The number of regular posters has risen recently I think. There are a fair few posts by non-coloured, junior users.

Awww wow thats so good :D

I agree with chris though it is a shame that only a few of us post, so we better keep posting then :p
But I also agree with Abigail I think the amount of posters have risen, I mean I know I post an awful lot but ive been cutting down but ive noticed that whilst Ive been cutting down and not being here much the posting has still be pretty normal as far as I can see

The number of posts takes peaks and troughs as there are times of the year like the summer hols were more poeple are around to post but at the moment some members may not be posting as more as they usually do because they are studying for exams. There are a lot of new members who don't post many, which is a shame as we don't bite honest. Come on all you shy ones come and say hi.

I know it would be great if we had some new posters become more regulars like some of us
I think the last lot of newbies were like perdita and kirsty who are now well loved regulars :p

I think its a nice number, and I think if Rimmer and the mods went thru the members list and trimmed it down, the number would be alot smaller :(
There are loads of lurkers,, or people sign up and forget they are on board ???

Some people just want to read the spoilers and perhaps a couple of other threads they are interested in but don't wish to post any comments, which is ok. Or they are members on other forums and just don't find the time to post on here as well.

There is also a few who take time to post.. I know Vicky signed at the same time as me but only started regularly posting a year later.. give the newbies a chance... but I like the adopt (stalk) a newbie idea :lol:

Abigail

That was me, I signed up then forgot about it for a year or so. I think I've been a regular for three years now.

I think the peaks and troughs thing is also dependent on whether the soaps have good storylines or not. I haven't been as big a fan of EastEnders for example since 2006 when it got really boring on the whole. More people like to talk about the 'sensational' storylines which despite what the soaps may say, don't come around that often; I think.

Some people also probably just want to read the spoilers and signed up because there's a limit to the number of posts you can view without doing so.

I have more confidence to post on internet forums than I have to talk to people I don't know very well face to face. I'd guess that some are the opposite and so don't post much.

I will carry on posting for as long as this board is still here :cheer: haha it really is like a little online home, I think its great that there's still quite a few of us that have been here since the start instead of just forgetting about it.

Abbie

I agree :D

I will keep posting as long as its here :p

I will keep posting as long as it's here. If someone has said to me five years ago your going to spend most of your nights chatting on the Internet I would have laughed in their face as about 12 years ago my sister got her computer and her and her partner at the time used to spend a lot of time in chatrooms and it was with a dial-up conection so you can imagine their phone bills. She was always trying to get me to join one and I was like no way hoosie I'm not talking to someone I don't know or can't see. Then I got my own PC and began reading the bbc spoiler to catch up with episodes of ee that I had missed but that shout down and I was directed her. I can remember posting my first comment thinking god I'm going to be told to beat it but no my comments were answered and then I gradually built up the confidence to say Hi on Shoutbox.

As Chris says it's not only a forum it's like a family. If you don't feel like posting you can just come for a chat on shoutbox and there is some weird and wonderful conversations going on some nights we can go from the happy, to sad, to the total mental within a couple of posts.

What I love about here is that we can have a diffrence of age group all interacting brilliantly together and it's amazing to see that a lot of members who were still at school when they joined now are either at Uni or getting ready to go. It's just like watching them grow up and let's not forget the many SB babies that have been born during the time this forum has been online

So if your not long joined this forum or have been around for a while and are a bit shy come and say Hi there's plenty of room in here for new family members.

I know I'm not around posting as much as I used to, but then having 4 kids (and the hubby lol), plus the business etc, means I don't get a chance to come on as much and spend a huge amount of time here.

But I'll always be here and posting, whether it be small amounts, through read and run, or some nice essays

This was my first forum, the original for me, and I only belong to one other now.

And people are right when they say, SB's is more like a family than a forum of friends.

I have been on the SB's about the same amount of time as Shiv, Kath and a bunch of others, not only have I found some life long friends, I have found a new FAMILY, we all have shared some good and bad times of our lives. We have seen new babies come in, weddings, divorces and all sorts of things in our lives,,
Rimmer:bow: thanks so much for setting up a HOME AWAY FROM HOME for some of us..:cheer:

As this is my 7000th post and I'm about to be Tangoed I couldn't pick a more approraite thread to post in. In the last four years I have met wonderful funny, mad, compasionate and unique members on here that I have never met in real life and I adore every one of you. So I'm raising my cup of Scottish blend tea to each and everyone of the members who I have had the privlage of laughing with and winding up (Sorry EE fans) and to the members who I have not had met but hope to do so soon.

As most member on here will know I'm a serious 24 addict and there is only one-line that I can some up this is to Rimmer as some may know I have had the privlage of meeting. As Jack said at the end of day 4.

Not good when you have to wait for the bus then :thumbsdow I hope to drop down to 3 subjects but the head of 6th form is trying to avoid letting anyone :( It's pointless me carrying 4 on becuase I know which 3 I want to take to A2.

Hmm yeah.
Yeah they said if we didn't turn up to the lesson we wanted to drop we wouldn't be able to do it...I just paid no attention to philosophy those three weeks lol. I guess they want you to wait until you get the grades or maybe change your mind.
