As Molly (Vicky Binns) and Kevin (Michael Le Vell) set off for a run together the sexual tension is electric. There’s an awkwardness between them as both know what’s coming but are trying to ignore it. However as they finish their run in the park they can no longer fight their urges. Buoyed up on adrenaline and sexual tension they collapse on the grass and kiss passionately.
Back on the street Kevin’s furious as Rosie (Helen Flanagan) takes delivery of a new sports car. He can’t believe she’s wasted £23k on a car when she can’t even drive. But Sally’s (Sally Whittaker) thrilled with her daughter’s new found wealth, as is Luke (Craig Kelly). While admiring both the car and Rosie he reapplies the pressure on her to invest in Underworld. Rosie’s basking in the attention but will she see through Luke?
Tony (Gray O’Brien) comforts Maria (Samia Smith) who’s fed up of being fat and waiting for the baby to arrive. Audrey (Sue Nicholls) and Natasha (Rachel Leskovac) gossip about Maria’s burgeoning relationship with Tony, convinced there’s more to it than just friendship.
As Jason (Ryan Thomas) celebrates his birthday he gets his best present when Tina (Michelle Keegan) agrees to join him for a drink in the Rovers. Eileen’s (Sue Cleaver) also cheered when Jesse (John Thompson) agrees to come.
Meanwhile when Kirk (Andrew Whyment) offers to play Hia-lowa for Jesse’s General Custard act, Jesse agrees to give him a trial at a children’s fete that afternoon.
As Molly (Vicky Binns) and Kevin (Michael Le Vell) pull apart and set off back to the street they’re both in denial about the affair they’re starting. But when Sally (Sally Whittaker) tells Kevin to get Molly to work on the garage accounts they’re thrown back together. Unable to resist the sexual tension things are soon hotting up in the garage until Rosie (Helen Flanagan) appears. Are they about to be rumbled?
Tony’s (Gray O’Brien) furious with Janice (Vicky Entwistle) when she loses one of Underworld’s best customers. When Rosie then announces she’s done a deal with Luke (Craig Kelly) and is now his partner, with a 9% share and a design remit Tony’s further unimpressed. However in a bid to make the best of a bad situation Tony says he’ll accept it on the condition that Rosie takes back her old job as PA and demotes Janice. Will Rosie agree?
Over at the Rovers Tina (Michelle Keegan) joins Jason (Ryan Thomas) for a celebratory drink. But just as she gives him a birthday kiss David (Jack P Shepherd) walks in. His jealousy evident David fumes as everyone waits to see how he’ll react.
Tony’s (Gray O’Brien) worried when he can’t get hold of Maria (Samia Smith). Finding her in the pub he causes a bit of a scene by telling her off in front of her friends for switching her phone off. Maria’s furious and as the pair bicker Eileen points out that they’re behaving like a married couple.
And as Kirk (Andrew Whyment) arrives back from his first stint as Hia-Lowa Eileen’s (Sue Cleaver) shocked to hear how the kids set light to his head dress and made him jump in the pond. But she’s soon distracted when Jesse (John Thompson) invites her back to his parents’ empty house.

PI for Wednesday 1 July.
Tony’s (Gray O’Brien) furious to find he’s got a meeting scheduled for Monday and tells Luke (Craig Kelly) he won’t be available until after Maria’s baby is born. Luke points out it isn’t even his kid but Tony’s adamant that he’ll be there for her. Maria (Samia Smith) meanwhile is fed up of waiting for the baby to arrive and decides to take matters into her own hands by going for a long walk. Tony obliges and they head for Crosby beach. But when Tony’s distracted by Ozzy Maria suddenly goes into labour. Looking round the deserted beach Maria’s starts to panic.
The factory girls are stunned as Rosie (Helen Flanagan) announces that she’s bought a share of the business and is now their new boss. Sally’s (Sally Whittaker) smug but as she tells Kevin (Michael Le Vell) his reaction is more subdued. Kevin’s mind is elsewhere and unable to stay away from Molly he finds her in the corner shop. Turned on by the risk element the pair kiss. But are they about to be discovered?
