Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) faces up to the reality of her pregnancy but still refuses to tell Jimmy (Nick Miles). After he’s informed of Nicola’s ‘illness’ by Rodney (Patrick Mower), Jimmy decides to explain to her that she needs to move on. Nicola is incredulous at Jimmy’s arrogance and attacks him with her handbag before dissolving into tears. A fuming Jimmy tells Rodney to control his daughter, arguing that she’s gone mad. Rodney feels he has no choice but to explain that Nicola’s pregnant. He warns Jimmy not to let on that he knows and leaves him in a difficult situation between his joy at potential fatherhood and the prospect of keeping his knowledge of the situation from Nicola. Can Jimmy repair his relationship with Nicola and create a happy home for his unborn child?
Meanwhile, Cain (Jeff Hordley) is puzzled as to why Debbie (Charley Webb) refuses to use Andy’s (Kelvin Fletcher) history of domestic violence against him. When Debbie refuses to stamp her authority on Andy later in the day Cain is furious with her cordial attitude. Debbie explains her fears that if she fights dirty it will somehow bounce back on her. Cain is sorry and wonders what he can do to ease Debbie’s pain. In a quandary over whether he should seek Debbie’s permission, Cain decides to reveal Andy’s history of violence to CAFCASS. What will Debbie say when she discovers what Cain has done?
Elsewhere, David (Matthew Wolfenden) is the laughing stock of the village following his vocal gymnastics. Noticing his despair, Lizzie (Kitty McGeever) offers to do some canvassing by handing out leaflets on David’s behalf. Pollard (Chris Chittell) is intrigued to learn of David’s newest supporter, but appeals to the devil in Lizzie and offers her more money to turncoat. David is miffed to find that Pollard has convinced Lizzie to deliver his campaign leaflets instead of his and Lizzie feels guilty when David refuses to win dirty. Can David find a way to turn the political tide in his favour?

Tuesday 19 May 7pm
Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) and Debbie (Charley Webb) are both concerned as the CAFCASS decision approaches. Andy has a face-off with Cain (Jeff Hordley) prior to the hearing and is disconcerted to hear that he has involved himself in the custody battle. Cain continues to goad Andy on his way out of the Woolpack and reveals he’s told CAFCASS about his history. Andy is furious and tries to run Cain over, but Cain manages to get out the way. Just as he’s about to leave Butlers for the hearing, Andy receives a visit from the police to quiz him about a road traffic offence and realises Cain has shopped him again. When Andy doesn’t show at the hearing Debbie is told the case has been adjourned and immediately questions her father. Cain eventually admits everything and Debbie rails at him for ruining her chances by playing dirty. However when Andy arrives at Tug Ghyll later to argue the toss Debbie jumps to Cain’s defence and warns Andy she will make him suffer. Has Andy blown his chances?
Meanwhile, Lizzie (Kitty McGeever) badgers Pollard (Chris Chittell) for her payment after helping him the day before. When Lizzie threatens to report him to the Hotten Courier, Pollard has no choice but to cough up. As a PR stunt Pollard takes Lizzie to a council function but it backfires when she gets recognised by a woman she has ripped off in the past and they end up in an argument. They are both thrown out by security and Lizzie is later thrown out of the Woolpack as Pollard declares she’s put a huge dent in his campaign bid. Will David’s clean campaign trump his father’s dirty tactics?
Also, Maisie (Alice Coulthard) is at the end of her tether living with Sandy (Freddie Jones) at the Woolpack. Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) tries to smooth a way for Maisie’s return to Home Farm by offering an olive branch but is rebuffed by her daughter. However, after another morning cleaning up after Sandy and being left to tend to the pub on her own, Maisie decides enough is enough and asks Mark (Maxwell Caulfield) to take her home. Natasha is amused when Maisie claims she’s returned to please her, but secretly is glad to have Maisie home. However, little more than a few hours pass before Maisie and Natasha have drawn swords once again. Can the Wyldes live in familial bliss?

Wednesday 20 May 7pm
Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) and Mark (Maxwell Caulfield) are at odds over Maisie’s (Alice Coulthard) growing attraction to Cain (Jeff Hordley). Natasha decides to issue a warning to Cain to steer clear of Maisie. She is distraught to find out that Cain knows she followed Mark and accuses her of using Debbie just as he intends to use Maisie. Natasha returns home and gets both barrels from Mark, who witnessed her altercation with Cain. She is forced to tell him the truth about following him. Feeling guilty Mark assures her has never had an affair and is totally committed to her and the children. That evening Mark gathers the family together and asks Natasha if they can renew their wedding vows. She agrees and the Wyldes are a picture of unity. How will Faye react to the news that Mark is getting hitched?
Meanwhile, Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) is worried when the CAFCASS officer arranges to come and see him. Andy tells the investigating social worker that he didn’t intend to lose his temper with Cain and is sorry. However, the social worker responds by telling him that the reason for her meeting with him is to discuss reports of domestic violence that she’s received. Panicking, Andy lies and claims he never touched Jo. Though the social worker buys his story Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) suggests to Andy that he should have told the truth. Andy explains that they have no reason to doubt him but it’s obvious that the stress of the custody battle is beginning to get to him.
Elsewhere, when Pollard (Chris Chittell) turns his back on Lizzie (Kitty McGeever) following yesterday’s debacle, she ominously tells him that they have unfinished business. Later, Lizzie demands more money for her services at the meeting and when Pollard refuses she pelts him with numerous eggs. Demonstrating her front, Lizzie interrupts a business meeting and refuses to leave until she gets paid. When Pollard threatens to call the police Lizzie finally leaves but issues a word of caution to Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) and the client to not get involved with him. Will Lizzie prove to be a thorn in Pollard’s side?

