Almost 5 million viewers tuned in for the nominations twist on Wednesday night, according to early ratings figures.
The live show drew an average of 4.56 million - a 21% share of the available audience - in an earlier 9pm timeslot, beating off all other terrestrial competition, including ITV1's returning Holiday Showdown.
Dermot's BBLB managed 1.21 million (8.9%) at 5.25pm, ranking fourth place amongst the terrestrials. Subsequent E4 repeats picked up 431,000 (3%) and 454,000 (3.2%) at 8pm and 10pm respectively.
Big Brother's Big Mouth had 211,000 (1.6%) at 7.30pm, with an extra 116,000 (0.8%) via E4+1.
