APPRENTICE runner-up Kate Walsh is going back on the box — after bosses at GMTV told her: “You’re hired!”
The blonde Brummie, 27, will present a slot on Monday’s show with Lorraine Kelly about what women should wear in the office in the summer.
And the gig is set to be the first of many for Kate — snapped by a reader shopping in Ikea with Apprentice squeeze Philip Taylor.
A source said: “Kate is desperate to get a career in telly.
“She did a screen test for GMTV and they liked her.
"The plan is for her to do some stuff with Lorraine and then get something regular.”
Kate narrowly missed out on the £100,000 job after Sir Alan admitted she and Yasmina Siadatan were two of the best candidates he has had on the BBC1 show.
