Monday 1st June
Zeke and Sunny are determined to consummate their relationship with a kiss before their characters do it on the opening night of the play. They are thwarted at every opportunity, leaving Sunny fearing she’s headed for public humiliation. Meantime Lou, moved by Kate’s circumstances and her responsible house-keeping, offers her a job at Harold’s store. Her refreshing honesty and work ethic impress him, and when Kate fixes the coffee machine, Lou feels his curse may be lifting.
Tuesday 2nd June
Bridget’s rushed to hospital after Declan and Harry's fight. Her wrist is only sprained, but Bridget can’t feel the baby kick and fears the worst. Declan struggles to deal with being responsible for placing his child in danger. The crisis brings Miranda and Steve together, and they find comfort in familiarity. Bridget and Miranda blame Rebecca’s allegiance to Paul for driving Declan to act out. He acknowledges that his mother has a lot to deal with in loving Paul, but realises that he can’t fight her battles for her. Rebecca can see the strain she’s putting on him, and finally contacts Paul to tell him she can no longer protect him.
Wednesday 3rd June
Lucas and Elle follow a lead on Paul’s whereabouts, and find themselves in Sydney. They don’t find Paul, but they do find someone else, and what she tells them makes Elle wonder - has Paul been innocent all along? Meanwhile Kate’s furious when Elle’s front-page story on Harry’s fight with Declan attracts the attention of the Department of Human Services. When she finds well-meaning Susan has washed Jill’s cardigan and it no longer smells like her beloved Mum, and then sees Elle and Lucas all lovey-dovey, Kate struggles to keep it together. But could she be responsible for setting a fire that threatens Ringo's life?
Thursday 4th June
When Elle wonders whether the Robinson House fire was deliberately lit, furtive Kate becomes the chief suspect. Elle and Susan don’t want to believe it, but the evidence points to her, and when Susan raises the subject, Kate takes offence; quits her job at Harold’s Store and decides to move her family away from Ramsay Street. Susan gets to the bottom of Kate’s guilt – she merely stole apples from the Robinson backyard and didn’t want to admit it. Elle tries to make amends by offering Kate her job back. Will proud Kate accept?
Friday 5th June
Steve is still furious that Miranda could accuse him of having an affair with Rebecca, and doesn’t want to discuss a possible reconciliation with her. Bridget leans on Declan for support, and so too, does Miranda. His unlikely advice to Miranda propels her to go to Steve and beg for one last chance. It looks like Declan might have succeeded against the odds.
