Coronation Street is to produce another comedy spinoff DVD following the success of last year's Out Of Africa release.
Roy and Hayley Cropper - played by David Neilson and Julie Hesmondhalgh respectively - will jet off to Romania when a face from their past invites them to attend her lavish wedding to Romanian football star Dean Fraser.
Although the odd couple's Transylvanian trip goes from bad to worse when a problematic flight causes them to miss the nuptials, they look forward to the prospect of a break at their luxury Eastern European villa.
However, despite their best intentions, their quiet break is disrupted by the arrival of brash couple Verity and Glen, who claim to be Dean's aunt and uncle.
Unable to stand Glen and Verity's vulgar antics, Roy and Hayley quickly cut short their break and return to Weatherfield, but events soon take a surprise twist when they stumble across their surrogate daughter Becky Granger (Katherine Kelly).
Filming is due to begin in the summer in time for a Christmas release of the DVD.
Last year, Wendi Peters reprised her role as Cilla Battersby-Brown for South African DVD special Out Of Africa.
Other Coronation Street DVD specials have seen the comeback of Bet Gilroy and Reg Holdsworth in 1999 with The Rover Returns!, while the 2000 release of Viva Las Vegas! followed Jack and Vera Duckworth (Bill Tarmey and Liz Dawn) on their Sin City break.
