Dales actress announces third pregnancy

Emmerdale star Charlotte Bellamy has announced that she is expecting her third child with partner Mungo Denison.

The 36-year-old, who plays Laurel Thomas in the ITV rural soap, will be written out of storylines later in the year as she takes maternity leave from October. She is expected to return to filming in the New Year.

Speaking of the news, she said: "We are all really looking forward to welcoming our new addition to the family, due to arrive in October."

An Emmerdale spokeswoman added: "It is fantastic news and we are all delighted for Charlotte and Mungo."

Bellamy and Denison already have two children, a four-year-old boy called Sunnie and another boy called Herbie.

Unlike previously, her third pregnancy will not feature as part of her ongoing storyline with screen husband Ashley Thomas (John Middleton).

Congratulations to them :cheer: This would have fitted in nicely with the ongoing storyline about Laurel wanting another baby and Ashley not - shame they are not building her pregnancy in.

Emmerdale actress Charlotte Bellamy gave birth to her third child this morning.
The 36-year-old - who plays Laurel Thomas in the soap - and her partner Mungo Denison welcomed their first daughter Teddie Boo Florence into the world at 11.05am. She weighed 7lbs 9oz.
Speaking of her new arrival, Bellamy said: "She is beautiful and perfect and we are totally over the moon!"

Emmerdale actress Charlotte Bellamy has explained why she chooses unusual names for her children.

The star, who plays Laurel Thomas, recently gave birth to her third child, daughter Teddie Boo Florence, who joins her two sons Sunnie, 4, and Herbie, 2.

Bellamy told Inside Soap: "I was inspired by my partner because he's called Mungo - I seem to like names that are a little out of the ordinary."

She added: "We pick them from random places, such as fields or somewhere we've heard other people mentioning. For example, I heard someone call her child Herbie about ten years ago and loved it."

The actress also revealed that her partner is often too busy to watch her on Emmerdale.

She said: "He'll have a look if I make him, but it's difficult to keep up."