Thursday 21 May 7pm
Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) sets about planning for a low-key renewal of vows in the village. She manages to lean on Ashley (John Middleton) enough to secure a quick appointment at the church for the following week. With Maisie (Alice Coulthard) waxing lyrical during her shift at the Woolpack, word of the event soon spreads like wildfire. Mark (Maxwell Caulfield) and Natasha arrive later to be met with a barrage of hints and not so sophisticated bribery by villagers all hankering after an invitation. To avoid further earache Natasha announces in the pub that everyone is welcome to attend. Mark bemoans the loss of his quiet ceremony, but agrees with Natasha that if you can’t beat them, join them. However, Cain (Jeff Hordley) unnerves Mark when he congratulates him on his forthcoming wedding. Cain makes it very clear that he knows Mark is hiding something from Natasha and is planning on exploiting him to the maximum. Can Cain find something sinister on Mark?
Elsewhere, Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) mentions to Edna (Shirley Stelfox) and Turner (Richard Thorp) that David (Matthew Wolfenden) has mended his ways and is now completely focussed on the campaign. David is pleased when Edna and Turner offer to reinstate their support for his campaign. Pollard (Chris Chittell) decides to cold call his constituents but fails to win any much-needed support. As the pressure begins to mount on him he’s worried to feel a slight pain in his chest. He heads to the Woolpack and feels another pain in his chest while eating lunch. David notices his father gingerly rubbing his chest and asks if he’s ok. Pollard blames it on indigestion but both he and David are worried. As Val (Charlie Hardwick) hands him some indigestion pills Pollard decides to put his discomfort to the back of his mind. Is Pollard risking his health to win the campaign?
Mick (Tony Haygarth) has to go cap in hand to Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) for money, insisting he’s skint. In the pub Mick admits to Zak (Steve Halliwell) that he’s months behind with his rent and is in danger of being evicted. Zak decides to put their recent differences aside and offers Mick a role in his latest scheme. Mick is intrigued but when Lee (Lewis Linford) makes an appearance he quickly back off, with memories of his grandson’s accident playing on his mind. Can Mick afford to pass over the chance to earn some much needed cash?

Friday 22 May 7pm
David’s (Matthew Wolfenden) concern for Pollard (Chris Chittell) grows when he is subdued in the café. Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) is thrilled that Pollard’s campaign seems to have hit the buffers, but David can’t muster the same enthusiasm. After struggling with some heavy lifting at the factory Pollard sits down in some pain and Val (Charlie Hardwick) insists they go to the hospital. David interrupts them and Pollard tries to put on a brave face, blaming his condition on incessant election baiting from David and Leyla. David is hurt and leaves, allowing Val and Pollard to dash to the hospital. He is taken for an ECG scan and Val is told he’s had a suspected minor heart attack. Addressing her concerns, Val tells Pollard to pull out of the election or risk further damage to his health. Will Pollard listen to his wife?
Elsewhere, Mark (Maxwell Caulfield) struggles to write his vows ahead of the ceremony. As the preparations spiral around him Mark tries to remain focussed on giving Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) the day she deserves. Cain (Jeff Hordley) is served by Maisie (Alice Coulthard) in the Woolpack and hints that she should take him as her guest. Though tempted, Maisie backs off when Natasha spots them together. Natasha takes another opportunity to mark Cain’s card, but he laughs off her threats and smugly says he’ll see her at the ceremony. Realising she’s getting nowhere, Natasha calls in Mark who confronts Cain in the toilets. When Cain refuses to back off Maisie, Mark states that he’ll do anything to stop him. Is Mark wily enough to pit himself against Cain?
Meanwhile, Ashley (John Middleton) is shocked when he picks up Laurel’s (Charlotte Bellamy) bag and Nicola’s (Nicola Wheeler) ultrasound picture falls out. He thrusts it in front of Laurel expecting an explanation but is frustrated when she calmly replaces it in her bag. Ashley persists and Laurel confesses that the baby is Nicola’s. Laurel is uneasy when Ashley is relieved that she isn’t the one that is pregnant. When questioned Ashley admits his fear that if they had another child it might die like Daniel did. Laurel worries that they want different things and that their marriage might be in trouble. Has Nicola’s pregnancy thrown up some unexpected problems?
