thing is my debit number. The old one which I cut up and threw away because it expired. -facepalm-

I'm going to see if I can hunt down the number in old bank records. I don't want to ring them unless I have to its one of those expensive 08 numbers. But I need access to the first paypal account so I can remove the card and it should work again...

Google saynoto0870 to get the freephone number for the company. They do 0845, 0870 and another 08 number

So I rang the bank to ask them for the expired number, got that, managed to log in, deleted one account - strangely that had a different debit number!! - ...but now I have this. Off to ring the bank again then..

This credit card has been refused by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was refused, please contact your credit card issuer's Customer Service department.

Oh joy bank music....:rolleyes:

Edit: Transferred to debit help...she's now asking fraud about the card because my card has a marker on it...call has been 27 minutes so far. :/

Hoorah I have passed fraud. Fingers crossed the card works now! I have to wait 10 mins.