Eileen’s (Sue Cleaver) all loved up after spending the night with Jesse (John Thompson). Jason (Ryan Thomas) meanwhile is smitten with Tina (Michelle Keegan) but when he suggests they spend the evening at home and get a takeaway Tina accuses him of being unromantic. So when a florist delivers a single red rose to Tina she’s thrilled thinking it must be from Jason. But is he the only man with his eye fixed on her?
Lloyd’s (Craig Charles) fed up as he still can’t get in touch with Liz and suspects she might have met someone else in Spain.

PI for Friday 3 July.
Maria’s (Samia Smith) labour pains are acute and as Tony (Gray O’Brien) races to her side he scans the deserted beach in panic. With no-one insight and no signal on his phone Tony carries a terrified Maria over the sand dunes and into a beach hut. Managing to get a faint signal Tony calls for an ambulance but as Maria’s contractions come faster it looks like help won’t get there in time.
Desperate for some time alone with Kevin (Michael Le Vell), Molly (Vicky Binns) concocts a plan. She suggests to Jack (William Tarmey), Connie (Rita May) and Tyrone (Alan Halsall) they have an evening at the dogs but then feigns a headache and insists they all go along without her. Molly texts Kevin telling him to come round but as he’s about to set off Sally (Sally Whittaker) arrives home and insists he joins her, Sophie (Brooke Vincent), Ben (Lucien Laviscount) and his parents for pizza. Will Kevin make his getaway?
Steve’s (Simon Gregson) promised to make more of an effort with Slug (Marshall Lancaster) but stuns Becky (Katherine Kelly) by saying he wants them to get married ASAP. Becky’s thrilled at the prospect of a summer wedding but when Slug calls in the Rovers Steve struggles to be civil. Slug’s well aware he’s jealous and plays on it.
Jason’s (Ryan Thomas) puzzled when Tina (Michelle Keegan) thanks him for the rose. It soon becomes clear he wasn’t behind her surprise and guessing David was Tina fumes.
When Sean (Antony Cotton) accompanies Jason to the gym he spots Leon (Andrew Langtree), a guy who clearly takes his fancy. Is Sean about to get bitten by the gym bug?
Maria (Samia Smith) and Tony (Gray O’Brien) look every bit the proud parents as Audrey (Sue Nicholls), Fiz (Jennie McAlpine), Kirk (Andrew Whyment) and Natasha (Rachel Leskovac) arrive at the hospital. As they coo over the baby Maria recounts the details of her dramatic birth and what Tony did for her. They discuss names but it’s not until they’re alone that Maria announces she’s going to call the baby Liam. Tony’s floored by this reminder of how he robbed the child of his father. As he kisses the baby’s forehead Tony’s inwardly sorry for killing Liam.
Tyrone (Alan Halsall) arrives back early from the dogs and is surprised to see Molly (Vicky Binns) dressed sexily with a bottle of wine on the table. Molly pretends it was a surprise for him and quickly despatches him to the cornershop, just as Kevin (Michael Le Vell) calls to tell her he can’t make it. In a panic Molly hustles him into the house and pushes him out of the back door just as Tyrone returns home. Is Tyrone about to discover his best mate with his missus?
As Ramsay (Andrew Sachs) thanks Emily (Eileen Derbyshire) for a lovely evening at the church social it’s clear Emily is smitten with Ramsay and Norris (Malcolm Hebden) is very put out. Emily wishes Ramsay could postpone his plans for Australia but Norris can’t wait for him to go.
Tina (Michelle Keegan) suggests to Jason (Ryan Thomas) that they should buy a property together to do up. He’s stunned by how quick she’s moving but when Tina explains it’s purely a business proposition will his attitude change?
And Eddie (Steve Huison) proposes to Anna (Debbie Rush). She’s heard it all before but how will she react to his heartfelt plea?
