After being held at gunpoint and kidnapped, PC Millie Brown (Clare Foster) and Jade Hopkins (Eloise Joseph) are dragged from a van by brothers Si (Sid Mitchell) and Mick Jones (Nick Blood). Once inside a derelict flat, they are tied to chairs and Jade whispers to Millie that she should confess to being a police officer. Aware of how dangerous and tense the situation is, Millie tells Jade to keep quiet.
Back at Sun Hill, concerned officers are told that Jade has gone missing, leaving baby Lewis home alone. They update Jade’s brother, Ronnie Lane (Mark Monero), who tells the officers she must be in serious trouble as she would never leave her son. As the investigation continues, DS Max Carter (Christopher Fox) is informed that Millie has also gone missing and it’s likely both she and Jade have been kidnapped by local gangster Curtis Jenson’s (Ronan Vibert) men. Feeling guilty, Max tells his team that he is determined to find Millie – alive.
Later, Max questions Ronnie who admits he owed Jenson money and assumes the gangster arranged to have Jade kidnapped as a warning and Millie accidentally got caught up in it. Max, along with PCs Sally Armstrong (Ali Bastian) and Ben Gayle (Micah Balfour) go undercover and head to a bar where Jenson is meeting an associate.
When Jade’s estranged husband, Jeff Hopkins (John Glynn) storms into the bar and holds a knife up to Jenson, demanding to know where Jade is, the officers are forced to blow their cover and arrest Jeff. As Sally and Ben take him out to the patrol car, Max has a word with Jenson, who calmly tells the frustrated detective that they have nothing on him.
Elsewhere, Millie continues to try and calm a hysterical Jade, while Si and Mick argue furiously with one another. While the brothers are distracted, Jade attempts to make a run for it and during the confusion, she is shot. Millie desperately tries to help her and while convincing Si and Mick to take Jade to hospital, the brothers realise that she is a police officer. After dumping Jade outside St Hugh’s, Millie is forced back into their van. Will the Sun Hill officers be able to find her before its too late?
Very early spoiler or they have got the date wrong at ITV
