Perhaps they could have a storyline in the future where Nick returns to try and get all of Dot's money and tries to kill her....
Has that ever been done before? :hmm:
I think the mystery visitor to the Jacksons is Whitney's mum.
A break of Ronnie/Roxy/Jack? I like Ronnie but the show is in danger of becoming the Ronnie Show. She needs a break for while.

 although it was the Stacy Show last week
Over in EastEnders, Dawn's (Kara Tointon) struggling for cash but despite her intention to bring some honest money into the house by modelling jewellery, her boyfriend Garry (Ricky Groves) isn't impressed. Realising Dawn's situation - and thankful for encouraging him to stay on the wagon for Ben's (Charlie Jones) sake - Phil (Steve McFadden) offers to loan her a stack of notes. However, when Garry gets wind of Phil's offer, he's livid.
Noticing that Phil's paying a lot of attention to Dawn (and furious that she has her old job), a drunken Shirley (Linda Henry) knocks a couple of glasses of champagne down Dawn's top. Phil suggests that she head upstairs to dry off while he ejects Shirley and has a word with Garry about the loan. As she's changing in Roxy's bedroom, Phil walks in on her while she's half-naked.
Dawn's embarassed until Phil reveals that Garry's agreed to accepting his loan so they can buy Minty and Naomi out of their shares in the flat. A grateful and scantily-clad Dawn hugs Phil, before throwing on some clothes and returning downstairs to the bar, where Garry delivers the news that neither Minty nor Naomi are willing to sell up.
Could Phil be the "spanner in the works" that puts Dawn and Garry's relationship to the test?

Does anyone else think that this reminds them of Phil's crush on Mel years ago and we all know way that turned out.
Oh don't say Dawn is going to start sleeping with Phil.
I don't think she will sleep with him, she is just grateful, but Garry will not see it that way. But then, usually the opposite of what I predict happens so you don't know
This is the dramatic moment that a gas explosion causes a huge fireball to rip through Ian Beale's café in EastEnders.
Despite his best laid plans to murder his 'Ma' Dot (June Brown), Nick Cotton (John Altman) is furious to discover that his daughter Dotty (Molly Conlin) has revealed their fatal plot to kill for their inheritance. Tracking the youngster down to the launderette, Nick bundles Dotty into the back of his car but as he attempts to flee the Square, he crashes into the market flower stall.
Feeling cornered, Nick grabs Dotty and hauls her into the café with him before locking the door and trapping the locals inside, including Whitney (Shona McGarty), Lucy (Melissa Suffield), Bradley (Charlie Clements) and Syd (Nina Toussaint-White).
As those outside realise what's happening, Nick's completely oblivious to the fire which has broken out in the kitchen area. Catching the wayward Cotton unaware, Whitney's male friend (Neil McDermott) wrestles him to the ground, allowing Bradley to usher everyone to safety. All hostages escape, but as the fire blazes, Nick remains inside.
Seeing the worry on Dot's face, Bradley makes a split-second decision to rush back inside to save her son. However, a struggle between the pair ensues as Nick refuses to leave with him. Nick heads for the back door while Bradley attempts his escape through the main entrance. Bradley spots a burst gas pipe and at that moment, the café explodes with him inside.

Poor Bradley trying to be a hero :(
I wish EE would kill off Nick one and for all now
BTW is Dotty really his daughter?
I am sure that Nick will be killed off in the explosion or at least he will be arrested and jailed, so hopefully he is leaving EE for a long time to come. This storyline is ridiculous imo, could have done more with his character returning. Its all too predictable. :thumbsdow:

Eastenders have done the same with Nicks return as they have Clare Bates return, well and truly screwed it up. But with the likes of Ricky/Bianca returns they have succeeded, I think this is because these characters are loved by the nation, where as the others are hated or in Clares case unknown characters. They brought Clare back and tried to make her the same character as she was in Hollyoaks and the fans didn't like this.
I think we all love a good villain such as Archie, Larry Lamb was given a great script and is a brilliant actor, with Nick and Clare the scriptwriters were a bit lazy imo, copied Clare's character from HO and gave Nick a 7-year-old daughter more evil than her father, or so we were supposed to believe. No child of that age would dream of killing somebody for money, fgs.

Archie has to be the squares best villian for years. I agree on the writers part, they could have easily made Clare a nice character instead of copying her character from HO. As for Nick there was no point in bringing him back, we could have just had 'evil' Dotty to be the normal problem child, minus the whole trying to kill Dot.

it says in the spoilers for the week after the visitor is her mum, so the guy could be her brother. although i still think he might have something to do with tony cos they look sort of similar

nor have i but im sure i read somewhere that someone dies in the fire and it seems that bradleys the only one left in there
I prefer the spoiler about Nick disappearing and nobody knowing what happened to him than Bradley dying. Perhaps it is somebody else that dies, an extra maybe, therefore not too much info beforehand. If it is a regular character, we usually know weeks beforehand which way they are leaving the show.

Nick and Dotty put their plan into action
Airs on Monday, June 1 2009 at 20:00 BST on BBC One
At Dot's, Dotty's fixing a clock, but Nick's flippant and suggests that she needn't bother as Dot will be dead soon. Pulling some pills out of his pocket, Nick reveals his intention to grind them up and mix the powder with her lunch, but at that moment they hear a crash in the hall. They find Dot sitting on the stairs with the phone on the floor - the vicar's just told her that an old friend Mrs Lowe is extremely ill and she's been taken to hospital. Despite wanting to go and see her, Nick persuades Dot to stay home for the day. Back in the kitchen, Nick's grinding down the pills when Dotty has an idea - why don't they push Dot over the edge by pretending that her friend has died? With Nick out of the room, Dotty notices something in his coat pocket and she's stunned to find a screwed-up picture of her standing outside their dream home. Nick blames it on Dot, but Dotty's not convinced.
Despite an impromptu visit from Bradley, Dotty manages to keep him out of the house as Nick pours the pill powder into a bowl of soup for Dot, but she's not hungry. In a last-ditch attempt to push Dot to the edge, Dotty calls the house pretending to be the vicar and claims that Mrs Lowe is dead. Dotty retrieves her Bible from upstairs and goes to pray with her, just as Nick heads out through the front door. Mid-prayer, Dotty's evidently feeling the guilt. Moving to the kitchen, she finds Nick grinding more pills and he attempts to convince his daughter that she should be the one to poison her grandma as she'll be less suspicious. Reluctantly, she agrees.
After briefly reminiscing about the past, Nick heads out to The Vic, leaving Dotty in the kitchen. She sees two mugs alongside the empty bottle that Nick poured the ground pills into. In the living room, Dotty hands her grandma a mug of claiming she made it 'especially for her'. Gratefully accepting her granddaughter's offering, Dot takes a few sips...
Elsewhere, Syd attempts to tell Bradley to stop running away from the problems Dot has; Bianca discovers that Whitney's skipping her exams; Dawn's unimpressed when Garry suggests that they should buy Summer some clothes from the local charity shop; Bradley snaps at Patrick; Dawn has cross words with Phil about his drinking; Pat attempts to convince Whitney that she'll waste her life away if she doesn't try harder at school; Phil tells Garry to stop being tight with his money; Pat tells Bianca that Whitney needs a mum right now; and Dawn's stunned to return to the flat and find Garry with piles of cash - he wants to buy Minty and Naomi out of the flat so they can be a proper family.
The café explodes
Airs on Tuesday, June 2 2009 at 19:30 BST on BBC One
Dot's lying motionless on the sofa and when Nick returns from the pub, he's convinced that she's dead and he's clearly shaken at the turn of events. He drinks a beer as he and Dotty corroborate their stories in the kitchen. As they plot, Dot wanders through the door and Nick's flabbergasted. Puzzled as to where the pills are and why Dotty didn't go through with the deadly deed, Nick looks down to his beer and realises that she's laced his drink instead. An argument between father and daughter ensues and as Dotty runs out of the door to find her grandma, Nick collapses in the hall. Bolting over to the launderette, Dotty confesses all to a stunned Dot.
Dot struggles to come to terms with the fact that Nick was trying to kill her again, just as Patrick enters and realises something's wrong. He and Dot head back across the Square to speak with Nick but on searching the house, they're shocked to find that Nick's disappeared. Still in the launderette, Dotty panics when Nick arrives and drags her out and into a car. Patrick spots the commotion and tries to stop Nick, but he crashes his car into the flower stall before rushing into the café and locking everyone inside. With a number of the locals' children inside, residents scramble to the market in an attempt to rescue their kids.
While in the café, Whitney's mystery friend offers Nick a set of keys to his car, but in the mayhem, nobody notices that a fire has started on the cooker. With his back turned, Whitney's friend wrestles Nick to the floor, allowing Bradley to take everyone to safety. As the fire takes hold, Nick is still inside. Outside, Whitney's friend has disappeared once again and with no life emerging from the building, Bradley decides to run back inside to save Nick. The pair struggle inside and just as Bradley's heading for the exit, a gas pipe splits and the café explodes...
Elsewhere, Christian's struggling with the business in Ian's absence; Dawn blags her way into a job behind the bar at The Vic; Shirley convinces Christian to let her run the chippy; and Max continues in his attempt to woo Tanya.
Max keeps vigil at Bradley's bedside
Airs on Thursday, June 4 2009 at 19:30 BST on BBC One
In the aftermath of the explosion, Dot attempts to convince a frightened Dotty that Nick's finally out of their lives. At that moment, there's a bang on the door - it's the police. Dot's cagey about their presence, but insists that she knows nothing of his whereabouts. The police leave with no leads but urge Dot to call if she hears anything from him. Meanwhile, the doctors have told Max that Bradley has suffered flash burns and has shards of glass in his eye, and the worried father decides to head to the hospital to be with his son. After Tanya makes her excuses as to why she can't go with him, Max heads across the Square to Dot's and blames her for Bradley's condition. Unnerved by the accusations, Dot asks him to leave.
Later, Dotty tells her grandma that she's convinced Nick will return as a clearly upset Dot questions how she could have been so stupid as to allow Nick back into her life again and blames herself for everything that's happened. Max heads to the hospital alone as Tanya and Syd shunned his suggestion that they go see Bradley. However, Tanya soon arrives and sympathetically takes Max's hand.
Heather stops by Dot's to check that she's okay, and after a frank conversation about recent events, Heather tells Dot that she can't blame herself for the fire. Asking Heather to look after Dotty, Dot rushes out of the door, hospital-bound. As Max and Tanya await news of Bradley's condition, Dot appears in the doorway. When she sees Bradley with burns and an eye patch, she's overcome with a heavy guilt and backs out of the room, unable to shoulder the burden of her son's actions. Upon returning home, Dot can't bear to think or talk about the situation any longer and orders Heather out of the house so she can be alone…
Elsewhere, Dawn's modelling photos arrive and Garry's quite surprised when he sees them - she's modelling jewellery; Whitney's mystery man bumps into her again at the park; Garry claims that his relationship with Dawn will suffer if she continues modelling; the locals blame Christian for the fire; Whitney's conversation with her mystery man becomes awkward when she begins asking a few too many personal questions for his liking; the first cracks begin to show in Garry and Dawn's relationship when he refuses to babysit Summer while she goes to work; Lucy asks Christian for money to buy her silence about the fire; and Phil offers Dawn a stash of money - but will she accept it?
Whitney gets a surprise visitor
Airs on Friday, June 5 2009 at 20:00 BST on BBC One
It's revision time for Whitney, but Bianca's concerned about how she's coping with the pressure. Acknowledging her own shortcomings, Bianca urges her not to throw her life away before it's even begun. Over breakfast, she berates Ricky for not doing enough around the house. Realisation soon hits for Bianca that she's probably entitled to money from Ian because of the café fire and so decides to phone Citizens Advice.
Meanwhile, Whitney relents and decides to sit her exams. On her return from her IT paper, Bianca's planned a girls' night in. However, their excitement is soon interrupted by the arrival of Whitney's teacher, who informs Bianca that Whitney hasn't fully completed any of her exam papers. The teacher's taken aback, though, when Bianca lambastes her for not pushing Whitney more than she is, considering her situation.
A row between mother and 'daughter' ensues, resulting in Bianca telling Whitney to either concentrate on school or get a job to pay her way. However, Whitney's shocked when she opens the door to a familiar face...
Elsewhere, Pat checks in on Dot and is concerned to see that she's not herself in the slightest; and Shirley becomes jealous when Phil seems to be paying a lot of attention to Dawn.

Dot is too old to continue to look after a young child by herself. Perhaps it will transpire that Dot is not really Nick's daughter, he abducted her and her mum/real parents will come for her, having seen a photo of their daughter in the papers after the explosion. :hmm:

She starts a row with Dawn in full view of Albert Square's residents at the Vic - and even covers her in booze.
When Phil rushes to Dawn's defence Shirley calls her a "little princess" before storming out of the pub.
